Man those tuck full-ins in beam had some air time--it was like you hung there for a second before landing. Great job. I’m really glad you are going to Tokyo. I hope you bring home a medal or two of your own. Good luck! 🍀 🍀🍀 Remember to: be in the moment, do what you always do in practice and have fun. Oh and breathe. Sometimes a deep breath makes all the difference. Edited to add: on the days you feel the most run down talk to your body. Our cells respond to what we say to them. If you say, “I’m exhausted and so tired.” That is what your body feels. If you say: “I can do this one more time then I feed and rest up.” The body is like: oh okay I’ve got this. I really think USAG should have the national team work with a nutritionist. Y’all need energy food and yes that is carbs actually. If you have too much protein your body runs low on energy because of a lack of good carbs. I’m sure you know this already. You’ve got this. Holding space for your journey!
This is the comment of 10K YAS-ES!!! Your strength and focus post Trials is astounding. You will get those form issues fixed by the Olympics and a spot in the AA and multiple event finals. I’m rooting for you ✨
Hey OLYMPIAN! I started watching Golden and it’s so cool to see you talking about trying to make the Olympics and now you have!! You are an inspiration to me. Cheering you on all the way!

SO GLAD to see you cleaning up bars. I wish they would have done that with you sooner and you could have snagged 4th, but we can’t change the past. So glad you are cleaning things up! Good job.
She was working on cleaning up bars a long time ago. Also she was trying to add an extra twist to her pak, so now that they're focusing on clean vs extra difficulty based on feedback etc they're just polishing now. Totally makes sense to me.
@@elisharoberts1029 I know they have worked a ton on her bars in general. But no one other than Tom has talked about the small details in any of the training videos and it’s been bad habits causing so many deductions forever. I was wondering what time you guys were leaving for Tokyo. After your last video and how getting sleep was so terrible you everyone definitely needs at least a few days to adjust to the new place and bed because sleep is so important to performing your best. So excited to watch you all!
So excited for you!! You made my morning. My car wouldn’t start and I had to wait for AAA, which I’m not the best start to my morning, but you changed my mood around! You had an excellent day training, love your coaches, love your updates!
I’m so damn impressed by you. The change from video to video is incredible. Beam & bars look SO much cleaner & stronger than even a couple months ago! I’m cheering you on so hard - you’ve got this!
I think both you and/or Jade have a real chance of snagging that 2nd all around spot and I truly hope one of ya’all do!! Same with floor and vault. Go do your best!! And stay in bounds!! Thanks so much for the video (#1 hubby Jonas).🥇
Sorry but with Jordan and Suni they have no chance. I hope Myk makes vault and Jade makes floor finals (and Jordan bars and Grace beam) so everyone can make a final
@@anikokoren3417 quit being a USAG sheep. Suni fell off beam twice and bars once at the last worlds. Jordan has never even had an international competition. Jade hasn’t competed her full difficulty due to her ankle in any of the recent comps and is a four time world medalist and that number would’ve been higher if she didn’t have to sit out a worlds to get an individual nominative spot. It’s gymnastics and anything can happen and someone other than Suni can certainly snag that 2nd all around spot in a heartbeat.
So exciting. I feel like you've improved even just since trials, and it's because you feel like you belong now (even though you did before!). Like you got acknowledged as being deserving of being an Olympian, and suddenly your gymnastics improved to what it could've been all along. YOU GOT THIS! OLYMPIC ALL AROUND SILVER (I mean, we know Simone, so, you know hahaha).
Do you ever get tired of your floor music? As a dancer there are some songs that I never want to hear again because I heard them so many times while learning and preparing a piece. Also that pirouette on bars looks so good! So excited to watch you kill it at the Olympics!!
As a dancer I can relate to this so much...I had a solo for the past two years with the same music (pandemic) and I literally will not listen to that song willingly because I've heard it so much and I know every nook and cranny
MyKayla, you are doing great! I've been watching your beam routine get better each time! Bars look great too! It's all coming together! Keep up the great work! Stay well!
Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your life ! The time in doing so when you (and your husband) really don't have to just shows how you're committed. Stay safe and cool 😎
I'm a tiny bit concerned that you doing AA means you have less time to focus on your vault or floor fx, but honestly... It's your final meet, and it's the OLYMPICS. Go big or go home, as they say! Super excited to see you compete AA and I know ur gunna do great!
That’s what I also thought... Just focus on her strengths to earn a medal, rather than waste her time trying to reach AA Finals when we’ve got Simone, Suni, and Jordan who are ALL pretty solid AA gymnasts... But whatever makes Myk happy, I’ll support her! I’m just hoping she really earns a medal coz she’s been working so hard trying to get to the Olympic Team! 🥇
@@indakgalak TBH, I kind of think that if she keeps improving, her odds of qualifying to AA are on par with her odds of qualifying vault and floor. She's got the difficulty, and her form genuinely keeps getting better and better. I just wish our women weren't having to compete against their teammates as much as (if not more than) they're competing against other countries.
There is only so much pounding you can do to practice vt and fx, esp given that she also has the bone spur pressing on the achille tendon. So it's good to do some ub and bb training also.
All 6 athletes will compete all 4 events during qualifications in Tokyo. The team will then put up the 'best' 3 on each event from the 4 person team for team finals and all 3 scores will count. The top 2(per country) for AA and each event then go on to compete in the event and AA finals. I know there's a cap on how many total spots are in the finals I just don't recall what it is. Given this it totally makes sense for MyKayla to continue pushing on each event.
I think it is better for her to do all around. Inside of me saying that she have a chance to qualified into all arround, vault, beam, and floor. She have a huge chance to qualified into vault final. She also have a good chance get into beam final. I know a lot of people will not agree with me on that, but she have 6.6 potential D-score on beam. If she can hit beam routine like in her training, i think she can get 7.6 + on execution. That will give her 14.2 on the beam. I think she can handle the pressure on the olympic better than at olympic trial. She had too much pressure on trial but still stay on the beam. The chance to get into beam final is bigger than floor final( if she still doing DDLO).

@@ilikeyoutube836 thank you for being kind! i knew she would be able to accept money and stuff like that, i just didn’t really know the ends and outs of it all. i appreciate your feedback and your kindness :)
@@ilikeyoutube836 does it also mean that she can't compete for a college team anymore? I read somewhere that Jordyn Wieber wasn't allowed to do gymnastics for her college team because she took a sponsorship (became pro).
i just keep thinking about how no matter what happens you are an OLYMPIAN and that’s so exciting!!
I know i already commented this in another post but I am so excited for you. You have worked so hard and it has paid off. I have watched all your competitions and TH-cam videos and i know you totally deserve this. I absolutely love you and you are my biggest ispiration. Make sure to not over work yourself and stay positive. You got this. I beleive in you. Goood LUck and Im so exxcited and happy for youuuu.
The vision of a gymnastics coach is incredible. To be able to see exactly what their body is doing, & know how to make the movements better & cleaner, is amazing.
Your UB routine looks awe-some! I love the upbeat floor music. You are so hardworking. BB split leaps and turns are gorgeous.
I am glad she's doing all around❤️, excited to see her in Tokyo👏
This is the comment of 10K YAS-ES!!! Your strength and focus post Trials is astounding. You will get those form issues fixed by the Olympics and a spot in the AA and multiple event finals. I’m rooting for you ✨
good luck in Tokyo! I love that you're showing athletes that they can come back and be competitive after college ♥️
Yay. So glad Bob explained. I was so confused haha
MVP Bob right there 😂
Hey OLYMPIAN! I started watching Golden and it’s so cool to see you talking about trying to make the Olympics and now you have!!
You are an inspiration to me. Cheering you on all the way!
Myk, you may be feeling tired, but you are looking so STRONG!!
If you really work out the little form kinks, and truly hit as you’re capable of, you won’t just be an Olympian! You’ll be an Olympic medal winner!
SO GLAD to see you cleaning up bars. I wish they would have done that with you sooner and you could have snagged 4th, but we can’t change the past. So glad you are cleaning things up! Good job.
I think that she just needed the motivation of making the Olympics to help her push herself
I’m glad they are cleaning it up for the Olympics, but it doesn’t make sense to not have done it for trials too.
@@mark_c28 agreed. Excited to see her kill it in Tokyo! 😊
Great video. Looking forward to seeing MyKayla Skinner at the Olympics!
Myk, you are continuing to improve! I love Bob's philosophy! I definitely think working all 4 events is the way to go! I have been watching you for several years now and am absolutely stoked that you are going to Tokyo. Great job at OT's...stay healthy- really looking forward to you bringing it ( congrats to your great coaching team as well).
@15:40 that stuck Myk!! you are looking better than ever and you do not look that tired , so that is awesome. As always say to you that i love and amire you both (Myk and Jonas) so much1
saludos desde Chile
I was wondering what time you guys were leaving for Tokyo. After your last video and how getting sleep was so terrible you everyone definitely needs at least a few days to adjust to the new place and bed because sleep is so important to performing your best. So excited to watch you all!
I am so glad Kayla shared her training and personal life with her fans!! It really shows how much dedication she puts into gymnastics 🤍
So excited for you!! You made my morning. My car wouldn’t start and I had to wait for AAA, which I’m not the best start to my morning, but you changed my mood around! You had an excellent day training, love your coaches, love your updates!
I'm in awe of your talent, skill, and character that allows you are able to keep going to get to the Olympic Games. You will make us all proud.
I would LOVE an upset for that 2nd AA spot! I feel like Myk and Jade are the most improved gymnasts of this quad and either one can make it happen!
Man how do you train when you feel like that?? That’s some dedication - get it girl!! Congrats on making the team!
So happy you made the Olympic team! I want you to make it in 2016! Can’t wait to see you in Tokyo!
Mykala si se puede! You can make it to the top!!!
Good Luck, MyK! Kill it in Tokyo!
Come on guys, Lets get Myk to 100k by the time Tokyo begins!!!
Girl, I am rooting for you so much. I'm so proud of you! So happy USAG finally recognized your greatness
Can’t wait for your merch to drop myk
i’m so excited for the merch! definitely getting some 😉
We can’t wait!!! When will it be ready?
Good bait right there!
I love your goofy personality your upbeat fun attitude rooting for you Tokyo 2020!! It’s amazing how great you look when you’re really in your zone you can see just how much of a great athlete you really are!! Always be proud of you 👍
You look so strong, powerful, and elegant! I'm soooooo excited this is happening for you, you've worked incredibly hard and overcome so much. I'm sure you've learned so much through this. Now it's time to reap your reward🥰
You are going to do WELL!!!!!! God bless all of you young ladies competing in the Olympics!
All your hard work has paid off! Us fans are so proud of you! Team Myk!!!!!! You are going to hit! Praying for you ❤️🥇
God bless you MyKayla, you are in my prayers for a wonderful, healthy, successful, and safe Olympics. Enjoy every moment! God bless America!!
I’m so stoked for you and the rest of team USA! I’ve been wondering what the plan was for you! I decided to think ahead this Olympic cycle.. I’m taking paid time days off of work this year to be able to watch on the live stream! The televised competitions usually aren’t the greatest so I’m stoked. Good luck, Myk! You got this!
Awwww lovin the vibes! Paid time off!!! Yassss :)
I'm doing the same. Just gotta figure out how to actually vacation at the beach at the same time!
So so happy for you. Woohoo. Your endurance is much better. I love your floor music. It’s got a playfulness to it. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤️❤️
you’ve got this Myk!!!! we will all be cheering you on!
I’m so happy for you!! Get it girl! I love coach Bob’s style of coaching. Seems to care a lot about his gymnasts. We need more coaches like this in USA Gymnastics!
So happy for you MyKayla!! You earned this!! Can't wait to see you in Tokyo!!
Wow!! So consistent on the beam!! Beautiful lines ❤️👍🏻 the best of luck on Tokyo you totally deserve metal! 🏅
I am so excited you are going to fulfill your Olympic Dream! Congratulations and the best of luck to you, Mykayla!
That last double twisting layout looked awesome!! Looking good Mykayla❤️
So proud. So excited for you. So impressed with your determination, hard work, and strength. You’ve got this and you will do great things in Tokyo!!! 💙🇺🇸
I think if she takes out the double double she will really amplify her score on floor exercise!! I’m so happy for you myk, just form form form! You got this!
Bars are looking great!!! Your form as approved sooo much! Just don't over think or get ahead of yourself! I also think it is hilarious that you can't do a double lay, but can do a Silivas easy.
Your pirouettes on bars are looking so good, omg! I love watching you on bars, you have nice lines and handstands, and great height on flight elements. I feel like your bars were underscored at trials and I'm really hoping the Olympic judges give you and others scores more in line with what I think is deserved. Definitely think your routine can and should score in the 14s. So glad you're giving the AA your all as well, I have so much faith in you and what you can do when you put your mind to things. You are a force!
I agree! The handstands in this video were killer -- the lines were so pretty but the strength was awesome.
Go Myk! can’t wait to see you as an Olympian!!!!!!!
Bless her heart she seems exhausted and burnt out! When you get to Tokyo try and remember why you love gymnastics and what you worked so hard for. Your so talented honey....you got this!
I love the 80s music playing. "Sunglasses at Night".
Real happy for Mykayla
WOW so proud of you! And that you’re bringing us along for the journey. Hope you bring home some medals!! Love you!!🤍🤍
I was rooting for you so bad during the trials I was literally soooo excited when your name got called for the Olympic team!! You’re so amazing! I’m so excited to watch your journey and hopefully you can create more behind the scenes type content! Cheering you on from SATX!❤️
Myk you're doing just the right move! Trying to get less deductions on your Moors or changing it to a DLO (which I'm really sure you're able to do) might make you a contender for the floor final. We're rooting for you!
This is what I’ve been saying !!! She gives minimum .6 away on that pass alone.
You look better than ever!! Good luck in Tokyo!
I’m so proud of you beautiful girl! Live in the moment! You deserve this! 💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜
Congratulations. Good luck in the Olympics.
Love the move where you’re basically doing a handstand on the low bar then fall downward until your hips catch the bar for a second. It’s just a neat looking move.
Good luck McKayla!
I’m SO EXCITED for you! You’re looking great and I can’t wait to see you win some medals! You deserve it!
In the floor routine I love the move where you flip onto your back with one knee up! I don't know why it just looks cool!
MyKayla is the only person I've seen who is doing that beam mount who actually gets some air between the take off and shoulder support. I really like the way she does that skill.
Hoping she can hold it for a few seconds! Such a pretty mount when held.
You have the best floor choreo and music by far!! I love how fun it is! Good luck at the Olympics!!
Love the old intro, but I'm sure Jonas will make the new intro just as epic. Can't wait to cheer you on through my T.V. at the Olympics!🥳💖🎆🎉🎊🦋🌞🌈 Keep that positive attitude going. 🌟You don't have anything to prove to anyone, just go out there and enjoy yourself. You deserve this.. 🤗🥰😘 And remember to breathe.😁🤗
So great to see Myk making her full routines on bars… I remember when she was struggling to make the skills! Amazing progress! Best of luck in Tokyo!
