- Really sorry about the reupload. I mistakenly assumed that Lava's right arm was due to Oripathy without checking her file. Hopefully that wasn't too much of a bother.
Now that the R6S collab is on global, I thought I'd cover Oripathy.
Oripathy has pretty much always been shrouded in mystery (when is the emergence of law anyway), but there are bits and pieces here and there to form a rough picture. For one, we've seen more than enough of how it affects its victims. You probably don't have to imagine to know how painful rocks growing out of you are. Oripathy is also caused by Originium, which is a mystery in itself, and if Eyja's files are any indication, Originium is much more than just some magic mineral snake oil that has a side effect of rock cancer.
While Oripathy was used as a setup for the Reunion arc, I don't think it's going to be the main focus in the later chapters (which falls in line with the lore revelations in the past few months). In an interview a long time ago, Lowlight has said that he wants to tell a story about humans versus gods.
We'll see how that goes.

According to Earthspirit, she can hear her "staff talking to her." That made you wonder if Oripathy is a hive mind or a mind of it's own.
It might also be effect of being infected, since it's confirmed she got Oripathy.
Update: In Ptilopsis' new module it stated that Originium has it's life itself.
It's great that you brought up Amiya's quote from their meeting with Chief Wei back at Lungmen. Hope that this video spread to more players so that they can understand the disease.
I remember reading an entry on Ash's log about how a RI operator is saying it's much easier to use arts and originium than simply making her originium-free rounds. I personally think the world of Terra's overrealiance on originium is a problem as well...
considering originium is always there i guess that makes sense just like earth relying on fossil fuel
@@rofirofi112 I don't think fossil fuel will get ingested in our bodies and cause decay, but I think it's more similar to a radioactive mineral, which irl has limited license for use and highly controlled

Really Interesting about the Lore.
Columbia is pretty much like the US. Infected or not doesn't really matter if you have money and power, it is basically everybody fights for their own. You won't get forced into slave labour like in Ursus, but if you are infected and poor you won't find a job, unless you are amazing at whatever you do, and end on the street and later dead with no chance for medicine.
Basically, they don't care about you either way, the only thing that matters is money and making money gets harder the less money you have and even worse when you get infected.

So oripathy has been a thing since rule of law exist, and it spreads into a disease since the overused of originium i guess
By air it's possible... but a little maybe okay but if a lot like Catastropher is dangerous...
And that why Ursus Soldier use Masks for prevent Originium from entering their bodies.
And their Masks were made by Kal'tsit... when Kal'tsit still working with the Ursus government.
That why i like Arknights universe, Lore is detailed, makes sense and is very interesting to read.

Also, I wonder how one can cure Oripathy? Would it be as easy as removing the originium from the blood? Like how some arts can control blood originium.
Also, could a person use dead infected as fuel? Since the dead turn into originium?

Question, does using staff/wands to cast arts still affects their oripathy? Or they use it to atleast slow down the infection while still using arts?
I'm pretty sure using staves to cast is fine, since the Originium you're using as the catalyst is in the staff and not in you. It's when you use the Originium on you as a catalyst that it becomes a problem.

I heard that oriphaty giving some kind of special power...
But what about those who uninfected who can cast arts? Any different on arts and super power from that oriphaty?
I've talked about this a bit in my video on Arts, but the gist is that Oripathy can let you cast Arts without a staff because you have Originium growing out of you. Whether someone can cast Arts, or if they're good at Arts, is unrelated to whether they're infected or not.
Ahhhh i thought that ONLY ppl with oripathy can cast art...
But then i look at those caster who doesnt have oripathy like Mostima etc

Alright I went to check something, so Patriot, right? Died standing, placed the crown on Amiya's head, placed his trust on RI, advanced and all that but his body if you remember is like 60%(?) Originium at that point but guess what his body didn't crumble he was just standing there like a crystal statue bruh

If you see the origium blood density in their profile, it was undisclosed.
They have been living a place around infected people for 6 month. And all survive all of those originium monster, and yet their originium blood density is still 0(i assume so, because why would they undisclose their originium blood density)
@@Hindshell5438 they probably didn't disclose it because it really was 0. Take nian and dusk for example. We don't know what species they are but it's stated that they have lived for a very long time and the originium density is extremely low but not 0. No character has their density at 0. Probably because originium is present about everywhere so from the point people on terra are born they are in contact with it while r6s ops aren't from terra and they didn't get infected while dealing with those slugs and living for a month in a dangerous area, it's safe to assume originium has no effect on them
Still wonder if doc is confirmed to be infected or not. I mean if there's anyone who had been an Oripathy and Originium researcher who had been in contact with originium in a long time as been stated in the lore, it should be doc, yet I see no confirmation of he's infected or not.
I’m pretty sure they’re not infected, but we know so little about them, physically, that we don't even know their sex.
Given Kal'tsit speculated that Meph's transformation could be due to the sarcophagus not being compatible with infected, we can assume Doc themselves aren't infected.
@@wubfiish the sarcophagus pretty much reversed meph into a "base" state of his species (he's a liberi). We still have priestess who we don't really know anything about and the fact that doctor and her might be human
@@insideyoribcage consider that a QnA where the dev answer that there's no homo sapiens in arknights, so doctor and especially priestess has low chance of actual being homo sapiens.

Is Doctor immune to Oripathy?
The video should be at the start of the game, it is one of my main criticisms of the game, how bad they present the world building. If you don't read the loading screen summaries (that also swap way too fast) you won't get that kind of information, it is just very bad at conveying that important information.

They didn't infodump you as they took a perspective of someone already living in Terra for a long time. Making the things happening being a "normal thing"
Why would someone go far lengths regarding a disease that has been around for a long time? Its common knowledge to Terran's
Originium Dust adds to the smaller more minute things like tech and cars as these things are "not normal" to R6S and thus need to be explained
Oripathy and Originium might be tied to the Three Powers of Arknights' Terra: Immortal Sky creatures, the Aegerian monstrous Pantheon and the possible Terran deities associated with Kal'tsit and her Mon3tr
Kal'tsit hides too much secrets long before the project Babel by Sarkaz Monarchy that it's infuriating to see of how too little lore is given with each sparse of events, at least they need to make more novels with original Chronological stories about it, as Arknights Roguelike has more worldbuilding on the origin of Terra's landscape from fossil remains of giant creatures to powerful and peculiar Artifacts of Powers than most of the events
My aforementioned frustration about the sparse lore and Kal'tsit ridiculous centuries' of secrecy is more directed to how Hypergryph does storytelling, this on top of wall of texts of saying a lot without explaining much has been trademark of Hypergryph's writing problem, feels like I or anyone in the fandom can write more interesting fanon by comparison
