That looks so fun. I have the previous generation MF softboard which is epoxy lam series. Although it requires waxing, it doesn't cause skin abrasions. I have two questions: Does the EVA series, which doesn't require waxing, tend to cause skin abrasions in the summer? How much does the 5'4" board weigh? Since a soft top has an extra layer, it should be slightly heavier than a regular hardboard. It would be great if Noz could answer me. Thanks~😊
Hey legend! Sorry for the late response, TH-cam comments have been crazy this past month or so. Thats epic. This one is pretty heavy. I have only used it wearing rubber, so I actually don’t know if it causes any rashes/abrasions. I know I got bad stomach/nip ones on the old generation too. I’d have to hold two of them together to tell which one is heavier but it’s definitely heavier than a fibreglass 😂 Thanks mate

What a fantastic board and nice video ❤ This isn't relatable to the video but I would like to ask how do you get over the fear of the risk of being injured in surfing. Surfing Is really fun and it's life and a routine, but it can be gnarly too sometimes, you can get injured like cuts and pain, something more serious like spinal injuries etc. Would be appreciated if you can share some views and opinions towards this 🙏 I am a surfer myself , and I would like to listen to different perspectives of surfers from worldwide, thank you :)
Thank you so much for the kind words!! To answer your question: I still have fear/resistance towards getting hurt in the surf. My level might be higher than most as I’ve learnt how to bail properly and fall safely. The better you get at surfing, the more prone you’ll be to injury as you’re trying more complex moves. But you’ll also get better at avoiding injury from your experience. So how I would get over the fear is by starting in smaller waves. If it’s barrels, there’s less power in small surf. If you’re trying airs, you’ll have less speed and get less height in small surf. I wish there was an easy fix but I think like most things in life. You just have to get out there and gain experience. The fear is healthy, it protects us from doing stupid sh*t. So you just have to keep taking baby steps forward to increase your confidence and lessen your fear 🤙🏽

Hmmmm I don’t ride 32L boards so I can’t really answer this. But I feel like any board as short as 5’4 whether fibreglass or foamy… is just really weird to duckdive because of the outline
