I've considered redoing it for just this reason. Since then I have learned a lot about how to properly balance and mix instruments. One day maybe I'll find a good excuse to upload revised versions of my older work.
Here comes the hate... I think POR soundtrack stomps SOTN flat. You have both Michru Yamanae AND Yuzo Koshiro at the helm and each piece is absolute perfection. POR still remains my favorite metroid vania due to the soundtrack and..."JONATHAN!" "CHAROLETTE!" along with dope level designs, maps and just a great experience.
@@BluesM18A1 Yep, Bloodlines. Which I believe is Michiru Yamanae's first Castlevania Composition. she truly made that Yamaha 2612 sing. "Iron Blue Intention" , "Calling from Heaven" and "Credits Roll" are legendary tracks.

I like the overall synths used, although the lead sound is underwhelmed by the bassline. I think it sounds decent.
