You're awesome!! I got myself one of these... and it's insanely good... sorted my life real good after 2 years of working with only tablets and mobiles...
@@jennych1307 Now that I've got a chance to use it for many months. Yes, the fan spins up very often and the underside expecially the left gets very hot. There have been times when I had to put my laptop up in tent mode just because it was getting too uncomfortable to keep laptop on a lap or on the side with hot air blowing out the left. Not too sure if it is a problem with Windows / BIOS, I tried updating everything couple of months back.
This is what I needed best laptop review ever 😃👍👍👍 I'm a college student and its hard to find good reviewers on laptops as thry just talk and talk or compare. Thanks for getting to the good points, totally nailed it on the video.
I bought this laptop about 6 weeks ago, this is the first review i have seen of it in youtube. Such a good laptop imo. I use it for uni work, playing the sims 4 and Microsoft office (including one note as my x360 came with the hp pen included). But it doesnt have the fingerprint scanner or keyboard backlight (for some reason) . Definitely recommend.
Not sure havent tested it. Its supposed to be 6 hours continuous, but I think you mean how long will it last fully charged, off the charger, and not in use? Not sure yet.
Andrew, I'm a big fan. As always, it's an outstanding review. I think you have to review the HP Envy x360, which has a Ryzen processor. It's another great option for students, and especially for its APU with improved graphics performance. Keep on doing this!
Honestly, I don't see too many reviews of the 14" version. Great video 👌😊. It might be the perfect middle ground between the 13" and 15.6" versions. I love the fact that you address the weight of the unit while it's in tablet mode as well as upgradeability options as it's a deal breaker for me if I don't have expandable options. Ravi Peiris M.D.
Hi marc. Can you review the envy x360 as well? There are no decent reviews on it. I think you and lisa from mobiletechreview make the best laptop reviews. She does not have a review on the envy x360 either
I was almost sold, until that darned battery life! 2 in 1, check. Backlit keyboard, check. 14" screen, check. Pen support, check. Decent speakers, check. 6 hour battery per charge? Seriously? Come on HP. You can do better and still keep the unit reasonably priced!
I was originally going to get the MacBook Air but once I had to pay for expensive textbooks I needed to save my money for a way cheaper laptop thank you for the video had great information can’t wait to get this laptop next week!
i have been using the exact same one for over a month now. Everything is fine except the speakers it did have a really good sound quality for a week or two but after that it started making some very iritating noises even though it wasn't on high volume. But overall it's a pretty good computer i highly reccomend it even though i can only use it with headphones now. About the gaming part... i mean it runs the games but it overheats very quickly, so yeah it can run some games but i don't reccomend playing it. As i said it's a pretty good laptop overall i highly reccomend it but it does have some flaws, very minor but there are some.
I have a newer one of these with all sorts of upgrades and at a end price of 2K, it's not a beast by any chance, but it's amazingly capable. It does everything in a snap. Battery life is okay. I just love it.
I’m a high school student with 1 year left, I need a laptop that will last me until university. Needs to be affordable, fast, lots of storage. Main use is research, presentations. I kinda want a touchscreen too. Nice vid!
Just bought two of these and they both had the same issue- slight backlight bleeding when you should be seeing pitch black, the top and top corners (especially) have lighter spots. That was my onlyyyy critique
After 20+ years in the software business, I recently bought one of these HP x360 laptops, and loathe it. Just *try* typing on it. Try to use the ALT + left/right arrow keys without accidentally hitting the \ key in between. Try using curly brackets. The keyboard is dreadful. Just to add, I actually bought a HP Envy 13" (2021 model) first and had to send it back as that didn't even have a , \ key on the keyboard... for a software developer, that's crazy. For my next laptop, I'll be going back to having an Acer Swift model. The Acer keyboard just makes sense....
Bought this laptop 3 yrs ago, an it's worked for me fine, but now it seems to be cooling a lot and the battery only lasts 2 hrs. Now the sound is beginning to glitch. So thanks for the review on a newer model. (may buy again).
Hello. I want to say about this laptop. I wanted to blend into macbook (air2013~) apple ecosystem with ip12 applwse . But didn't want to spend a lot of money for crap plastic. I found this laptop by marketplace and I bought it. The most best laptop ever.. Hardly to don't feel amazed how strongly it perform for the price of less than 300dollars.. My recommendation is to stick with windows x 😀
I got what was likely the last of the previous series (c-series; Andrew is showing d-series) a few months ago. I agree that this is a very good laptop. I highly recommend it. The physical differences I see are a different placement of the fingerprint reader and thinner side bezels. There's also a negligible reduction in weight in the newer model (3.49 lbs. vs. 3.53 lbs.) My particular configuration (HP has SEVERAL models of the "HP Pavilion x360 14") includes: *same CPU as the video *same screen size and resolution, but *16gb of DDR4 RAM and *an HP Pen. My device cost 519.99. So, while the cosmetic differences make for a slightly prettier machine, I am very pleased that I was able to get essentially the same quality device for less money. I reiterate that the laptop shown is a very good choice.
I already got an amazing deal for the Lenovo Thinkbook 14s with the i7 but this looks like amazing price to performance and build ratio though. I came from an 8 year old HP probook :'v
Mr. David, just some feedback: just drop your "coming up" or at least change the tone with which you say it, in your intro. It sounds out of place in an otherwise classy review video.
