    You are not the only one late to the game. I just tried this for the first time too! I paired it with the curl keeper gel for more hold though and got fabulous results! Thank you for all your videos and reviews!

      Good to know 😁 I definitely want to try it with a gel. I think it'll help give it that last little push to be amazing. Thanks for the recommendation! I actually haven't tried any of the Curl Keeper products yet. So maybe I need to get ahold of some of them. And thank you! I'm glad I could be helpful ☺️

    *New Subscriber* . Hello Lina, I've been binge watching your content and find it immensely helpful and informative. My hair type is fine, 2B wavy, low density, collar bone length. I do not color my 57 yr. old locks and do minimal diffusing. I can micro-plop and pixie diffuse on cool for shrinkage, hover on warm to 80% dry with the right products. I appreciate your "Battle of the Brands" content style and your explanation of product ingredients. I struggle with getting lift and volume on the crown, tried your claw clip method and got great results, much better than "medusa" clipping for me. At the recommendation of Get Curly with Raya, I tried the L'Oreal Boost It Volume Inject Mousse. (I've always preferred a mousse as a styler for easy refreshes). It's fantastic for me. *Question* ? Have you ever mixed up different styling products for your various curl patterns by section? I've been on the wavy train for 3 years. I grew out my bangs to gain some "real-estate". That front fringe is the most challenging for me to get definition in, any suggestions appreciated. Love your content! ~ Cindy

      Thanks for the product suggestion! I'll have to look into it. I love finding products for more volume. I like mousses too, but realized recently that I actually don't use them as often as I'd like. I plan on doing more experimenting with them here soon.
      I haven't tried mixing products for the different textures. I should give it a try though. I know some people have luck with it. As for your fringe, I haven't had one recently so the suggestions I can give may or may not be helpful. But I have a couple of thoughts for things you can try. The first would be finger coiling or finger rolling. This has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes on the wavier sections, it doesn't do much. Another thought is you could roll them and then pin them while they're drying. That will help to give them more spring. Also, you could try starting by pixie diffusing those sections before moving on to the rest.That way, they don't have as much of a chance to dry in a stretched out pattern. Hope one of those is helpful! ☺️

    You’re hair looks fabulous! I so want to try this VERB product here in the UK. Alas, it’s £36 on Amazon UK..maybe it will eventually come down in price in the UK 🤞

      Oh no! That's a bummer... it's always hard when a product is much more expensive in another country. I hope they make available in the UK for a more reasonable price soon!

    This is my new favorite product. Clumps curls with no frizz. If I want amazing style to last, i pair with gel like Ouidad Advanced climate control gel. It pairs well with every gel I've tried

    nice video thank you Lina 🙏 question: what is the difference between foam and mousse?

    • @Linas_lovelylocks
      @Linas_lovelylocks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question! There are a couple of differences from my experience. The first is the type of bottle it's in. Mousse comes from an aerosol can and foam comes from a pump bottle. Another difference is in texture. Foams are more on the watery side whereas mousses are denser and expand when they come out. Foams tend to be a lighter hold and more slippery on texture. Mousses can be anywhere between light hold to hard hold.
      The hard thing is that I've seen a lot of people day that mousses are more moisturizing than foams, but I think it really depends on the product. Some mousses don't have much in the way of moisturizing ingredients, but they also have the potential for more since the texture is thicker. I personally notice more help with clumping my curls from foams.
      A lot of companies do call their foam products a mousse instead. I think it's mainly for marketers purposes. But the main was to remember the difference is in the bottle type.
      Hope that helps!

    This foam works great with another gel! I use it the same way I use the curlsmith volume foam which gel -> microplop -> foam.
    Its interesting you find it similar to treluxe. I did not find they they're the same. Treluxe foam almost works more like a curl cream for me as when I squeeze my hair and I can actually see cream coming through. I can use 4 pumps of the treluxe and it be enough but I have to use at least 15 pumps of the foaming gel to get any hold. Although Im tempted to try them together!
    I used the treluxe foam paired with innersense I create definition and got great results!

    • @Linas_lovelylocks
      @Linas_lovelylocks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I definitely need to try this paired with a gel. I bet the results will be amazing! Thanks for your recommendations.
      Really it was the closest I could think of to compare it with since none of my other foams even really come close to the consistency. That being said, they do work pretty similarly on my hair, but I could see how they would work differently on other hair types. The Treluxe has more hold ingredients I believe, so it makes sense it would last longer. But you're right. It would be interesting to try pairing them together to see what happens.
      I need to get ahold of some Innersense products! I hear so many great things about them... Good to know those work well together for you ☺️

      @@Linas_lovelylocks treluxe mousse is still my all time fave mousse because it provides definition, moisture, and volume but definitely acts like a cream with hold for me.
      The verb foaming gel probably gives me the most "cast" if I use like 30 pumps. I really have to go heavy with the product to get good hold but it gives me the perfect beachy waves I love and I love it as a single styler as well as these days I prefer beachy voluminous waves! But then I go through it so fast when I use it as a single styler 😅. I did get mine on sale for like $12 though and definitely will repurchase. I just repurchased the shea moisture blue label one and can't wait to use it because I don't remember much about it the first time I finished a bottle to compare.
      Innersense is definitely a hit or miss for some people. I wasn't wowed but they have some good products! I'm still trying to make the products I have work but get side tracked by products I know do work well for my hair lol. I definitely recommend getting the sample sizes since they do last a really long time.

      That's fair. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the shea moisture blue label foam when you've had the chance to try out again. And I could see going through the Verb foam pretty fast.
      Thanks for the input on the Innersense products as well. I'll have to look into them and do some thinking before deciding what to try.

      @@Linas_lovelylocks little update I actually tried the verb foaming gel and treluxe mousse together. I did 4 sections one pump of treluxe mousse brushed through per section on wet hair and then air dried 10 min and scrunched in 9 pumps of the verb foaming gel. And this is probably my best washday so far this year!

    I think the results did look pretty decent. And the product seems very user friendly. However I think your hair did not look as bouncy on day two as it did with a gel.
    What are your thoughts on brush coiling?

    • @Linas_lovelylocks
      @Linas_lovelylocks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you! I'd agree. I think this would be great paired with a gel. That being said...I had beat it up a decent amount before coming back on day two, so that's part of it 😅 but I will be trying this paired with a gel soon.
      Honestly, I'm not great at it. For me personally, it takes a long time for results that are only slightly better than what I'd get otherwise. Though in some cases, like in my wavier sections, it doesn't do much of anything. I think it depends on your hair and texture and if your hair likes it or not. But I don't think theirs anything wrong with it. It just isn't my preference.

    Do you think that the Bounce Curl brush would work on 2c/3a hair?

    • @Linas_lovelylocks
      @Linas_lovelylocks  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly I would define my hair as 2c3a. Though I do have some sections that are more 2b. But the bottom of my hair would fall in the 3a in some spots.
      From the experience I've had with this brush over the last month I would say yes, but it depends on the results you want. This gives me a lot more separation of my clumps which definitely gives me more volume. But if you want the big clumps, I wouldn't recommend it. That being said... My curlier sections do tend to twist back together so I do sometimes get big chunks.
      I like this brush though. I think it works really well for my hair type and any thing curlier. Hope that helps
