    Love it and just bought one! The only thing about this video I wish the pedal would have been shown. That way everyone could see the adjustments.

    The problem with Acoustic Simulators (well ONE of the problems) is that when you're strumming an electric guitar, open chords in particular, you have to have impeccable technique or at least be aware that light gauge strings are so easily bent out of tune which causes the guitar sound out of tune. To my ears it stands out, maybe others don't notice as much. That aside, great demo and thank you!

    • @JustinBlair
      @JustinBlair  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's a really good point - you're definitely right on that. Gotta be super conscious of how you're fingering the notes, but when used right, I do think simulator pedals can be a lot of fun. Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed the vid

    I've been checking out a way to get the sound Gary Moore had on his song BUSINESS AS USUAL (Live and in studio) without buying all the pickups and extra wiring. Checked out a Boss and everything just sounds like an electric guitar to me. This pedal however sounds as close as I can get without spending a fortune. Thanks for a very informed post!

    Great demo. I am a bit new on guitar, I did buy it to keep training at night using my electric guitar instead of acoustic with phones... what do you think about this idea?

    • @JustinBlair
      @JustinBlair  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks very much! Yeah that's a great idea - perfect way to cut down on the ambient room noise, AND try out different acoustic tones at the same time - very cool

      @@JustinBlair thanks for this quick answer. I was wondering if is good idea, thats why I posted the question. Thank you to use your time to answer me. Much appreciated, as well I notice that the technique in the electric must be more specific otherwise sounds like out of tune, something not noticed on the acoustic so easy. But perhaps is a way to refine the techniques too :)

    Great demo, very high quality. Have you tried the Boss AC-3? If so, which pedal do you prefer? Thanks for the awesome content. Rock on! 🤘

      Thanks for checking out the video and the kind words! I did try that one out a little while back - both are great pedals - I would say the main benefit of the Boss is the slightly wider range of tweaking and tone control, while the Mooer is a little more intuitive and quicker to get up and running. Also, at about a third of the price, I would overall recommend the Mooer. Thanks again!

      The Mooer is by far the best acoustic sim, in pedal format. I originally bought one for an electric upright bass (stick bass). It works amazing for that. Not quite the big woody bass sound, but a huge improvement over the straight piezo bridge pickups. My best advice to anyone using this pedal.... DON'T try to sim an acoustic, but think of it more as turning your electric into a semi-hollow. If you go in, expecting the semi hollow experience and not the 1930s martin experience, this will be pedal, that never leaves your board. A true sleeper pedal.

    Using one of these and playing close to the neck, will make it sound even more like an acoustic, selector in split or neck pup. You might even have to drop the bass a bit though.....

    • @JustinBlair

    Hey dude suppose I am in the overdrive channel and then mid song i use this pedal,will I get an acoustic sound or an OD acoustic trash or something? I am pretty new to pedals and stuff.

    • @JustinBlair
      @JustinBlair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question - If you run this pedal into the overdrive channel on an amp, it will sound sort of like plugging an acoustic guitar into an amp - I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, but it might work out, depending on the tone you are looking to get. Thanks for watching!

    Every time I watch a review about one of these pedals the guys says "if you don't wanna lug around two guitars" but there's another reason: apparently nobody wants to swallow their pride and admit that an acoustic is harder to play. On a high-end, $4000 acoustic guitar you still have to press about five times harder on the frets then you do on a $90 electric. Don't believe me? Search "Slash acoustic" and you'll see (no, it's not a drunk video) nearly 30% of *his* notes are completely muted. The strumming (of course) is fine but the arpeggios sound pretty bad. But his solos! His solos sould like a little kid played them.
    And that's why, even though I'm a music fanatic, who barley goes four hours a day without my guitar on my lap, I can say without shame, once I bought a similar pedal, I'll likely live my whole life and never touch that goddamn instrument again.
