The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Eau Claire County in west central Wisconsin...
* Until 500 PM CDT.
* At 422 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Augusta, or 19 miles southeast of Eau Claire,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

The eas alert at 1:47 is one of the rarest eas systems out in the usa
This EAS is from Charter Communications (aka Spectrum) and all I've seen from this is in the Wisconsin state. This woke me up with 2 tests in a row a few nights ago. Hated it.
@@scottosteoporosis6119 I live in Wisconsin and have spectrum and the odd thing about it is that it doesn’t show Amber Alerts. Only if you are watching tv channels that are also on antenna tv.
@@bleron_26 They once broadcasted them as Child Abduction Emergencies but I think the Wisconsin DOJ discontinued using the EAS and instead just uses the wireless emergency alerts on phones for amber alerts.

It looks sunny, how was this a Tornado Warning unless it was like the El Reno tornado where it got sunny for TWISTEX and got dark again but was it near you?
This tornado warning was for the eastern part of our county. I live in the south central part of our county so the storm was just to the northwest of us. Also it was the middle of the day so it is quite bright outside but it is darker.
I think there's an error with that EAS screen. There is meant to be a blue square with a red outline behind the text, not just black.
There’s no error. That’s just how my provider and the NWS twin cities sends out its alerts. It’s different for every region and can sometimes vary by cable provider.

Why is the eas black but not the text?
If the text was black, then you wouldn’t be able to see it. This is just how Spectrum transmits their alerts.

Wisconsin. This is one of the rare events that we get a tornado warning. Most of the time it’s just watches or Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
