We used to have those flowers growing in our garden. Despite how amazing their flowers are, passion plants are actually quite invasive in nature and tended to outcompete everything else residing on the same fence. This isn't helped by the fact that the tentacles (they probably have an actual name but whatever, I digress) hold on to other plants and limit their growth. So we had to remove a big section of passion plant eventually, only to find that its roots spread 10 meters or so underground... A very peculiar and admirable species indeed.

@James Merryman you should seriously create a user friendly site on all plants (weeds, flowers, invasives...anything) to help people like me keep learning about our plant world. Right now, I'm trying to find info on what weeds are telling us, why they choose specific areas to grow, why particular insects are attracted to certain ones...things like that. Also, I'm looking for all info on gardening with certain plants, what they're doing or not doing for what reaaon...If it was all in one place created by knowledgeable people like yourself (not quite a plant wiki, but sorta similar where it could only be edited by certain creators or information given would be okayed prior to going live) would benefit so many!
And it's fruit is the best one 😋😋😋😋😋

This is so awesome! I am going to share this with my class. You have an awesome example of the blooming process that clearly shows the sepals (outer leaves below the bloom) covering and protecting the flower before it opens. I hope you do not mind that I am going to share this with my class!

Thank you so much for this amazing video! After living here fo 45 years I recently found one flowering heavily on my front porch. No idea how it got there and fruit seen yet. I jiggled the flowers hoping to pollinate. I hope you will eventually show a video of how it goes from flower to fruit. The way the plant grabs to climb for more light is very interesting. I guess we all have that program in us.
