    I had mine done about 2 months ago. UK spec. Engine still in the car took my mechanic about 4 hours. Common leak from the rear (near power steering pump) area of the timing gasket. Most believe it is the tensioner but isn't. Good description of parts and great video. Just be careful not to disturb the timing.

    What parts would you recommend to exchange when you are going to do the chain cover gasket change, I have a corolla t-sport with the 2zz-ge and need to do that because it's leaking oil. I'm trying my best to source all the gaskets in your list, here in Sweden these engines are unicorns so its quite a pain. I'm going to order a new water pump, gaskets for chain cover and valve cover and lift bolts, anything else that would be good to exchange while i have the chain cover removed? Thanks.

    Hi, I have to fix a timing cover leak on my Celica vvtli. Your part numbers are a great help but I just want to ask you about the crank seal number. On the video the number is 90080-31049 but in you list you have the crank seal down as 90311-38059, which one is correct.

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either or, I believe the one in the description has been replaced with the part number on the video. But if you were to input the one in the description it will tell you it’s been replaced by the one in the video

      @@2zzlow thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. Would you recommend replacing the water pump or oil pump as I'm at it, the car is 2000 but has only 96000 miles on it.

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only replace the water pump if it’s not the correct plastic blade one. It’s meant to spin faster than the metal blade one. Also spin it and make sure the bearings aren’t seized or making noises. You don’t have to replace the oil pump unless you fear of misshifting. A oil pump that’s meant to rev over 10k will not destroy itself if you misshift. Hopefully this helps.
