      In London there are plenty of houses for over £20 million that are terraced (houses attached both sides). This is Richmond and one of the most expensive areas in London (and therefore the UK) so it's good value.
      If you want detached, then go to a worse area outside London altogether. Problem solved.

    • @vongaichiwade164
      @vongaichiwade164 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@ReadMyComments not necessarily worse as it’s outside of London ... eg places in the midlands (eg kenilworth, rugby). All rather subjective

      @ReadMyComments 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@vongaichiwade164 Yeh, you're right. Worse is the wrong word as I've lived in Yorkshire before and quality of life can be v good. In Richmond, it's a case of supply and demand pushing prices up as well as a it having a lot of positives.

      @@ReadMyComments the fact that you consider 20mill for a semi detached house ‘good value’ baffles me. There are plenty of amazing cities in the UK where £2mil will get you a mansion. Calling them ‘worse’ areas is wrong imo

    • @ReadMyComments
      @ReadMyComments 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@brapsdanigga I never said 20m was good value. I was pointing out that in London there are houses of that value in relation to people saying 2m is expensive. Of course 20m is expensive but it's the location that they are and will sell at. I have lived all over the UK and I know that 2m gets you a mansion in most parts. When I say, worse, I mean less desirable to some.

All that money for this new build with a view of bins and max volume houses sandwiched in on site shocking. Not even a pavement between property and road should you wish to walk. Greedy developer.

    It’s my absolute goals to be able to have a house like this in Richmond / Kingston. Like the way it’s a new build but they made it feel homely and with character the terraces on the road look like Georgian style properties . It’s obviously expensive but that’s the going rate in Richmond I guess. Like that they have air conditioning in the bedrooms ! But think the house is a bit top heavy, would need a second living room / kids playroom / games room I think. Xxx

    really like that the study is placed on the 1st floor giving a lot more peace and quiet than a lot of properties where it is quite small and by the front door, I like the kitchen and the master bedroom although to be honest I would have put wardrobes on both sides of the dressing room. Also with the regards putting a utility on the top floor is a good idea 👍

    The outlook from the property is a bit dystopian with just cars parked everywhere. But I suppose that's the reality of the suburbs of London. Gotta get those spaces for his and hers Range Rover Evoques. Those a/c units slapped on the walls are a nice touch in a new build. Would have been nice to have vents and ducting to a central unit, but that cuts into P&L doesn't it. Bonus points for a top floor laundry room though - finally a developer does something unconventional but sensible. Of course the shoddy UK plumbing will likely ruin the ceiling below some day, but such is life.

    The bedrooms did not have enough built in wardrobes or en-suites for the price where is the boot room, garage, Shed, outside office space, playroom
    Where are the eco features for heating and lights and air conditioning

    My first thought was that a laundry [and what appeared to be a water heater] situated on the top floor is a recipe for disaster should there ever be a mishap. Were I having guests for dinner, the kitchen would never be that tidy and lovely and I'd die before I paraded my guests through it to be seated for dinner. As a new build, I would not want to see any climate control systems in full view which seemed to be at odds with the fireplace [working or decorative]. But, as an old dude in the states, who cares what I think?
