Adventure to Edith Falls Macqueripe, One of the tallest Waterfalls in Trinidad! A complete guide.

- Edith Falls is located on an abandoned cocoa estate overlooking the Chaguaramas Public Golf Course (along the Macqueripe Road). Join me as we explore , get lost and guide you to have a refreshing waterfall bath on this beautiful hike!!!
My name is Alan Charles (the Trini Surfer) and I am here to show you the beauty of my home country TRINIDAD and the rest of the world on my TRAVELS.
An easy 30-minute nature hike takes you along a wide trail through a tonka bean plantation, red heliconias, bamboo clusters, exotic rain forest as well as several tropical species of fauna, indigenous to Trinidad.
Along the walk, you may even be lucky to spot a Red Howler Monkey in its natural habitat or parrots coming home to roost in the evening. The base of the waterfall is in an actual riverbed, which means climbing over some rocks, but it is certainly worth the effort. This is a three-level, 250-feet fall that is best viewed during the island’s rainy season. Otherwise it’s more like a trickle that produces a mist of water at the bottom.

It's been years I haven't been there. The terrain looks so different, but still beautiful and adventurous. I will definitely have to make a hike and get back my bearings to the falls

This is a nice and easy one that most can visit..
Back in early 2020 before C19 I went to the top of the falls, no water in the river bed, hot sun but thr timr we got down there was rain, thunder, lighting and flood on the trail but we were safe. As we got to the road and look up she was busting with huge amounts of water and had split into two falls, so when the water is extra heavy she turns into two falls at some distance apart. One of the guys working on the course for years told us that he never before saw so much water come off the fall or split in two in all his years there. So, we went right back up to the bottom or the falls. The run off in the river and the trail was flood like conditions and the heavy spray off the falls created a tick mist that was magnificent.. Hope you guy one day really get to see her in all her splendor like I did... Cheers.

Nice video…I went on this hike 3years ago…I slipped off one of the rocks on the way back down…you make it look so easy
It was quite slippery to be fair haha 😂 it’s normal to slip and fall on hikes

My mom and I have been to Edith Falls maybe 15 + years ago. Watched with my mom. She say, look how Alan got a nice water. We went when it was a tickle 😊 and there were no digital cameras. Great videos! I have been to most of these places and would not have lead you astray. I was just thinking the only thing missing is a bit of geek input e.g names of flowers and trees (9:19), geological and historical background etc. Yes, it's a balisier. One of the many Heliconias in T&T.

This location was my first ever hike. I was in secondary school at the time (early 00s) and it was through our environmental club that I was exposed to hiking and just the start to seeing my beautiful island.
