I would cry of legit happiness if you made the olympic team. Agreed as a gymnast myself. My coach told me I was "fine" and had me keep going without me ever seeing a medical professional. Years later, I learned I had a broken foot with the bone displaced AND a herniated disc at L5-S1 touching my siatic nerve. I'm lucky to be walking considering I was training and tumbling through tears with that injury because coach said it was "fine". My body would be capable of SO much more if we had been given proper spotting to prevent more injuries and been seen when we got injured so the injury wasn't made worse.

There’s zero pressure for her to make a routine or have it done by X date. 3) she’s doing this for herself at her own pace. There’s no set date for a complete routine or competition date. Would she like to? Probably. But you can tell she’s taking it day by day just seeing what she can come up with and what her body can handle. Most comeback attempts start as “ I want another run” but end up turning into “everyone expects me to do this”. There’s no expectations for her because we’re all on this ride with her together. Older, mature gymnasts, those in their 20s, 30s, have that advantage over younger adolescents. These videos are the best way to start my week (I live in the Netherlands, so they are mostly uploaded around midnight here)I watch them during breakfast every monday, and it makes me so happy!!
I know this isn't the most impressive of her skills but I like the illusion turn. They look so cool! (Much better than the wolf turns that everyone favors these days.)
I love watching these videos! Chellsie should’ve been on the ‘04 Olympic Team and should’ve been able to compete at Nationals in 2012. It’s amazing she can still perform these skills at 32. I really hope she gets another shot at the Olympics!
I love seeing the slow mos! Great education for beginning adult gymnasts to get a sense of how skills work. Also wonderful to see a healthy gym and the interactions between Chellsie, Andy, and Rahdea - and between Stacy and Andy!
Chellsie you blow my mind each week seeing how much you have accomplished and how incredibly amazing you are attacking each skill with the knowledge gained from the past plus what you learned since your last competition and how to build up slowly to protect yourself from injuries and using it to reach even higher goals and skills. I may not know the names of each skill and how much they add to a score and level of difficulty, but I see the greatness in you that has always blown those of us watching away emerging and the fact that you are stronger and capable of doing even more complex skills is thrilling to watch. Thank you for sharing your journey and letting Andy share bits of your day with us. 👍🏻❤️🤗🤸🏻♀️🥇
I love the edits and how you two communicate from the side, and when he says love you and starts singing 😍❤ I love how authentic you are, Love you, always look forward
Another great video!! So nice to see Chellsie rediscovering bars again. Also I totally agree with Chellsie that Rhadea is way better than she thinks she is.
Ugh I love this so much! It’s so exciting to see how far she has come. I love seeing the training and build up to the final skill. It makes me appreciate the artistry and athletic ability of these gymnasts that much more.
You’re looking stronger and more determined in every video! When I was competing in Freestyle Skiing I had this slip of paper I kept in my pocket for every competition and I’ll pass it on to you: You don’t win by being the best, you win by making fewer mistakes than everyone else!” In other words, on any given day anyone can win! Rooting for you👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
When I wake up in the morning in Wuppertal, Germany and see a video from you, I smile and know it's going to be a lovely day! Fancy that: a simple video making people happy!
Awesome achievements for someone doing gymnastics 3 days a week, there must be quite some talent out there ;) Seriously, this progression is so unprecedented and unique and inspiring. What a great team, Chellsie, Andy and Rahdea, you are fantastic !
This entire comeback journey has been so inspiring. I was a gymnast in the 90s and now I just do regular cardio and calisthenics. But this has reminded me to incorporate gymnastics back into my workouts in some capacity. Like handstand exercises.
I just watched through a lot of your journey, and I'm so excited for you! We're all rooting for you, lady! Keep taking it one step at a time and stay healthy! Chell Yeah!!
I’m just amazed by your vaulting. You’re taking what was your “weakest” event over a decade ago, to a level that is competitive among the world’s best AA gymnasts today. And well within striking distance of vault finalists. Well done! 🙂
I am surprised by vault too! I did not think I would be doing doubles again this soon or ever and never thought I would try an amanar even into the pit.
Her split leaps are so much bigger! I was just watching videos from 2011/2012 visa & worlds last night. I forgot she had a comeback in 2012! Chellsie, you are amazing! I’m so happy for you!
Andy and Chellsie are national treasures! Andy is a sweet dad and supportive coach. Chellsie is a beast athlete who is a great person inspiring so many right now.
I loved the music of the first three and a half minutes! It captured the wonder I feel watching your journey and progression and put it to song. I'm not a gymnast, but also wanted to let you know that you inspire me to get out there and get back to running.
Always give yourself a chance to rest and heal even when you are feeling good. You are looking so awesome!!! Healthy, flexible and strong.... all day long.
I just love watching these videos. Chellsie, you are so inspirational. Although you are training at a level that I will never be able to reach (in any sport), you sharing your progress is motivating me to change in my own way. I thank you for that. And I just love your work ethic and attention to detail - toes pointed, just beautiful form. And your switch leap! Wow!
I love watching the relationship you and your Dad have! My Dad was my coach (Basketball) and there is no greater bond than sharing a passion mixed with Father/Daughter love!! Chell Yeah!
Hands down the best video you've posted. I've watched through 3x straight. Keep going with that illusion aerial combo. Its beautiful! I so wish I could aerial with that ease (still🤔maybe)
Younger gymnasts, those who may be in their late teens, really probably can't comprehend the amount of fear that needs to be overcome when making a comeback / return to the sport after several years off. Shaun Johnson described it best, how as a 14, 15 year old, she had no real fear - she had been doing increasingly difficult skills for over a decade, so was used to it. But behind older, she looks back, sees what she rid, and feels the fear now, after all these years. Heck, even doing a cartwheel on the beam, much less a front flip (blind landing ) takes a lot of courage
Please do a cool/different bars mount, they are so rare these days! Thank you for this brilliant series & comeback - 2020 won't have been a complete waste.
Arabians and illusions, 2 skills that are usually hideous, but gorgeous when chell does em because she does em right! Chellsie also has the best wolf turns. It's called not doing wolf turns and they're gorgeous.

I just want a video of Andy’s self-talk and dad mumbling all day. 😂 He’s a treasure. And ❤️ all the connections- I’m learning the lingo!
Omg that Hindorff release skill is awesome!
So nice to see that you are upgrading your skills; and that all your tricks are coming back!
Never thought I'd see Chellsie on bars again, it's amazing.
These videos are the best way to start my week (I live in the Netherlands, so they are mostly uploaded around midnight here)I watch them during breakfast every monday, and it makes me so happy!!
Mij ook!😉Life can be really shitty but Chell's comeback journey chases all those dark clouds away.
Glad you like them!
I like seeing the support you and Rahdea give each other. Really enjoying your bars work.
I know this isn't the most impressive of her skills but I like the illusion turn. They look so cool! (Much better than the wolf turns that everyone favors these days.)
It must be inspiring for like the younger girls to see Chellsie train. It also seems like a great atmosphere to train in :)
I love watching these videos! Chellsie should’ve been on the ‘04 Olympic Team and should’ve been able to compete at Nationals in 2012. It’s amazing she can still perform these skills at 32. I really hope she gets another shot at the Olympics!
I hated how the Karolyi's basically ousted her in 2012 for not rushing into things. She was well on her way to be considered for a spot.
What other skill are we going to see in your future bar routine? So excited to see the Hindorff training!
I love seeing the slow mos! Great education for beginning adult gymnasts to get a sense of how skills work. Also wonderful to see a healthy gym and the interactions between Chellsie, Andy, and Rahdea - and between Stacy and Andy!
This really turned into my favorite series on youtube. Everyone is just delightful.
The choice of music for when Chellsie hits the illusion turn-aerial? perfection. iconic. amazing editing.
Thank you!!
Why can't we have... Like...15 videos a week😭😭I've never been MORE excited for a comeback!!
Yeah! My favorite Sunday thing to watch. Nothing is better than watching gymnastics and one of my favorite gymnasts! Chell yeah. 🤸🏻♀️
Absolutely incredible!! Chelsie you and your dad make an amazing team!!
I love the edits and how you two communicate from the side, and when he says love you and starts singing 😍❤
I love how authentic you are, Love you, always look forward
Another great video!! So nice to see Chellsie rediscovering bars again. Also I totally agree with Chellsie that Rhadea is way better than she thinks she is.
The filming and editing on this series keeps getting better and better. Super impressed!
yesss HINDORFF!! CHELL YEAH! always start my work week now with this update! love the training side by side... so much to be inspired by as always
Ugh I love this so much! It’s so exciting to see how far she has come. I love seeing the training and build up to the final skill. It makes me appreciate the artistry and athletic ability of these gymnasts that much more.
These are my favorite videos ever. Seriously
Rooting for you👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!!
I watch your videos and cheer and clap my hands with tears of emotion in my eyes! You are so strong, talented and inspiring 💖
Omg same 😍 I love her!
As a mom you inspire me Chelsea! The entire Lemons family is rooting for you!
Thank you!
Yeah girl me too!
That illusion to aerial connection is so satisfying
Favorite part of my week. Chellsie Memmel got me into gymnastics at nationals in ‘03. First meet I saw in person.
When I wake up in the morning in Wuppertal, Germany and see a video from you, I smile and know it's going to be a lovely day! Fancy that: a simple video making people happy!
I love Andy's rebel insta posts 😂
It's so crazy how far you've come... Let's go Chellsie!!
Awesome achievements for someone doing gymnastics 3 days a week, there must be quite some talent out there ;) Seriously, this progression is so unprecedented and unique and inspiring. What a great team, Chellsie, Andy and Rahdea, you are fantastic !
Thank you!
Holy shit! That illusion to aerial was so sick! I'm speechless. That's a killer combo. What would the connection bonus be for that?
Mike M 0.2 I think
Mike M, it would be a 0.2 connection and a 0.1 in bonus so a total of 0.3 connection because she would be connecting a D skill to a D skill.
Tray White there is no 0.1 CV unless it’s a series! So just 0.2
@@Disney582 not worth the risk, then?
it would be .2
This entire comeback journey has been so inspiring.
Thank you!
I wish all gymnasts finished every skill like u. It’s beautiful!
Just hearing her talk about routine construction and getting extra tenths gives me goosebumps. So excited and inspired by Chellsie!
Best part of my day, here in smoky California. You are such an inspiration and your dad always makes me smile.
I bet she could do a second vault if she wanted to. Real contender at vault finals
Her split leaps are so much bigger! I was just watching videos from 2011/2012 visa & worlds last night. I forgot she had a comeback in 2012! Chellsie, you are amazing! I’m so happy for you!
I have been waiting all day for this.
That is so great!!
Always give yourself a chance to rest and heal even when you are feeling good. You are looking so awesome!!! Healthy, flexible and strong.... all day long.
Patiently waiting for the upgraded dismount training 👀
She could do a double front with a full twist off bars.
We need a Patterson!!!
My vote is definitely for the patterson but piked 😁😁
My guess is either Patterson or full in piked
Thrilled to hear that your shoulder is feeling ok doing bars! Another week, more amazing progress!
That illusion+aerial was awesome
I just love watching these videos. Chellsie, you are so inspirational. Although you are training at a level that I will never be able to reach (in any sport), you sharing your progress is motivating me to change in my own way. I thank you for that. And I just love your work ethic and attention to detail - toes pointed, just beautiful form. And your switch leap! Wow!
Wow, thank you!
best come back story ever! memmel up!!
Coach Andy on the mike is the best!! This is the content we need!!
I love watching the relationship you and your Dad have! My Dad was my coach (Basketball) and there is no greater bond than sharing a passion mixed with Father/Daughter love!! Chell Yeah!
I agree, its great!
Just found this series, and I love how inspirational it is! Also, Rahdea is THE BEST. I love the energy between you two!
Thank you!
Yes there is more fear this time around for sure!
I admire her strength...Go ahead, Chellsie!!!
I LOVE how excited Andy gets about his instagram posts 😂😂😂
I love the gym atmosphere, wish I did gymnastics growing up
Do it, now. It's not too late.
Yaass Queeen!! Love all the new things she is trying and seem to always just be getting better.
Me, a non gymnast: what’s a hindorff what’s a hindorff
Chellsie going for it: 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥
Me: 😳😧WOAH
A hindorff is like a tkatchev (the release Rahdea does at 12:50) but out of a clear hip circle instead of a giant swing.
This journey is restoring some of my faith in humanity. Truly inspiring!
