- Day 1 of our 2 day team tournament got off to a great start! Although we weren't able to get a big bite the first day, we were able to cull our way up to over 14 lbs and put ourselves in position to win the tournament.

That black and yellow frog he's fishing....we used to call that color rainforest black...I have caught more toads on that frog than all my other top waters combined! GREAT LURE AND COLOR

Nice to actually see someone include clips that are not bass. I usually try to target bass but where i'm at the pike bite doesn't discriminate on baits lol. they hit damn near anything

3rd is a great spot. I don't know the conditions but I would throw a popper or any reaction bait then rig a swimbait on another rod in case the fish misses. Good luck hope y'all get 1st!

what bait did you use? they seemed successful, i usually go with tube jig.
Have it ever bought of a fan bait challenge kind of thing? Fans send in baits and hooks and you fish and review how you honk it did?
Ben,I noticed that you use an ABU GARCIA VENGENCE rod as your frog rod.
I have been buying all new rods, Reels & tackle since all of my older stuff was stolen or broke. I saw the Vengence rod and thought I'd get 2. Both were the 7'6" flippin sticks until on of my Autistic grand children that didn't know any better than into my room, grabbed one of them then shook it & into the ceiling fan it went, broke off about the 1st top section. I thought about returning it, but then I thought to myself, "Self, don't take it back, you've got a great Catfish rod, extra heavy for pullin in those Whiskered Kitty's!"
