Thanks for making these videos. I purchased the Bearmach version which is/was made by P&P ( Performance &Protection?) Installed it without removing the roof sides, made a vid on my channel but nothing as detailed as yours. Love your video series!
There's many people who wouldn't even notice any of these problems.... Wind the bolts in and call it done! Have to agree with your sentiment about quality of just about everything!
...that's how Shitpart earned its name mate....that bar was a pile of crap.....you've made a silk purse out of a sow's ear with this one, Nige....I take my hat off to you :)
What's really sad is the weekend warrior that either hasn't the talent or the tools to modify a so-called bolt in kit. They push and pull and twist to get it in over the weekend only to find their doors won't close and their body panels are warped. I'll take proper fit with bird shit welds over this. Really pathetic. The few times I've added in some sort of structural supports I've gone for a kit (as you suggested). That way you know it squares up to what you have and not the other way around. Between this and the Ranger, it's time for a couple pints.
That Land rover will be anything but crap when it's finished. Hats off to you nige fantastic job...

I use Parrafin for oily bits and oven cleaner for the carbon bits.
