Siem Reap, a resort town in northwestern Cambodia, is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th-15th centuries. Angkor’s vast complex of intricate stone buildings includes preserved Angkor Wat, the main temple, which is pictured on Cambodia’s flag. Giant, mysterious faces are carved into the Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom.

In Cambodia, price of products are cheap due to low wage of labor market. All products are taxed, but most likely you will not see tax tag because Cambodian does not like seeing it printing on their receipts.

I was in Siem Reap for 3 weeks. It was amazing! Everything was so cheap. I miss Pub Street :(

Try to be more discrete. It is not cheap for Cambodians, most of whom are lucky to earn US$100 a month for working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week in a shoe factory or somewhere similar.

Nice video! I was there about a year before you were there. Siem Reap is so fun! I stayed for 10 days. I drank so much of the $.50 Angkor draft beers. Angkor Wat was mind blowing. I recommend Cheers bar. Nice atmosphere, good music, but not too loud and a pool table make for the perfect location to relax. The manager, Mr Thorng Kimsor is such a great guy. Some of the art available in this town is what really shocked me. There are some really incredible artists selling their work in the markets. Some of the paintings I saw were really breathtaking. I think my biggest takeaway from visiting Cambodia and what impressed me the most were the people. Cambodian people are so warm and genuine. I've also really gotten along well with Cambodian people I've met elsewhere in the world. I'll go back some day, for sure and see more of the country.

It's so nice to see you both participate in your videos making it both of your experiences together. This is so different from videos put up by retirees who have their mute Thai partners that are literally made to follow them around everywhere always silently agreeing and being almost euphoric about it. I did mention this in one forum and it was obviously not taken well. I had suggested that their partners can provide such a local insight to make the videos enriching, like yours. It was discomforting for me when I was told that their partner of 10 years or so don't like to talk but had them anyways, probably to show the viewers that their lives are great. Such a relief to come across your informative videos.

It’s really quite interesting you guys have explored all part of Siem Reap. I’ve been there a single time I haven’t noticed that they have tourists part and local part, Honestly I only see luxurious hotels, fancy restaurant along airports road, and temple... it’s really interesting all activity that you guys been to. I’m gonna pack up my suitcase to Siem Reap for my next vocation.

I live in the Philippines but spend at least 2 months a year in Siem Reap on holiday, as its half the price and the food is twice as good. And pizzas are a lot happier, if you know what I mean

I was born in Cambodia then at 4 years old I was adopted now I'm 13 years old and I'd like to go back with my family to cabodia to visit it

I just got back from Cambodia a couple of days ago, and was surprised with how quiet it was as well. I loved how quiet it was, but was wondering if it was because it's off season or just because it may not be as touristy as other Southeast Asia countries.
