    Any recommendations on thruster fins to upgrade to? The plastic fins don’t have enough hold for me

    Does the textured surface underneath slow you down?

    Which would be a better pick the KiKi Evolution fish surfboard 7’6 or this board?

    Looks cool, And almost sold out already at least the 6'6 versions that is . I would get one if I was not living in South America where they do not ship...
    What material exactly is it made of? Hard to tell in the video and pictures.. Is it semi soft or hard?

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s semi-soft with an EPS core. It’s lightweight! Where in South America are you from?

      It Works. No wax needed. It’s got a great grip!

    What size would you recommend for 150lb beginner/ early intermediate in small SC beachbreak waves.

      8’x22”x 3” custom mini longboard shape …not sure of litres ….60ish??

      @@johanmaritz9849 if your pop up is good and you have no issues catching waves then you should be good with the 6’6” Beastie 2.0. Just start with small waves to get used to it first. It’s not gonna paddle like an 8’0”.. you would have to see deeper in the lineup almost as a short boarder.

    Do you think that this would be a good minisimons alternative for a bigger guy? I'm 6'3" and 210lbs. I always struggle on boards less than 6'4 as my back foot lands off the board. It pretty much looks like a longer minisimons but the fin placement is a bit different. Great video btw. 👌

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, buddy! It’s not quite a Mini Simmons. Based on your height and weight, the 6’6” Beastie 2.0 would feel more like a shortboard for you but more user friendly. Your ideal Mini Simmons size would be 5’10” x 22 x 3, which would give you enough float and make it easier to turn the board back to the pocket. What boards do you surf now?

      @@SkipperSurfReview thanks for your advice. I'm ridding a 6'10 (60L) Softech Bomber at the moment since I snapped my longboard in January. I used to find it quite easy to swap between the two boards. The Fanning 6'6 would be quite a drop in litres though, although it would have a similar surface area to the Bomber which I actually find really easy to surf.

    Sick video as always, bro. I've been eying the Beastie for a while, and it had always been sold out. I see that they're in stock now, so I think I will pull the trigger. Watching you ride makes me miss the Rockaways! During COVID, we moved from Queens to the North Fork, so now I'm surfing Westhampton Beach and Cupsogue mostly. Keep up the great work!

    If you don’t mind me asking, what did you feel were the main differences for you between the twin town & beastie?-i’m debating between getting one or the other! Do you think one is easier to catch waves than the other or is anything harder or easier about one vs the other? Or is faster or moreeasy to control? (no problem if ur too busy too answer! Ur videos were already so helpful!)

    • @SkipperSurfReview
      @SkipperSurfReview  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching! If you're at a beginner level, you'll find it easier to catch waves and ride them on the Beastie 2.0. It offers better hold on turns and performs well on bigger days. The Twin Town, on the other hand, is more skatey and provides greater speed down the line.Hope this helps!
