Someone also replaced the alternator recently...sometimes you really have to take things apart to get some leverage to do that sort of mechanic work, I wonder if the mechanic ever found something too. Though it is so close to the engine, it is unlikely, but a thought.
Gonna be honest, these past few Project 863 videos, where it’s just some lighthearted fun, with simultaneous investigations and suspense have been so entertaining to watch :)
It’s nice getting the calm tones in between the heavy serious stuff. It gives a moment for everyone to digest and refresh from all the information given. Plus, the vlog is SUCH a nice feeling to experience again. 😊 It kind of shows that they three as well want to return to a calmer period and relationship in their lives, they don’t want to get too serious that they begin to hurt each other. 🥺 Keep doing what your doing 863!
Gotta say, I do like the new story format. Feels like it has more quality content when you relate the story to things you normally do on your channels, such as product reviews, and then leave it with a discovery.
Here is my idea: Those spots marked on the car (if different) are ones that Wes planted or Deb and Wes planted together And the ones on the machine (forgot it’s name) are ones that Deb planted. As she has said she continued to place them without Wes so, it kind of makes sense for there to be more places on the machine then the car hood thingy. That is just my idea. Now I read this back it seems really stupid idea but ideas are always good to share. Keep up the great work by the way!!!
Not a big fan with how season 2 is going so far. The show seemed to have lost what made it special in the first place. I’m still along for the ride and enjoy watching you all do your thing but it feels disconnected from what the first season was. The Goodwill episode is probably honestly the closest in terms of feeling like the first season and I hope they can get back to a more grounded feel to the show. It doesn’t need to be intense all the time but making it more dope or nope like content before the more intense stuff just feels like a bad way of doing it. I know in a behind the scenes episode Matt talked about needing to get the show back to feeling more grounded and more like the first season and I hope we see that come to fruition sooner rather than later. Much love to the team
Yeah. I like that they’re trying to make it more like season 0/1 but I think this was too much towards dope or nope. Hopefully they’ll find a nice balance soon
Guys theyre just trying to make everything a little light hearted while still trying to do work... Theyre doing a challenge while searching through the car
It's like a more unnerving version of Dope or Nope. But aside from the disturbing stuff, I quite enjoyed watching it. Very intrigued to see where the next episode goes in this messed up mystery.
From the thumbnail and first part of the title, I thought this was Dope or Nope. Would have been a great opportunity for Tanner to show up too ^^ Edit: Oh, he's there in the background
Some people (like myself) missed when it was a mixture of joking around and it being serious. Since that was the videos from the beginning. It was immersive to me. And I'm happy to see that he's going back to it. P.S. Watch Behind 863 if you don't understand WHY they're doing it.
Based on the description it sounds like woods just doesn’t think he needs anything fancy to search through the car and its not actually a budget challenge

They should ask deb to see if they have info as to how the antidote looks under a microscope and look for theirselves to see if the blue bottle is the antidote.
I'm not really sure that I like this kind of content, because it comes off as the typical trend-like behavior. Of course, this is a personal opinion and I'm just stating what I feel is that I've watched this series, and felt very iffy in the beginning. But then I started to like it, once the production became serious. This is why I like the key series, it felt like a free tv show to watch. But going back to the vlog style was very quick, and kind of throws off any sort of excitement you had. Because the constant uncertainty is what provides a drive for curiosity. I like this more than the hospital video. But I'm not for the weird switch... It just... doesn't feel realistic. I understand that the point of this was to allow everybody to catch up, viewers and the production team before they switch to a super intense ending. But... I feel like the casualness should've been brought slowly back in, and not as drastic. Otherwise, it wouldn't have felt like we went through a roller coaster, and then getting whip-lash from everything being weirdly peaceful again. -- Edit: I wanted to add another perspective to this. For those of us that are left confused about this sudden change in content. It's because we're only able to view a max of one video per week, with the chance of a bonus video on Saturdays. Each of these videos represents a day to us, it may be a long length of time. But to us as viewers, it's like we're living the experience. So for the content to randomly change to being very innocent again. It's almost like we the viewer wasn't allowed to register what had happened. Because it went from Matthias being injured in some form, to most likely the view is Matthias is now ill, and he wants to not worry about anything because of "his life possibly draining". The team may have had time to rest, but we haven't because we've been left to ponder what is going to happen. Therefore introducing back vlog-like videos, it's like "Oh... I was really curious about what happened" to... "Oh... that's interesting but... is this real..?" feeling that was experienced in the very beginning of the series. It takes away from the magic I enjoy this series, but I personally prefer not to have this drastic change in content.
That's what I'm thinking, I don't feel as inclined to watch some videos (starting from "I'm in hospital" up until this one) I just don't feel that same type of energy when they release something like this, I don't get that thrill or anxiousness to find out what's around the corner if that makes sense. I do feel like they are coming up to a big ending though, and I'm excited about it, and I do hope they don't take another 3-4 month break. If they do need to, Its ok.
I agree, ever since the hospital episode I’ve began to slowly lose interest as it isn’t as intense anymore. I know they need breaks but it could’ve been a better transition than just “Hey we’re gonna make this like a vloggy type clickbaity kind of series now but safe the big stuff till the end so you’re basically bored the whole time!”. It’s difficult to retain interest at this point.
I know this is your opinion but these types of episodes makes it more realistic. Because having something exiting for the whole video makes it less realistic because that is not how it would be in real life. These types of videos is what would happen in real life. Example: I sometimes act serious but a lot of the time I act goofy because that is how I am. All I am saying is something exiting the whole time makes it less realistic.
@@dvst420 Yeah. When I saw today's thumbnail I felt very let down and disappointed. Because I was hoping that the hospital video would've been a one-time thing to allow a shift in what their next section of the story would be, and allow Matthias to get to toy with his idea of snack reviews that he would repeatedly express through Dope Or Nope. It was understandable for that video to be mostly filler, with a slight bit of excitement. But once today's video appeared, I was not enthused to watch. I'm glad that it still went in a bit of a detective route, but there's absolutely no reason to stage the video in a way of a trend. It is incredibly boring, and lacks interest to me. Which is really unfortunate, because as I expressed we're only given a limited amount of videos per week, so for this style of content to start taking over. It feels like the wait was pointless...
@@speakergames1891 They can, and I wouldn't disagree with that. But this form of content felt pushed out too quickly is all I'm expressing. At least within my eyes. It doesn't feel like they took this route of content in a proper way. Of course, there's the fact that it's hard to demonstrate a break in content while still trying to please an entire audience. Because this is a false reality afterall. It just creates this weird divide between feeling interest because oh there is something there. But there's also so much content that is just not what is worth watching, because some of us prefer the more action-packed content that this whole season has pretty much created to be. I don't disagree or see anybody's other perspective as wrong. This is just a form of criticism from one side of the coin that I thought would be okay to give. In no means am I saying to change their content for my only desire, because they do as they please. I'm just providing my review
People talking about the seriousness change but honestly I really liked the original vibes of Season 0 and 1, which is what got me hooked originally, and the tension that was constant for about a dozen videos a few months ago… the tension made sense in the context, but it started to feel like different people the longer it went on. So I’m glad to see them still trying to solve everything, be serious when it’s necessary, but still have fun. It’s a very nice blend that made me entrenched in the series to begin with.
To all the people behind Project 863, keep up the great work. I am always on the edge of my seat waiting for a new episode. Also Mat get that antidote!?!?!
I love how you doubt Woods' clear Scotch tape, especially when I was given the same product when I dusted for prints in an educational lab and got pretty good quality print results 👌
I feel like that's intentional. So many people are talking about how the lightheartedness is "stale" but honestly I think it's a build up. A way to throw people off.
What’s going on with this channel? I’ve watch Matt since I was like 9 (I’m 13) but he changed his entire company to start doing what he wanted to do which is stories and I love that but it’s weird that they go back to doing these lighthearted videos after they just saw a murder, I guess I don’t really care though I’ve watch Matt for years I’m not gonna stop. I still love the content it’s just kind of weird to me. Keep doing what you’re doing team
I believe they just missed making those kind of vids and/or needed something chill, to get away from their rutines... Producing all this + that quality acting AND keep doing this for a long period if time.. everyone needs variations in their daily life
@@astricelineberge5561 It was mostly so that we can be immersed into the story again. Most of us older crowd (myself who has been watching him for 5 to 6 years straight) watched him grow as a person. Not to mention, we liked seeing that it was sometimes light hearted and such.
I know this isn't a filler video but when they just did challenges in the last video and only some of it was story driven content or when they were at the hospital and it was just a snack video, again with only some content, I started to get a little bored. I understand not all episodes can be as intense as others but if I wanted to see that style of videos I'd watch the behind the scenes channel or a Dope or Nope video. That kind of content is not what I watch this channel for. I understand if it's relevant to the story somehow and I'll still watch the videos nonetheless but it definitely isn't as interesting or intense as previous videos.
I get what your saying, but they have said they want to bring in realism again. I personally like this style of video because it brings in a little bit of believability to the story like season 1, while still moving the story forward
@@kabevins2 I know what you mean and I understand how a lot of people may personally prefer that. I don't particularly prefer it because it doesn't add any extra realism for me. I don't know how often people tend to have cheap versus expensive contests in a regular day. The story isn't real, I know that, I watch it for the storyline, not because it's ultra realistic. I would've much rather just watch them try out the effectiveness of their new forensic equipment rather than them competing from different price points. That element didn't add anything, it didn't drive the story, it didn't assist in their investigation, it didn't add any extra entertainment value. I don't prefer this anymore than what they were doing before.

@@speakergames1891 @Speaker Games Calm down. What? You think I'm going to start a petition demanding he does it differently? No, obviously not. We're just voicing our opinions as long time viewers of the channel, something we have every right to do. Constructive criticism or an opinion on a video is not hate towards the creator. I really like the series but its taking a turn that isnt what im looking forward to watching
Yes if you like doing vlog like bids do them on a channel. I come here to watch about 863.
@@andrewk8679 Bruh i just expressed my opinion
I appreciate and enjoy these change of pace episodes, it's fun to just have content in this world and not always needing it to be fast paced action
Matt I personally much liked the mystery and intense type of videos as these kind of comparison videos are available all throughout TH-cam but you had very unique approach of content on TH-cam please don't disturb the mind set of the people towards this channel and content we loved...just a humble request and suggestion ❤️❤️😘😘
He's not disturbing it. If you watch Behind 863, he explains so much better why he's changing it up slightly.
This light hearted show became a thriller better than any one I’ve seen so far. 🔥
Love the new and old type videos no matter the content you guys always seem to make me smile.
Someone also replaced the alternator recently...sometimes you really have to take things apart to get some leverage to do that sort of mechanic work, I wonder if the mechanic ever found something too. Though it is so close to the engine, it is unlikely, but a thought.
When Matt said “Open your mouth” I had flashbacks to “That’s not the first time you’ve said that to me” lol
I love that you guys are turning a murder case into a contest between cheap and expensive
this feels.... weird, like something is going on, like theyre making happy videos and being forced to...
I'm so glad you guys are having more fun, it feels more like we are solving it with you AND hanging out with you. Love this
Gonna be honest, these past few Project 863 videos, where it’s just some lighthearted fun, with simultaneous investigations and suspense have been so entertaining to watch :)
It’s nice getting the calm tones in between the heavy serious stuff. It gives a moment for everyone to digest and refresh from all the information given.
Plus, the vlog is SUCH a nice feeling to experience again. 😊
It kind of shows that they three as well want to return to a calmer period and relationship in their lives, they don’t want to get too serious that they begin to hurt each other. 🥺
Keep doing what your doing 863!
the fiber looks like PES monofil 50f1, it's used for wound closure and is part of tissue engineering
Gotta say, I do like the new story format. Feels like it has more quality content when you relate the story to things you normally do on your channels, such as product reviews, and then leave it with a discovery.
Love this series, gonna cry when it ends
Good thing we literally have years left!
@@livvhas3447 3 to be précised!
😔
I love how they have taken a turn from the seriousness to fun games whilst still investigating, it makes me feel less tense
Matt calling Tanner sweetie, will forever be my favorite thing.
Here is my idea:
Those spots marked on the car (if different) are ones that Wes planted or Deb and Wes planted together
And the ones on the machine (forgot it’s name) are ones that Deb planted.
I can feel them trying atleast, I'm pretty sure they're slowly making it back to the season one.
I love how Matt turned this into like an unboxing show or kinda like dope or nope
Would have been a great opportunity for Tanner to show up too ^^
Edit: Oh, he's there in the background
I love this series. You and you company have helped me through so many rough time. Thank you
I feel like all of a sudden the seriousness of the videos got turned off and now they are constantly laughing and joking around.
Yes I don't like it
@@dontsub7737
Then you didn't like it from the start.
Yeah I don’t like it much either, it’s not as serious and show like
I literally just started watching this story last video but I'M ABSOLUTLY HOOKED!!!! I love the drama, comedy, and intrigue this story brings to my life. well done gang well done :)
Was not expecting this reminds me of old times
If forensics had actually gone through that car, that car would be CLEAN! they would have vacuumed up everything and tore that car apart.
I look forward to 1:00 pm pst/4:00 pm my time, everyday now😅❤️ y’all have helped me through really tough times, thank you, love you ❤️
For me I have to wait till 3:00 pm my time for these
this type of episode plays into the immersion for me! Good job!
Did anybody notice when he started recording on the digital microscope it said date was 2020/08/01. Judging by the format tho (YYYY/MM/DD), maybe that wasn't even a date and more like the magnifications or something, you guys can correct me.
nah bruv that’s the date i have the microscope myself
--
Edit: I wanted to add another perspective to this. It takes away from the magic
I enjoy this series, but I personally prefer not to have this drastic change in content.
Something about them do old style videos makes me feel like they are trying not to look for the serum
Yea for real
It's really like they forgot the reason they were doing this
To all the people behind Project 863, keep up the great work. I am always on the edge of my seat waiting for a new episode. Also Mat get that antidote!?!?!
I feel like they turned everything into a game.
Ye its kinda wac but at the same time there still is story
Agreed it's strange that we went from "oh we found a murder on tape" to goofy vlogs. I guess they want some gentler tones and stuff and that's okay.
I guess youtube gave them a warning on the topic of “murder”. And told them to lighten up the videos…
They are trying to have fun with this stuff then get serious latee
I love how you doubt Woods' clear Scotch tape, especially when I was given the same product when I dusted for prints in an educational lab and got pretty good quality print results 👌
is there going to be a episode today
I love these sort of vlogs and challenges relevant to the story
I love the additional lightheartedness added in these latest episodes. It feels so good to laugh after all the tension.
I hope these go back to being more intense because idk why but I prefer that
Most of us prefer it this way
This jollyness is unnerving.
I feel like that's intentional. So many people are talking about how the lightheartedness is "stale" but honestly I think it's a build up. A way to throw people off.
3:35-3:43
Sam must be fearless to do that! 😂😂
Can't wait to see what the map will uncover 😍 maybe old locations or syrum.
Has anyone noticed that they changed the names for the last two vids from the fun discord stuf to the more hardcore we found evidence in the car
Matthias: today on Team Edge 863 the challenge is to stay alive and the loser will possibly die...of laughter.
I recently purchased a used red mercury mountaineer and the urge to just tear open the seats to find any "evidence" is so hard to resist😂
I agree with you I started when I was 10 and some how watched every thing on this Channel in three years.
I believe they just missed making those kind of vids and/or needed something chill, to get away from their rutines... Producing all this + that quality acting AND keep doing this for a long period if time.. everyone needs variations in their daily life
@@astricelineberge5561
It was mostly so that we can be immersed into the story again. Most of us older crowd (myself who has been watching him for 5 to 6 years straight) watched him grow as a person. Not to mention, we liked seeing that it was sometimes light hearted and such.
@@QuietChaos1996 Ye, I get that.. I started watchin' just 1 or 2 years ago, but I've watched most of the old school vids 2
Been here for like 6-7 years
This would have been a great Dope or Nope and Project 863 crossover.
I agree with you 100%
I get what your saying, but they have said they want to bring in realism again.
@@eloracampbell2087 I know this is your opinion but if Matt wants to do these types of videos then let him do it and you don’t have to be over dramatic.
@@speakergames1891 @Speaker Games Calm down. What? You think I'm going to start a petition demanding he does it differently? No, obviously not. I'm just quietly having a discussion here with some other viewers about our opinions on the current video style. Matthias is likely never going to see this and it wouldn't matter anyway because we're not sitting here hating his content and demanding he change it. We're just voicing our opinions as long time viewers of the channel, something we have every right to do. Constructive criticism or an opinion on a video is not hate towards the creator. It's just a personal opinion.
From a show making perspective they must have taken HOURS to create that
Me: thats synthetic fiber

i have a theory, Matt's still in the hospital. and hes in a coma. you can sometimes hear the heart beep things from in the videos. What if hes already dead
