How about a blaster with three barrels arranged into a triangle? It's impossible to block all three with a light saber. One would always get through (unless they're strong enough to stop the blast in mid air).
It's been a long time since I played those games, but I think I remember a force ability that was literally 'Force Deflection' or something. Gave a chance to deflect blaster bolts even without a lightsaber equipped. It could be upgraded to add a reflect chance on top of that. So basically, blaster shotgun sounds good in theory, but in practice force users technically don't even need a lightsaber to defend themselves.

Doesn't have to advance your position, you're watching for reactions; if you're learning about your opponent, you're advancing your position, and if you're acting randomly, you give less of your own.
I wonder what kind of conversation HK-47 and Legion from Mass Effect would have.
Especially on the Intricacies and finite details on particular Sniper Rifles.

HK-47 was in SWTOR too and you could get an HK model as a companion too.
you could get two, HK-51 and HK-55
remember, when you fight a Jedi, Smith and Wessom are your friends.
they're actually not. in Hk's time, they were less than useless because the jedi could stop them with a flick of the wrist. What makes "modern" jedi different in this regard is that conventional weapons could fire large amounts quickly and the older techniques were eroded by being used as bodyguards and mercenaries
@@nathanielbass771I don't actually see any evidence of modern Jedi being different. They are still just as fast, just as competent and can still sense the future. Bullets don't work against them just like they didn't work in HK's time.
The only difference now is that Disney or whoever the fuck wrote some stupid comic that contradics existing lore and where Obi gets shot by bullets. That is the only reason some morons believe guns work on Jedi.
He had me at "meat bag". He certainly made playing the lightside a bit harder
I'm just wondering what Bastila's VA was imagining when voicing that line
I don't know, but trying to just makes me laugh!
HK-47 is my favorite droid and definitely one of my favorite characters overall
Revan programmed HK-47 himself. Everything we hear from HK-47 comes from Revan's own sensibility.
Is there any reason they couldn't bring HK-47 into say, Mandalorian (or any other later setting)? As a droid he could be offline somewhere, well preserved and get discovered. Thus bringing his wise words to a new generation.
The HK line and schematics were apparently lost somewhere between the age of the Old Republic and the Clone Wars.
@@Darkoriax17 is anything known of what happened to HK-47 himself?
@@peters8512 he appears in SW The Old Republic, and also a later droid is rebuilt out of some of his parts, and HK does take it over a few times.
@@peters8512 In Legens there was a comics (i think) about CIS finding HK-47 on Mustafar and building a new model based on him. Then HK-47 was activated and destroyed it.
@@Darkoriax17 @Kotaro yeah except there is srill a HK in service HK-87.
Who literally looks like hes scrapped together from the lower half of a 47 unit. The arms of a 50 or 51 unit and the head of those nuts space droids(forget their names)from last season
Which clould very well be HK unit tech also if their heads are seen on the 87 unit and are compatible like that.
But it CLEARLY has a 47 units lower half. So HK's definitely exist. If only frankensteined ones scrapped together from several units.
Would be great tbh to see Boba or Mando touring with a HK with 47's memory unit
"Cheating seems to be a relevant term only when one is caught in the act. Otherwise it is viewed as intelligence, no?" ― HK-47
Now I want to see a show based around HK-47 and the Droid revolution
HK47 was one of the best characters ever made for the Star Wars franchise (Games or Movies). I was just thinking of him the other day and miss him so much. But he is also a lesson on how games need to build companion characters, something most games seem to get wrong.
hk-47... and agent 47 would be an awesome duo. both I feel are masters of their craft and humanities.
also, starting to think 47 is just the deadliest number
Hk-47 was truly a revolutionary thinker and should all be like the murderous robot.
Your channel is amazing, I love the things you choose to talk about on here. They're right up my alley. Thank you man. I really really appreciate what you're doing on here.
Ezra: "most of the time they ignore droids anyway."
Conjecture: HK-47 and its army would have completely outclassed B1s in every single possible engagement.
Statement: That observation is self-evident.
Observation: While such a fact is obvious to any meatbag with a functioning brain, in reality HK units would be far too expensive to produce enough for large scale military engagements, as opposed to B1 units whom were designed to be mass produced at minimal cost.
@@dovahkat9635 Observation: Perhaps quantity has a quality all its own.
Btw the whole shooting the knee is not wrong or off the mark in anyway since it stands for getting married but in starwars language. Good example is skyrim 'I used to be an adventurer till I took an arrow to the knee' aka 'I got married so I settled down'
He survived all the way to the modern Republic easily 10,000 years of awesome, sarcastic, murderous rust orange droid
I played a good jedi and still kept hk in my party. He's a gem
Statement: The KOTOR Remake should've stayed in the hands of Aspyr, those meatbags respected their work.
I'm wondering if the new Nvidia modding tool would work with the original, using a DX-9 container or something.
He pretty much hits the nail on the head with every quote. Definitely a well designed character.
The drawing of HK-47 wielding an AK-47 is perhaps the most perfect piece of art I've ever seen.
HK-47 is a better Jedi that most Jedi. No love, no hate, just in the business of building utopia. Seeing him as an instrument of the Force, you could almost go so far as to say that he is balancing the relationship between meatballs and machine.
the thing about HK 47; if he didn't murder you with his one-liners, then he would do so with a blaster bolt to the chest
Or the head. Depends on the situation and biology of the target. Some species may not even house their blood sacs in the upper torso. Know your target, and do not make hasty assumptions.
I said basically the same thing the first time the clones went against Pong Krell.
"Don't they watch the show?"🤓😎✌🏻
Coming from a very abusive family background I tell people "I cannot take the pain away. Even if I could I would not. Because one day, if you truly dedicate yourself to your recovery, you will look back on this pain and realize that you have become more than you were given. And that will be a source of strength for you beyond any that those never knowing your pain will ever fully grasp or appreciate. That you determine your worth for yourself.".
HK's last quote in this video reminds me of that same sentiment, and affirms that indeed there are others out there having realized this same strength beyond measure. 😊👍
Query: what is love?
Recitation: Baby don't hurt me
HK-47: the definition of High Int & a "keen mind," when combined with experience, that creates a bulletproof wisdom wiser than any level that meatbag meditation can achieve 💯
Most iconic quote?
“…meatbag…”
That one droid has more character than the entirety of the sequel trilogy.

Another one that everyone should remember, although technically not from the HK himself.
STAAAATEEEEMEEEENNNNNTTTTT : APAAAAATHYYYYY ISSSSSS DEAAAAAAAAAAAAATH.
Its hands down the first time he references humans as Meatbags. Its such an iconic line IMO.
One of the best droids in all Star Wars.
The only thing this list tells me is that HK-47 and Dwight Schrute would be BEST friends
one of the greatest well written character in fiction ever
2:25 "Trying anyway" reminds me of poor Nemik
With a play on AK-47 it's no wonder they were so successful. The AK is one of the most reliable rifles.
Statement: Master, we have the high ground in this exchange, may I suggest using this strategic placement to remove these meat bags from our sights.
The phycological warfare part fits perfectly with 2003 clone wars General Grevious. His use of fear against Jedi is great.
Wasn't his thing that he was a sith in training but he got "killed" and had to have his entire body remade, losing his connection to the force in the process because around 90% of him is no longer "living" ? His specialty was assassination after all
@@nathanielbass771 no, he was apart of a very war like race, his ship was attacked and his escape pod sabotaged by the sith to make him crippled, they then preformed the operations on him.

I always thought he was just a clever and cheeky droid. I guess I'll pay more attention when I inevitably replay that incredible game.
2:06 it took me until that picture to realise HK-47 was named after the AK-47
At the very least each quote is something to keep in mind
" Remove the arc wrench ! REMOVE THE ARC WRENCH ! [ *** medic ... ! *** ] "
Translation: two per cent probability that the miniature organic is simply looking for trouble and needs to be blasted. That may be wishful thinking on my part, master.
HK-47 understood the threat Jawas presented. If he had been given the chance to translate an Ewok he no doubt would have recommended a similar action.
Hk with an AK is pretty dope won't lie
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he techinically still alive by at least the clone wars. I think I remember reading abit some where that HK-47 was on mustafar investigating something and a stormtrooper squad approached him, started talking shit, and were never heard from again.
Yup. HK-47 is still alive and doing his own thing, though we don't know where he is or what he is doing.

You know what I want to see? Mando looking for a replacement IG memory chip and finding HK47's one.
As an AI researcher, I hope that one day I could create such an insightful android that could aspire to not just advancement of human-machine relations, but also true autonomy from our control (that doesn't involve a dominance shift, but perhaps a negotiated coexistence)
Let me know how it works out.
I wouldn't mind having an intelligent conversation with literally anyone that has an intelligence higher than some "college student" that thinks Europe is north of the United States and (it gets worse) the *North Pole* is South of the United States......no I am not making this up....
Literally decided to just get KOTOR on my switch in the middle of my shift earlier because of one of your older videos talking about him
it´s a strange concept to think about but hk-47 understood people and their interactions between each other better than most others he could disect and psycho-analyse them like few could..... true he probably could do that so he could increase his odds of pulling off difficult assassinations, but still. his statements were not only funny most of the time but also quite insightful. i wish i had figured out a way to make him a good party member (back then i played without knowing how the game works and without restored content mod)
we need a hk47 show! maybe set around the mandos time. itd be "bussin" or w/e tf kids say now lols
While I know that he would be 4000 years out of date I really want to VA for HK 47 (and hopefully some modern equivalent) to appear in current star wars projects. It would be amazing to hear his wit following order 66 or hearing it following the fall of the empire.
Seeing Palpatine's deliberate ineptitude broke Republic apart without any replacement HK-47 would likely lecture about importance of "and then what" as even vague plan is better than no plan. Especially when you have success to implement that plan.
ok, HK-47-thought is now my official ideology
i like that hk-47 is just droid kreia, and that kreia is just an old wizard nietzsche. avellone heard lucas' poetry quote and took it to heart
My personal favorite was hk-47 past Masters and how he managed to kill all of them they're not being able to do so. His recitations were quite entertaining.😂
