Creosote is my favourite tasting note FYI. If you do a review and mention that; I'll end up buying it regardless. I used to paint fences with creosote as a kid and it's such a relatable smell!
Haha.....Creosote (and distant cowshed) would be a great combo in my view. A Kilkerran might fit the bill....great review. I just recently got a hold of a Let-chick 18 which is impossible to find in Alberta.....I had to buy it from a shipper in Edinburgh. LOL. It was fun to see how it would all work out but after all the taxes and shipping it was very close to 100 pounds. That's kind of steep but I am looking forward to opening it. Slainte my friends. Have a great rest of the week.
Oh aye it's a farm in a dram that one ;)!! And that's amazing to hear you managed to find someone to ship it, it's truly an awesome dram, let us know what you reckon when you've opened it :D!!! Have a great rest of your week too (hopefully with drams!!)
From nice and offensive to Glasgow spam in one video, you two should work on the SMWS tasting panel :) As a kid one of my chores was to paint the fence and shed with creosote, I used to hate that smell, so how did I end up like drinking something with that same note? How does that happen?
Brilliant comparison. Wonder if there would be much difference if reversed the order? Once you smell spam you won't not find it in a meaty peaty Whisky 😂 Cheers!

Same, that was my favourite task because I loved the smell!
Nice drams. Love them both. Cheers
Thanks!
Is that a "The Grail" necklace? I would look so great in that.
I think the Lediag edged it for me, i couldn't agree more with Jen about younger Caol Ila's.
Yes, definitely, never had a bad Caol Ila but the younger ones have a bit more character! That Ledaig though!

"tinkles my bell" - that's getting added to the list for future use.
🤣
Very nice presentation! Dont we all have an IKEA to stash the whisky 😁
😂
Jen gets Juniper in the Caol Ila?.Jennifer Juniper is a song by Donovan.
This was an early contender for the shop name right at the start before Rachel was onboard! But it was too gin orientated!

Thanks Jeff, exactly, I think that warrants a another tasting to try them the other way round!
Are you saying the entire city of Glasgow smells of Spam? That may indeed be mildly insulting to the residents there. Maybe not though.
Both being former residents ourselves we know many other residents and they all seem to agree!!!
Never tried caol Ila or ledaig
Oh, you need to change that! 2 of our favs!!
@@TheGrailTastings ledaig was always under the radar and caol Ila seems the forgotten Islay malt
