I can't tear up any book. Seeing the germans making bonfires of books left a lasting impression. I copy & prints from books. Also you can probably find pictures to copy off. Have fun.
I have been out of the journaling game for awhile as well, I loved making them but I have been exploring all sorts of crafts. Don’t even get me started on cluttered craft room! As glues go, I always found Fabrica was my favorite. It dried really fast so that could be a down fall of you need to reposition your paper but the best part is I don’t get wrinkles in my paper. I’ll definitely be making some of these for my husband to share at Church. He finds little crosses at yard sales to give to the priests to share with his parishioners who he visits. The thing is, when he lets people know what he’s doing, they just give him the jewelry or home decor. This is a really sweet thing to do. The priests tell my husband that it has been a huge uplift in spirits when someone really needs it. I absolutely love that, so this is going to be something I can really get into. Thanks for sharing!
Wow!! I absolutely love that idea and that your hubby serves the church congregation in that way. So beautiful and inspirational. I started paper crafting so that I could make cards for our church. It gives all this paper and glue more purpose to serve others. I hope you have fun making these prayer pockets. 📄✂️🙌🌈💕
Very cute, I really like tsunami rose also, and have a number of her sets. A really good way to use them, too. Thank you for sharing, and these turned out so cute!
I LOVE THESE, and your tutorials🙌 I have been making junk journals for 4 or 5 years--SO FUN & therapeutic🙌……. Ok as for the people that are so stressed & opinionated about not knowing what a junk journal is: 1) ASK in a kind positive affirming way!! 2) go to the search bar in TH-cam and type in “Junk journals for beginners”…. 3)don’t criticize something you know nothing about P-L-E-A-S-E….. life is hard enough, and we tune into these channels to feel creative &uplifted
I love this idea and can’t wait to make a few. A friend has dementia. I want to include pictures of her family so she can hold it in her hand! Thanks 🙏🏽
I refuse to tear up a book, especially an old hymnal because they are quickly disappearing and I feel they are important to my walk with my Lord but, I will make copies of the pages to use. I ask everyone to please not destroy any book. One day even our hymnals will be on the banned book list.
Hi Cheryl, The book pages used were from books that were no longer in tack. Sometimes they have other damage that prevents them from being resold or used in any traditional way. I understand as a book lover the desire to preserve books. 📕💕
I will figure a way to make half page ones .My new Choir group at church. Its our 1st there . I may like them. I'll try a different corner on each or stitch first name.
Hi Bitty, Thanks for this Prayer Journal video. I absolutely LOVE it. It's such a great little gift for the women in one's prayer meeting group. Or for one's Christian friends. TFS. 💛🤗💛🤗💛🤗
very cute idea!! I love projects that use old book pages - or even old music book pages! We had around 8 to 10 ladies to a table at our Bible study group, and I made similar "folio" type journals (different style) for the ones at my table, to keep notes & stuff in. I made everyone's unique and they were so excited! I even printed up a list of names & numbers for them to go in it, so we'd know who was who on group texts. I love how you timed yourself and worked out how much time it takes to make each one! I"m usually so slow, making one at a time - but since you had the cards and things pre-made, that made it super easy! Time-saving is great - thanks for a thumbs up video!
Looking into making one of the prayer journals for my DIL ( my inspiration). So it got me thinking about what printer I would need to have to buy the digitals. Can you give me any leads? You inspired me too. Love what you did here thank you!
Love these! Something relatively simple but fun and useful. Can you show us how you put the papers in the printable sand what you used next time? Did you just staple them? Didn’t look like you used twine or anything like that. It’s so fun crafting with you Bitty Penny!
Hi Ronda, Happy New Year! I hope your year ahead is filled with joy, happiness and lots of crafty adventures. I stapled the pages inside. I briefly showed it, but not the process. I plan on making these again with different supplies and so I will include that the next go around. I always appreciate the feedback. Much love!
Thank you 🤗 I am so glad you enjoyed these. I have a whole prayer journal series going on in the new year. I am very excited about it. Thanks so much for watching. ✂️📄🦋🙌💕
Hi Tammy, If you’re layering up the cover then standard 20lb would be fine. I use matte photo paper and double sided presentation paper for the best digital prints. ✂️🙌💕🌸
I can't join until the 3rd of next month when I get paid. I'm on disability and my card doesn't have any money at all on it. I just love your art! I was actually making some flowers, but this caught my eye.
Hey Kim, Thanks so much for your sweet words. I would say make these out of anything you already have. You could write Bible verse on 🏷️ tags which can be made out of anything as well. I am delighted you feel inspired. ✂️🥰📄🙌💕
I do not even know to this day what a junk journal is there’s all kinds of music pages and word page. How are you supposed to write on that? What is it for a journal is for journaling I don’t understand what a junk journal does. What do you you put junk in it?
Hahaha. You are in great company, Laurie. I think junk journals are a mystery to many. I will try to share some more information and ideas of how they can be used.
Hi JD, I did print those here at home on a Cannon G3200 with a standard cardstock. I now print on photo paper whenever possible for more saturated color. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
Lovely prayer pocket journals Tobey 🥰 I love your designs, the pattern papers and your tutorial ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx Happy new year 🎉
Happy New Year, Joan. I hope 2022 blesses you and your family in every possible way. That you have the time and opportunity to enjoy it all. Best wishes.
Hi Rosaries, I used Lineco PVA glue. It is amazing, professional quality glue, at a very reasonable price. I get mine on Amazon. I hope this helps. Welcome to the wonderful hobby of paper crafting. 📄✂️🙌💕😂
Hi Kimberly, they came out of a book that was falling apart. It was in pieces and I rescued it from a trip to the landfill. I see music books in thrift stores pretty often. You can also find printables on Etsy. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for watching. 📄✂️🙌💕🥰🌈

Aww i’m glad to hear what junk journaling does for you. I hope you continue making them every chance you get!
I only partly agree. Sometimes they need to be criticized, especially when the journal looks like a piece of trash.
@@charlesmangum2100 Only an artist sees ART in everything.❤️🔥
