    Very good and very detail video. Thanks; however I didn't see the air bleeding after this replacement. I remember one of the shop they screwed up my Camry car with the head gasket blown up 6 months later after they replaced the thermostat without bleeding the air. I thought after filling the coolant, engine should be run until thermostat open up, then top it off and until all air bubble is gone.

    • @YiannisPagonis

      Bleeding in the cooling system will be completed after opening the thermostat. Bleeding is done automatically with the circulation of coolant in both the engine and the car radiator

      Os culpados mais prováveis são um interruptor termostático, resistor do ventilador, interruptor de temperatura, relé de baixa ou alta velocidade ou um problema de fiação. Se o veículo superaquecer, tome cuidado ao dirigir para evitar mais danos por superaquecimento.

    Not everyone is familiar with workigng under the hood of a car. Some DYI'ers can change a battery, a headlight bulb, a hose, an air filter etc. But for what you are showing some verbal instruction to do what you're doing would have been more helpful. Skip the background music and talk the viewer through it.

    My temp gauge is reaching the 3rd line whenever I drive and almost the 4th close to HOT with my A/C on. What could be the problem? What should I replace to fix the issue? Is it my thermostat, water pump or compressor? My auxiliary fan works fine. I guess.

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The primary reason your car temperature gauge goes up and down while driving is simply because a component in your cooling system is not functioning correctly. This could be the thermostat valve, radiator hoses, radiator fan, the temperature gauge, or the coolant itself that circulates around and cools off the engine.

    Hello, I have my high idle fault, I found that the PCV when removing the hose that goes to the throttle body, the rpm's drop to approximately 500. I took out the PCV and cleaned it, still the problem. But note that regardless of engine temperature, air always passes from the PCV to the throttle body. Could this be causing a higher idle than normal?

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Can a PCV valve cause high idle?
      A faulty positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve may also cause an unusual high idle speed. This is similar to a vacuum leak, since the PCV valve routes crankcase gases into the intake manifold where they combine with the air fuel mixture

    You need to do a video on how to bleed the cooling system on these cars without a radiator cap. Is it the same process as one with a rad cap?

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Bleeding in the engine cooling system WITHOUT a radiator cap is automatic. Only turn on the heater to max and set the fan speed to low. This will allow the coolant to circulate through the heater core. Check the coolant level in the radiator and add more coolant if needed. Squeeze the upper and lower radiator hoses several times to help release any air bubbles. Clearly the process is not the same as a radiator cap.

    Que pasa si el punto de el termostato lo colocan para el lado de abajo?

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Qué sucede si el termostato se instala al revés?
      Si lo coloca al revés, el flujo de la bomba de agua abrirá el termostato y hará que tarde MUCHO más en calentarse. Cuando un termostato está en la orientación correcta, debe haber flujo de refrigerante, de lo contrario, el termostato estará en la zona muerta y tardará más en calentarse.

Agrega coolant hasta el tope, enciende el carro y enciende el calentador de aire. Your video is very helpful; I have 2007 corolla that have an issue with very small leak of power steering fluid. I did not see any drip or stain on my garage floor. I had the shop replace steering pump. It did not solve the problem; the other shop told me it was a clamp that cause this and they replaced it ; It's still a problem . It took 3 month to see the fluid in the reservoir lower by 1/8 inches(or 3.1mm). I wanted to use Blue Devil Stop leak but I am afraid of damaging my pump and the power steering system. I would like to hear your suggestion. Please help.

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How do you fix a power steering leak?
      To seal the leak, pick up BlueDevil Power Steering Leak Stop and add 1/3 of the bottle to the power steering reservoir and top off with the proper type of fluid. It may require a day or two of driving, but BlueDevil will stop your power steering leak quickly and permanently guaranteed! If you find a leak in your steering gear or rack and pinion, the best way to seal the leak is to use BlueDevil Power Steering Stop Leak. In most cases, these seals are non-replaceable so your only other option is to replace the whole steering rack or gear which can be very expensive.

      @@YiannisPagonis Then I need to pump out the power steering fluid first so that I can add 1/3 of Bluedevil and top off back with the fluid. Am I correct?

    • @YiannisPagonis
      @YiannisPagonis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Norman31chea My friend, what you need to do first is to remove with a syringe as much fluid as you can from the power steering reservoir. Then add 1/3 of the BlueDevil Power bottle to the reservoir and finally fill the appropriate type of fluid until to the maximum point. For 3 consecutive days you will observe the fluid level. Now do you understand what you have to do? Do you have any questions?

      My friend when you see that point there is a coolant leak. Also, when removing or replacing the thermostat, the gasket may need to change depending on its condition. When you put on a new gasket then you have to make sure it fits in properly so you don't leak.
