This tool is sometimes helpful if the screwdriver or pry bar trick doesn't push the caliper all the way in.

Just a quick video showing how I replaced front brake pads & rotors on a 2015 Honda Odyssey.
    Tools Needed:
Large flathead screwdrivers or small pry bars
    14mm socket and/or wrench
    19mm socket and/or wrench
    Breaker bar or impact wrench
    Torque wrench
    Brake Grease
Torque specs I found online: 37 ft. lbs for the front caliper slide pin bolts and 101 ft. lbs for the Caliper bracket bolts. (I recommend checking that in your manual to make sure that's correct.)
    Thanks for watching!

I'm 47 and just changed my front pads/rotors for the first time ever on my 2017 Ody. Thanks for the helpful instruction!

Really enjoyed your instruction. Did my first DIY rotor and brake pad replacement on my 2015 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite. Your instruction saved me $100s of dollars from taking it to a brake shop! 😊

Nice video. You heard right that screw is not needed and no need to torque it. simple holds rotor on during assembly and makes easier to put on brakes without it wobbling. But once caliber is on and then wheel, it's useless.

I had to do this job today. I really needed rotors, so I went with the local Advanced Auto CarQuest brand. I had a few ppl say I should ONLY go with the Genuine Honda brand. Anyone have thoughts on that?

A lot of Odyssey owners experience warping with the factory rotors. I did in my 2012. After market rotors can be better depending on the brand.
