Hot Dang fellow Barry! You are really showing the process of becoming a Master of Chev Truck! Totally respect your hustle on getting it done! Hour a day is a power thing, but your power is off the charts!
For the brake pedal, if the distance from the pin to the pivot point is the same than that solid pedal is the one u need. The opposite facing stud doesn't matter because both studs r centered, it's just that the adjustable pedal was offset to the left to make room for the bulky adjustment mechanism. We have a 2500 with hydraboost and I'm pretty sure it looks the same as ur solid pedal does.
I remember seeing in a video that the guy had to change the pedal for hydroboost, but I can’t remember why. I’ll revisit this when I’m ready and give it a closer look
@@StationroadRatrods Yes, I have heard that it has been unseasonably warm throughout the entire north. What are ya trying to do ? Make every place as nice as Florida ?
Definitely power doors, I wish my el camino had atleast a passenger power window just so I can easily operate it. I did add power locks and a fob but converting to power windows on a 73 elco is expensive so I just live with ut
I was backed into a corner of using DBW basically. I have a bunch of parts trucks, but they were only 03-07 models. When I go turbo next year ish, I’ll revisit this also. A buddy sent me a 92mm cable throttle body to fit a TBSS intake I have, so I’ll do the big swap all at once
@danielhammond8429 I’m hoping it’ll work out for the best, I should have mostly all the parts I need. Maybe have to order an intercooler but that’s not serious
I'm not sure about the two wire connector from the column but maybe it's for the key in buzzer?
Ahh maybe so

I appreciate it 🙂 lots of work left to do but the list is getting shorter every day 🙂

I can tell by the smile on your face that you're happy about how close you are.
Did I mention that we don't have winters here ?
I’m so excited!!
We’ve had some spring weather this week, it’s weird haha.

@phillipthethird42 if I wake up and there are gators outside, I’ll be happy
@@StationroadRatrods
Well, that's it then. We just grab you in your sleep and jet ya to Florida, fed ex overnight.
@phillipthethird42 make room for Cass and the girls, they want to see the sun too 😁🤪

Nice! I love El Caminos, hope you enjoy the car 🙂
Cool more progress bro getting closer now 👍🏼👍🏼💯
The last few weeks I’ve gotten a pile of work done 😁
Since it's all custom how are you going to register it. Like are you using the papers that match the frame or the cab. Never understood how that works
I’ll be registering the cab
So will you need to change the vin on the frame or leave it
As far as I’ve seen there actually isn’t a vin on the frame
that moment you realize you did all that work for nothing. 😂 we’ve all been there
It’s soul crushing 🤣 I got over it pretty quick though
1:10 thats because its a sin to willingly use DBW 😂
Oh definitely, I’m still not sure why I made more work for less good
I'm surprised ur not wanting dbc.
Every dbw iv had I always found something about it I didn't like so go out of my way to use a dbc throttle body

@StationroadRatrods I knew u had a ton of parts but whats the odd they were all dbw 😆
Sounds like u have a perfect plan lined up for next year!

😝👌💯
All that work to plug in the gas pedal 🤪
What's Homer Simpson's radio antenna doing under the dash of that truck? 😂😂
HAHAHA I had to go look for what you were talking about, that’s hilarious!
@@StationroadRatrodsyou know that the engineer that designed that got made fun of all the time for it too.
It's all I could think about when I saw it.
@Jordy-927 oh definitely. I bet he was sick of rendering failed parts and was like FUCK IT noodle mount
@@StationroadRatrods oh God. Wouldn't that be awesome if that was the name on the drawing!?
I’d really like to know now
