Hey a lot of people are asking so please read this before commenting; the reason I make noises with my mouth during this video is because I have Tourette’s Syndrome. Basically I make noises and do things called “tics” that I cannot control. Thank you guys for understanding.

Nintendo should just hire crafty at this point to make him add these modes. It's better than their multiplayer

That'd be too reasonable. Best they'd do is sue Crafty. Take it or leave it.
Facts
Basic summary of everyone as a hider:
Smallant: either hides in a blatantly obvious spot or a ridiculously hard to reach tech jump spot with no in between, loves abusing subarea entrances and exits, pretty decent at running away
CJ: looks for ways to improve his spot but finds some way to kill himself before the seeker even sees him (or gets his spot stolen by smallant)
Fir: hides somewhere he thinks is big brain but ends up getting chased into a subarea where he continuously out-maneuvers the seeker before accidentally killing himself
Crafty: finds some random obvious spot that somehow works and ends up being the last found (or dies attempting to reach his spot)
Basic summary of everyone as a hunter:
Smallant: loves abusing warp flags
CJ: keeps getting trolled by latency
Fir: Absolute bloodhound who sniffs out the hiders with ease
Crafty: gets bullied by the speedrunner hiders who keep outrunning him, although very good at guarding subarea exits

I realize this is a meme but if anyone's actually curious the reason big game companies are hesitant to add online is because they want to produce well polished games to keep up appearances, and the extreme amount of jank and constant desyncs are extremely difficult problems to solve, especially if you haven't designed the game to facilitate online multiplayer from the very start. It would require a ridiculous amount of time and money to add it *and* make it look nice, and it just isn't worth it financially.
@@jacksonsmith2955 I think you're overblowing how hard it is to add a multiplayer mode. Like, these mods for instance, for the most part, the desync is basically one of the only major glitches in this one, and even that issue is a lot less of a big deal from the company who makes the game's perspective than for a modder. Because if they're too incompetent to figure out another solution, Nintendo is big enough to get servers so people can do it so everything can be synced to the server instead of a host. The problem is just that Nintendo are the most incompetent people when it comes to anything online-related and would go the cheap route which would be terrible

I really love how everyone had their little niche way of hiding.
Smallant took advantage of the chaos and changed his spots a lot.
Fir had fairly vanilla spots, but had excellent escapes whenever he was found.
CJ went ALL IN on crazy spots that you wouldn't think you could stand.
And Crafty was great at abusing the map geometry in creative ways to hide in otherwise obvious locations.
I have mad respect to all of them
still so upset that person ruined crafty's spot because I realllllly wanted to see their reactions when he would have to eventually tell them.

Think Crafty deserves MUCH more credit for pulling off this mod, it’s a major game changer for this game’s replayability and content. Imagine a new genre of duo speedrunning!

I loved how each person had their specialty:
Smallant: probably the best at finding people
Fir: the best avoider in chase
Crafty: the best at hiding in plain sight
Cj: the best at accidentally killing himself getting to the spot
But jokes aside, great video! That album cover had me rolling
fir is seriously so damn nimble. it's incredible watching his chases. and I love how crafty hides. so fun. and I like his voice. it's all just a fun video.

This is such a cool idea. Can't believe we didn't get this and got Balloon World instead. I mean, it's fun, but this looks so much more fun
its is only fun because they know what they are doing. If this was in real game no one would be able to catch the sweats who could do tricky jumps and movements and it would ruin the fun.

lowering the water level was honestly such a genius move, the ability to alter things without said things being altered for others sounds like a legitimate stand power.

I used to not really understand why dream's manhunt series was so popular, but after watching this I think I get it, I've rewatched the three rounds of this so many times already
Every action movie needs a good chase scene. This makes the entire movie a chase

Wanted to watch these videos in order, so I kept coming back to this one for the link to Fir's video every so often. So before getting the chance to actually watch this all the way through, I kept hearing the "everyone explain at the same time" joke over and over as the first few seconds play while I quickly check the description for the next link.
...and I still somehow find it absolutely hilarious.
The editing of perspectives is so good
Your video is by far the best edited out of the three. No discredit to SmallAnt or Fir but the way you integrated everyone's perspective simultaneously was really interesting.
It's really interesting to come back and watch some of the earliest rounds I never saw and seeing how much the mod has changed since then.

Going for the mushroom kingdom 2d section was a ballsy move, that took me over an hour in my playthrough. By far the hardest platforming in the game when playing casually
Yeah, worst thing is, he only died because he basically committed suicide.
Without this brainfart at the end, he would have been golden.

12:45 I'm so sad, that they cut out the rootin tootin stampede they all did through the city at the end of Metro. One of my total favorite streaming moments of 2021. I hope they will never burn out of this stuff.
Maybe there is room for some kind of olympic competitions, like a race to a certain point, or battle royale (capturing each other?) ... or, if the mod at some point is capable of it, drawing competition with Marios/Goombas Face.

When multiple POV's are shown at the same time its kinda confusing! I personally think its less confusing if its always only one Stream but switching between them like in Smallants Steam. But the idea of hide and seek in smo turned out so fun to watch, that, I gotta say
