Cold Steel Tuff Lite and Tuff Lite Mini are also excellent choices. Even the full size comes in with only a 2.5 inch blade, but you can still get a solid grip on it because of the great handle design.
The Kershaw Scallion is great. This little fellow makes small tasks a cinch. The Kershaw Scallion makes a great gift. The cool thing about the Scallion is it's comfortable for a person with small to medium sized hands. The assisted action will not let you down.
Good selections! I love my Mini Sheepdog in copper. Very handy cutting tool & just cool! I love my Leek I have in OD green & blackwash too. I really like the look of the Steel Will may check it out. I'm glad to see the beautiful little Hummingbird from Rike. I have the one in green & gold & yes, most definitely is super functional, great material & different ways to carry! I'd like to collect all the colors. Perfect knife for you guys to buy your girl! She would not expect something so nice & pretty to be one of the knives you like! Can't go wrong with Damasteel!!
Mini Grip with the blade hole. Just ordered some DOAT scales for mine. Expensive upgrade but hey, I really enjoy that knife and how fidget friendly it is
On the DPX knives (HEST, HEAT, Etc.) one feature of the notch in the blade spine that is often overlooked, is the ability of that notch to catch the bail on pots when cooking on an open fire or cookstove. Picking up a hot wire bail with your bare fingers while camping is an experience that none of us needs...nice to have a knife handy that can grab the bail on a hot pot or the tipping ring on the coffee pot.
The Kershaw Misdirect is an elegant EDC carry option for under $30. It is my "office knife". Another daily carry option that offers additional functionality is the original Skeletool.
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO! I've been looking for a gentleman's knife for quite a while. I FINALLY found exactly what I've been looking for in the Boker Urban Trapper Petite made in Taiwan. (I like the cocobolo scales the best, but that knife is from Mainland China.) The G10 and carbon fiber scales are great options.
Leatherman Skeletool Kbx is also a very good mini, would have deserved a mention. I have it as a neck knife every day. I had the Mini Griptillian before, that was a great little knife.
I’ve had my eye on the Urban Trapper for some time, but a larger version, as my hands tend to prefer a fuller handle and blade. I wear xl gloves. I did just purchase the Rike Hummingbird for my wife, in green, and she loves it! It’s perfect for package opening, or in a pinch, pun intended, as a box cutter. Great edge retention and small enough to carry as a neck knife under her work shirt. We’re in the grocery business. One thing, the ball chain included is much better quality than you might think, and isn’t the typical cheap electroplated stuff you see on costume jewelry. I will replace it for braided leather and steel rings, with a proper clasp at some point, but she’s worn it around for about a month now with no issues. Thanks David, and KC!
I love ur videos, the way u explain pros and cons, materials and all the rest, i wish your advise about where should i look for good prices on folding knives, since im from Argentina so are not affordable to me brands like ganzo, Böker, and so on, basicly if it brings ball bearings i cant pay that hehe, Thank you bro!
Spydie Dragonfly in H1, yellow scales. EDC. Love it. But for truly small Spyderco’s it is rather large.... (Cricket, Ladybug in H1, hawksbill serrated edge, Bug, Ladybug and a Spyderco Spin Blue Nishijin..... I like my little spydie’s)
If they ever make the Dragonfly in Magnacut or L200N, I will buy another ASAP! Have one in ZDP-189. Handy little knife I carry EDC along with a Native Salt in L200N.
KnifeCenter, can we please get a keychain knife video now? I’m looking for something similar to the Rike but would prefer cheaper as I can see it falling off my keychain.
Thanks for this video, i live in a Country where its illegal to cary a knife with a blade over 3 inches, so im heavily considering getting a Mini griptilian, thanks alot mate
My 13-year-old son has really been enjoying your videos! He wanted me to say that you might be interested in a small, inexpensive knife he found: Smith & Wesson Frame Lock Drop Point Folding Knife. He hasn’t bought it yet, but it has a high carbon blade.
Is there any chance the Mini Grip will come back in the sheepsfoot with the thumb hole? I have the full size in that and love it but want a more office-friendly version.
@@HammerSmashedFace92 I have a Tuff Lite and Just ordered a Cinder. I'm going to try both of them out at work for a few days each. See which one I want to bring. I like to fly under the radar.
kudu light is also great with a kydex to fit on belt or a super edge neck knife with an ulty clip ( or cheaper clip is good enough for that litle weight) but also the spiderco dragonfly is my favourite little knife/ delica is also good dragonfly got a more useful bladeshape even its smaller
Surprised not to see the CRKT Pilar on this list! I have both the Pilar and the scallion. I prefer the modified sheepsfoot Pilar to the Kershaw scallion that was on this list solely because sharpening the blade design of the scallion has proved to be a pain in the butt.
Looking for knives with a 2 inch blade or less. That's all I'm able to carry at work. The only one I've found this is decent is the kershaw ember. Any other recommendations?
Hi. Thanks for the video’s. Allways enjoy them. I have a bunch of benchmade and spyderco knives! Switch them out at times depending on where or what I’m doing is all. Can you please tell me the price of the spyderco dragon 2 and where to find this beautiful knife? Thank you and have a good day. Keep up the video’s
Fox Baby Core is new but it should be on this list. I have a Mini-Sheep dog, the Kershaw and the Baby Core. I like the baby core better than the others hands down.
why is it that you never tell the length of the blades on the knives as if it matters none ? at so many states most your knives are illegal to be sure.
My #1 edc zt 0450, good steel and great size. Looking for something else similar premium and budget. Flipper with a void or spydie flickable too, compression lock or button lock. Infact my smock is great but a lightweight version would be awesome.
My 0450CF is one of my favorite knives. I've got smaller hands so it's perfect for me. I love the idea of the smock but would prefer a smaller version personally. My mini Grip is one of my other favs. The biblio by giantmouse looks pretty amazing to fit your bill.
an 'edc' knife like for self defense? I wonder how effective it would be in practice and whether it's legal and needing a license and why go for a knife rather than baton, taser, etc?
Very well done! I've loved my petite urban trapper for the past several months. It comes with a torx tool which is needed if you accidentally drop it in a certain way (like a cringe inducing cell phone drop). It loosened just enough for the liner lock to slip. Would effect my review of the knife but it's just too easy to correct.
I am surprised the Spyderco Ambitious was not mentioned over the Dragonfly! You get a better grip and a much better blade. I own a Modus. It is a great EDC. I am surprised once again no mention of the Cut Jack by Steel Will. That Boker is a great knife. I wonder what happened to the CRKT models?
I ordered a balisong trainer and i found a better one on your website for only a little more, am i able to cancel my order, get a refund, and buy a new one?
No argument from me that the Griptilian reveals all the traits of a top quality knife. The price for Canadians living north of the border due to currency exchange combined with shipping charges
Hey KC team!! What is going on with your lefty section? It is hurtin for certain. I speak for all the lefties out there, please update it and get some stuff for us southpaws, we’ll buy them I promise.
Boker to me are budget knives but not budget prices, why use titanium scales and average blade steel? Kershaw great designs but Why only do limited runs in good steel?
European knife laws taught me to love wee knives
I edc the scallion every day, hasn’t let me down yet!
Every pick on this episode was fantastic. great choices. enjoyed it thoroughly. i've got a long shopping list from this episode.

That was a really well done video. Excellent selection of pocket knives, and your commentary on the strengths of each was fantastic. Super job! Thanks
I carry the Spyderco manbug and its perfect for urban office setting.
Well done. DPX is a beast and the hummingbird is a great first knife for your kid. I picked up the pink one for my daughter.
For me it's the Dragonfly it Awesome
I wish I could fing a deep carry clip for it. The knife itself is real great.
Dragonfly knives

The Lil native compression lock, is the king of this category. No doubt
Mini Grip with the blade hole. Just ordered some DOAT scales for mine. Expensive upgrade but hey, I really enjoy that knife and how fidget friendly it is
Doesn’t have a blade hole. Spider.

I just wish they would set their standard steel to atleast D2 or even n690 or something like that would be nice.

The Scallion has always reminded me of a shark’s head, especially the blue one you got there.
I keep a Spyderco Bug on a key ring
Spyderco Mc Bee is a fantastic small knife
That sheepdog looks great
Some great stuff there, but if you want small, get a Kershaw Cinder.
Great design
Erik Ramaekers Yes! I wish they’d make a larger version!
Love that black/red Modus Mini but it's been discontinued.
Those look pretty big for being Minis Thought Id see a Mini Tuff Lite
The size of most of these would get a lot of people in trouble at work. Mini Tuff Lite or Kershaw Cinder is better in a office environment.
