I've been skating for a year now as of January 2020. Compared to all of you guys I'm so slow but honestly skating has taught me not to compare myself. Everyone learns at their own pace.

Oh my goodness this is the greatest lesson you will learn throughout life over and over again. I have constantly felt like I'm "behind" in life because college took me 6 years and then I didn't;t even finish because my mental health became too much. But I started an art business and picked up hobbies that make me happy like skating and gardening. I'm learning everyday how to notice my thoughts, notice when I'm comparing and instead be proud of my fellow humans for achieving their versions of success. I work on letting that encourage me to pursue my version of successful. It's given me such a new fire for life and connecting with others, myself, and the world around me. I hope that you can be SO PROUD of your growth, your progress! Progress is progress! Much love to ya!

What I like about your tutorials, is that you break it down so well for a newbie. I just ordered my Sure Grip Boardwalk skates today, and have watched many videos, but the more advanced skaters, tend to gloss over important learning steps. I like that you break it down like I'm t toddler learning how to walk! It is very sequencial and builds up as you present the move. Super easy to follow. I love that you do a lot of dance type moves as that is what I really want to learn to do as well as street skating.

Now after watching your video I’ve learned the proper movement. I can’t wait to drill this. Honestly even at the rink I feel I can do this (finding your own grove) the entire session in my own little (new skater) bubble. You’ve created a monster as well as a NEW FAN AND FOLLOWER. Your pivots are so smooth! That's the part I'm having trouble with. I think I'm picking up the back heel of my back leg too much. Yours looks like a little slide, you're not picking up your back heel too much. Thanks for the tutorial

Right! I sometimes learn from watching other beginners learning and their mistakes. I feel like advanced skaters go too fast sometime and forget it’s not all that easy so I try my best to make it as easy as possible to follow. I’m glad it’s working 🤗 also I got my pants from ROSS 😇✨

Yep you got it bb! There's just a slight lift of the heel and pivot when that foot is on the toe and in the front :) You can do it!

Right! I sometimes learn from watching other beginners learning and their mistakes. I feel like advanced skaters go too fast sometime and forget it’s not all that easy so I try my best to make it as easy as possible to follow. I’m glad it’s working 🤗 also I got my pants from ROSS 😇✨
