The best results I have had with it is when combining it with AG recoil and AG curl fresh definer. I'd love to see you try the Cake brand "The Curl Whip Whipped Curl Mousse". I bought it along with some other Cake brand products and it absolutely blew me away. With most mousses I've used before I have to use with another gel underneath, but I can use that mousse on its own and get medium-high hold for days. It's still lightweight like any other mousse, but the hold is just insane for a mousse, and with a hard cast that I wouldn't get with other mousse. Plus, it feels really thick and creamy whereas most other mousses feel kind of watery and foamy. I dunno what they did to make their mousse so incredible, but it's become a staple in my washday routine. I haven't used it since I started playing around with the Verb Curl Foaming Gel about two weeks ago, and I'm really starting to miss the mousse. I think like you, I really need a stronger hold gel over the Verb CFG so I plan to use the Cake mousse over the foaming gel to see if they're a magic pairing.

Outside of my hair feeling kind of producty (I used some of the Cake volumizing foam and their saltless sea salt spray, so may been a bit heavy handed with those) I've had great definition, curl enhancement, and hold so far into day two. Even after wearing it in a pineapple for almost 18 hours, it's still holding up well, and my hair usually doesn't survive that long in a pineapple without stretching out and getting all droopy and sad. So, I'd say with a little tweaking this is probably going to be my go-to routine now.

    I would like to see how your wavy hair looks styled with The Doux Mousse Def Texture Foam. Mine got a serious knot in the back which I didn't have in a very very long time. Wondering if I applied in a wrong way.

    I want to buy this because it says it's fragrance free and I'm sensitive to fragrance. Does the smell linger at all after applied?

    • @Wingsofscarlet
      @Wingsofscarlet ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience, it doesn't linger too much. Every once in a while I May catch a subtle hint of the scent, which is a very light, natural grapefruit scent, but I mostly smell my other products. If you were to use completely unscented products with the CFG you might still be able to smell it after drying, but it's such a light smell that I don't know that it would be irritating.

      Another thing you can try, is either using it as a volumizer/curl enhancer with another product. Ad have you clarified/deep conditioned recently? I would try reducing the amount used as well. But if not, yes they do have a return policy!

      Hello, it is a liquid not a microplastic.

    • @whatwendylikes
      @whatwendylikes ปีที่แล้ว

      I found this for anyone interested:
      INCI Names and Microplastic Ingredients
      Polymer ingredients, for the most part, can be identified by the term “poly” within their INCI name. However, the properties of these materials as a group are indeed quite diverse. Polymer ingredients provide a wide range of important functional benefits to enable robust quality and desirable performance in cosmetics and personal care products, with functions including film formers, viscosity modifiers, binders, fixatives, dispersants, and encapsulating agents.
      🔴Due to the emerging environmental concerns about polymer ingredients and microplastics, readers should be aware that INCI names alone cannot be used to identify a potential microplastic ingredient.🔴 INCI names are based on chemical composition. While materials with the same INCI name might have similar chemistry, they could exhibit dramatically different physical characteristics. In fact, a diverse group of materials could have the same INCI name, yet different attributes and applications.
      ⚠The assumption that all polymers are microplastics is inaccurate and misleading. There are many factors to be considered when identifying a material as a microplastic. ⚠The emerging regulatory definitions for microplastics include particle size, physicochemical properties, and environmental persistence. Perhaps the single most important distinguishing feature is the fact that a microplastic material is a solid particle. This characteristic cannot be identified or implied simply by reading the ingredient’s INCI name, and drawing the inference that the term “poly” means microplastic.
      🔴There are polymer names containing the term “poly” which are completely water-soluble materials and could never exist as a microplastic solid particle. An example is the INCI name, Polyquaternium-10 which is used as an antistatic agent in myriad liquid hair care formulations, including baby shampoos. 🔴The numerous polypeptides used in liquid facial serums serve as other examples of polymeric ingredients that are not potential microplastics.
      While it is true that all plastics are polymers, it is important to remember that not all polymers are plastics. For further information about polymers and microplastics, please consult CosmeticsInfo.Org: cosmeticsinfo.org/microplastic; cosmeticsinfo.org/polymers. And for a complete listing of INCI Nomenclature Conventions, please consult: pcpcouncilstg.wpengine.com/wp- content/uploads/2018/11/INCI-Nomenclature-Conventions.pdf.
