I think I met him back in 1974 or 1975 at Ft Polk, La. I recall a young soldier who had performed for soldiers and officers. The General took him to the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. I have been trying to determine if I met young George. I am 72 next month. So we are the same age.

The last movie I watched while I sat in my mom's room before she passed was Pure Country. The song 'I Cross My Heart" will always hold a special place in my heart and the last memory of my mom. ❤
One of the best!!! The movie was really sweet. What I found interesting when that movie came out was the fact that George told the director that he would not kiss the leading lady. He loves his wife so much that he refused to kiss another woman. That made me like him even more. So if you watch the movie you will see that he never kissed the leading lady, he did hug her though.

Also, a very sweet factoid about that movie is that George refused to do any love scenes or kissing in the movie, even though at it's core the movie is a "love story". George felt that by doing anything physical, it would be disrespectful to his real-life wife. That's class right there! 🥰

Definitely a movie worth watching. This entire video was clips from the movie Pure Country starring George. George is such a nice guy, when he found out his character had a love interest in the movie, he told them hugs only, no kissing as he thought it would make his wife uncomfortable.

Hey Y’all, Coming from the home of George Strait, me and wife (Ernie and Tammy will be married 44 years August 10th. And Yes we seen him every time he plays here. Our song is “A Fire I Can’t Put out” We were married 20 years without kids and now have 2 boys 24 and 22. Oldest finishing his masters in Mathmatics and the younger one will graduate with his bachelor’s in Finance. We are truly Blessed 😊

I met my mother in law in 1983 she was a beaution she set her daughter and I up on a blind date in 1996. My wife ( Amalia ) and I used this song for our wedding as well in 1998 .. on mother's day this year her mom died and her father is battling pancreas and liver cancer as we speak .. when I just played this all the years and memories with her and her parents flowed out intensely !!! I love this song and it will always hold the most special place in my heart .. great reaction love the channel guys
