Today I volunteered to take this wonderful bunch of avid scouts on a 7 km or 5-mile hike from Bonasse to La Envieuse Estate along St Marie Road. Our first stop is a World War 2 Bunker then we visited two 205-year-old tombs of a former French plantation owner and his wife and then to the Balkadevi Shrine where there is a mud volcano. The majority of the young Scouters were exhausted at the end but it was a fun-filled activity with two simulations along the route a snake bite and a wasp sting.
