You know you could do what I dont see often. Breaking Bad came out in 2008-2013 I think what good use of your channels time would be for you to not only rewatch Breaking Bad but Break down EVERY EPISODE AND SEASON AND TRULY put the whole narrative together in full perspective in 2022. It would be a perfect use of your story telling talents, and breakdowns and easter egg findings. Breaking down Breaking Bad one more time would be Epic and solidify your channel.

A lot of people scoff at this kind of recap videos, but I feel like they definitely fill a purpose for these kinds of shows. They really lay out how each scene is a step in a major character arc.
I've been a die hard fan of this series since winter of 2008 when AMC aired Breaking Bad. Sopranos was gone and I truly missed it, yet by season 2 of BrBa I realized it was even better than Sopranos. To me, BCS and BrBa are the same series. I love them both and they flow together beautifully.
In "Bagman", when Saul and Mike react negatively after Mike snipes the truck driver, I always assumed it was because they both hoped to salvage the truck and/or water. Then, the truck is instantly destroyed beyond repair, extending their trek through the desert.
Im mot kidding when I say this, every episode of this season is so inspiring on a filmmaking and acting level. Every other shot is so smart and well composed and there’s so many surreal character moments this season (Jimmy’s outburst to Howard still sticks with me)
i think that Mike's monologue about choices in 5x09 sums up perfectly the whole breaking bad universe philosophy, it's like he's explaining straight to the audience how both brba and bcs work.
The significance of this was the fact the reason this rings true is because it's in their nature. Walt got off the road in s3 but due to his ego he got back on the road. Jimmy said he would change in season 1 but there is a part of him that keeps taking short cuts Mike tried to avoid being a killer despite the whole Matty thing he is reminded to not take half measures Nacho is forced to be on a train track because the road he is on has rails where gus and the salamancas control it. The road people put themselves on is a familiar pattern where you are wired to not have the proper self control. Or you are like nacho and you are on rails. People like walt when they turn off want to get back on. People like jimmy are impulsive and encouraged unintentionally and intentionally by people around him. Nacho same thing. Some people are lucky and get to turn away before it's to late. Some get the courage to make a U turn. But the brba charaters are on a road and are either unable to turn off or on some level don't want to Jimmy wants to change but he also wants to scheme because it's familiar and fun for him and he lives so much in the mommebt he only has clarity afterwards. Mike has a very self acceptance to his own actions and to him the road is impossible to turn your back to. But Jimmy does turn his back on the road by the last episode. Jesse turns his back. Walt never did. Kim turned her back. The difference between them is Kim turned way before she got to the point where she has to live on the run or in jail it ruined her life but she can atleast try to repair it. Jesse turned his back after his life got ruined and is forced to start over and sure he is free and gets a fresh start and jesse has learned his lesson but he is certainly not at peace. Jimmy ruined his life while it's not the worse a prisoner could ask for while the show points out he will be fine in prison. There is a more phycological tormebt Jimmy mcgill can't die as jimmy there's only one person in tge world who knows him as James Morgan mcgill. But the point is the big challenges when you want to turn off is that your life might be crippled by it. Most of tge charaters in brba and bcs for don't really see themselves turning themselves in
4:17:00 - if to use a points system, SS = 6, S = 5, A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1 Season 3 and 5 leading by far, and nearly tied!!! with season 3 having 1 S tier more, but season 5 having 1 SS tier more, making the difference! 1st - season 5 with 46 points 2nd - season 3 with 45 points 3rd - season 1 with 38 points season 2 and season 4 tied for last with 33 points predicting season 6 to get 49 points (after scaling for the 13 episodes) Highly enjoyed this video, can't wait for the 6 hour long season 6 vid😄

Kim's monologue to Lalo is really impressive for a multitude of reasons, but one of the main reasons being that it actually made Lalo feel something. It made him realize he truly has no one but himself on his side, it gives him a feeling of loneliness he never had before. Its why he attaches himself to Nacho, because he genuinely trusts Nacho. And notice during his convoluted scheme of revenge in Season 6, he never once does anything suggesting he wants revenge against Nacho. I think Kim's words cut Lalo so deep that it made him attatched enough to Nacho enough to not live up to his family's "blood for blood" schtick.

@34:43 I absolutely LOVED this moment. When the girl accidentally changes the channel, says "sorry," and changes it back, we see Nacho kind of make a face and reach for something. It made me so nervous thinking Nacho was going to yell at her, and maybe chuck something at her head. I know that's not exactly in Nacho's character, but we haven't seen him with women very much, maybe never, and I'm expecting typical TV drug dealer abusive behavior. But instead, he gently and thoughtfully dumps out the jigsaw puzzle for her. It really cemented Nacho's character for me, as a guy with a good heart probably in the wrong line of work.
Honestly while I love episodes that Vince has done, Thomas Schnauz has consistently written some of the best episodes in each season (Pimento, Winner, Bad Choice Road, Plan and Execution, among many others) he really is the goat

Bad Choice Road is the entire reason I love BCS/BB, while the action in Bagman is fantastic the tense character moments in 509 and similar episodes are why these shows are legendary

actually one of the only youtubers i see actually applaud the actors of hated/annoying/evil characters, they genuinely do an amazing job at getting a viewer to hate their character and they dont get enough credit for that
Fun fact: Jimmy wasn't wrong in calling the visual effect "bluescreen". If Jimmy's team recorded the shots in film, it would've worked better to use blue screens. But since they likely used a digital camera, green was the right choice. Allow me to explain: Blue screens were actually the norm back in the analog era of film, as blue light is the clearest light (and highest energy) within visible light spectrum, which produces crisp high contrast images that makes it easier to remove the background from the person or object being filmed. This was somewhat phased out in the era of digital c̲h̲r̲o̲m̲a̲ ̲k̲e̲y̲s̲ (removing a spectrum of light from one image, so you can place the resulting image in a different background). Green screens are easier to light, due to their higher luminance; and because of the way digital cameras work (camera sensors double the green), green contrasts better with skin tones and objects. Blue screens are still sometimes used for low light situations, but they have largely fallen out of favor. Although technically any color can technically be chroma keyed, as seen in the movie "Dune" where they used dirt-colored backgrounds to better match the movie's desert aesthetic. The run of episodes from Bagman through Point and Shoot may be the greatest run in dramatic TV history. Overall, 5 is my second favorite season after 4. It’s a close second. The Acker scams are so over the top that it takes me out of the story for a bit. But once it hits those last 3 episodes, Season 5 really brings everything home in grand fashion.

This was quite a ride! S5 was definitely the moment BCS reach the levels of intensity of BB, such and incredible show and it pains me to see how every year BCS hasn’t won a single Emmy it’s just outrageous considering the quality of the show

Overall, 5 is my second favorite season after 4. It’s a close second. The Acker scams are so over the top that it takes me out of the story for a bit. But once it hits those last 3 episodes, Season 5 really brings everything home in grand fashion.
I feel like it's only eclipsed by the beginning of Breaking Bad Season 5B up to Ozymandias.

This was quite a ride! S5 was definitely the moment BCS reach the levels of intensity of BB, such and incredible show and it pains me to see how every year BCS hasn’t won a single Emmy it’s just outrageous considering the quality of the show
