    VERDICT:
Against bosses, Ashina Cross is basically a more powerful but harder-to-use version of Whirlwind Slash. I really wish this Combat Art was better, but I always find it underwhelming due to the fact that the forward lunge really doesn't cover as much distance as I ever want it to; you still have to be pretty close to your target to make it land. It does however deal a TON of “stance” damage (not Posture - what I'm calling “stance” is the thing that allows larger enemies to be staggered/stunned once you've hit them enough times), which makes it very strong against the bosses that can be staggered, such as Gyoubu Oniwa, Guardian Ape, and Demon of Hatred. Otherwise, I don't really find it super useful despite the fact that it deals a lot of damage, because of how slow it is to prepare.
