No annealing?
@@DrewDiaz Hello Drew, Yes Annealing is required. Probably a bit more than I did! I annealed with every Shot!
@@cw2a all the way down the case?
@@DrewDiaz I think it would be OK. But no I didnt. I did anneal much farther than I ever would with a CF case. But the pressures of a shot shell are sub 15k. Most all rifle rounds are +40 and still more are +50k. In them ya never want to soften the case head.
So Id say 80% of the case should be about right. But its OK here to experiment as dangers are quite low as long as your following safe practices and watching for signs.
Remember these loads are FAR FAR from a "flat primer" sign.
What about 45/70?
Hello John!! Unfortunately, It's too big in diameter. Both thru body and its rim.
@@cw2a thanks for the response!
always wanted to do this

Very interesting stuff, CW!!
Have you seen that 22lr loading kit with machined copper pills from Cutting Edge, I think it is?
Yes I have, not much interest in that rabbit hole.. But you know how that is... SQUIRREL! 🤘🏼🙏🙏😜😜
@cw2a haha 😄
I only just saw it, looked kind of interesting, but it's damn spendy! So that isn't going to fly until the price goes down.

Or if you are lucky enough, you can use 405 Winchester which already uses a .411 diameter bullet, if you happen to find some and don’t own a 405 Rifle
Maybe, I have some loaded. Ill measure. Never considered simply cause its so rare ta find.
@@cw2a once in a while the Bertram brass company makes a run of 405 “basic” brass and since it has not been sized to any particular cartridge dimensions you might be able to use that too.
That you can't show this, says a lot about the direction this country is headed

Knowledge is power and YT works for those who do not want the masses to have knowledge, this way people will not turn against the thrall masters. Do you have any issues with large rifle primers igniting the propellant? Years ago I priced some brass made by Rocky Mountain and wow! Talk about expensive, but the shell are made individually from brass rod. 20 yeas ago I did order some 12 gauge from them not too bad price wise then. I used these for black powder loads. Don’t have any idea if Magtech makes a .410 brass case. If they do it might be a cheap alternative if you can’t obtain .303.
@@Subgunman I have not. I have used many different styles WO issue.
Nice ! Did some from 444 while back 👍
Nice 👍 those are probably the simple and easiest. I'm gonna do some more myself just because I can get them there right away.
We'll see how the rims fit in this new Rossi. With luck they'll work and I can use 444.
Great info

what about Hot Glue from a glue gun?
@@derekmcmaster6123 Morning Derik. Ooh good idea! Ill try it. Should be fine!! BRILLIANT!! 👍🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥🤘🏼👍🏼
Sounds like a "mess"! Heat makes it sticky. I would "powder" them (baby powder or Cream of Wheat) immediately after using the glue. Don't need that stuff sitting in a warm chamber!
Hehehe..I feel that I listened to a instructional about the proof of Einstein's theory that Energy and Mass are the same. peace dude. - Dave

@@horn410 Awesome! Ill check thus out!! 👍🏼🇺🇸🤘🏼🙏
@@cw2a it is necessary to burn the sleeve on fire to a gray color, except for the welt
@@horn410 Annealing is required for better/ easier fill out. Its not as bard to form out a 9.3x74r. Or a 444 Marlin. But these 303's I don't think you could do it without!
@@cw2a 9.3x74r. this is the most ideal option for redoing!!!
@horn410 IT REALLY IS!! The 444 can have too small a rim for some guns. Thats why I like the 303. As some guns only have short chamber.
Primmer ?
@@SteveandSusiesHomestead I have mixed it up. What ever I had remaining a tray. Some mag some LR.
Generally, any large rifle primer will light pistol powder. Stick powder is the "difficult one".
@@haroldhenderson2824 YES, any stick powder is going to be much to slow. Also yes on primers. I haven had issue with any style rifle primer. But remember in large size a pistol primer is shorter & could cause missfires.

Good god...this guy is so long winded and probably one of the worst demonstration of what he did, it's aggravating. Step by step is they way you explain this stuff pal. First I do this, then I do this...just a mess of no information jumbled together. I'll have to find another channel to learn from.
Sorry my friend. Utube do's net allow construction of ammunition. I am not ABLE TO DO as you ask. NO ONE HERE is. But I completely understand the frustrations.
Hope ya can find the information you desire.
@@cw2a Yeah, I totally forgot that you guys couldn't do that stuff anymore. My apologies. I was just frustrated. I forget that these policies at youtube were what inspired me to remove my videos and stop uploading. I certainly did learn that a person could make the brass 410 casings and the best brass to use. But to be honest as I thought about doing some of these reloads then thought, would these run in my auto with the brass cases? Anyway, respect your tenacity at staying with it even though youtube is making it very difficult for you to make videos. Best of luck.
