Io ho conosciuto la musica di Zappa grazie a Mike in Zappa Universe... è un musicista spettacolare che conosce perfettamente la musica di Frank...e la suona proprio con lo stesso spirito di Zappa.... Grande Mike 😎👍
I saw this band open for King Crimson on that band's east coast tour in 2021. They were awesome! And they keep learning new material. Thanks for posting.
I enjoyed every single second of this performance. It just doesn't get much better than this, with the band so tight, and each of them equally contributing. LOVE it!
Amazing, thank you so much for the upload! I just saw them this past Friday night in Fall River MA, these guys are amazing. Lots of highlights but hard to beat seeing Ray White sing the Society Pages > I'm a Beautiful Guy > Beauty Knows No Pain sequence from "You Are What You Is". Scott Thunes on bass was an absolute beast all night too.
I love all these guys of course. Especially Keneally. I wish Dweezil was involved. Dweezil’s band does zappa songs incredibly well too. If they could combine. Holy shit that would be rad. I saw Keneally at a show at baked potato before this zappa band started up and I was in shock when he said dweezil wasn’t in the band. He did say that he’s welcome to hop up anytime though. So who knows what that’s all about. Trust stuff I think.
Dweezil has been dormant since Covid, I know he was trying to sell stuff through his website but other than that I’m not really sure what’s been holding him back from touring. Maybe he was tired of paying tax to the family trust? Or maybe he’s just playing it safe.
@@jasonweinberg932 he’s allowed to play the tunes he just can’t call it zappa plays zappa, and I’m sure he has limits to what he can do and or pocket wirh merch and all that. I’d like to see Dweezil get out there and do his own music too though. So we’ll see.
Somewhat of a Goats Head Soup view While visually entertaining, the foot of the stage Audience Cell Video angle frequently tends to sound like "vocal mud" with deep layered instrumentation floating to the top of the mud. We can see and hear some tasty isolated Jamie Kime throughout. An example where things turn out very well, Travers, Thunes and Kime sound wonderful on the instrumental section of Orange County Lumber Truck. Surely fun to watch. Hope you had a blast. Edit Note: I am always asking myself when I take and share videos. At what point is it too much, where the video work could misrepresent artistic rights and the rights of the performers. What's the line between giving it all away, what inferior elements of a fan cell phone video shake the tree of balance of sharing a video that not only lacks pro shoot standards but lacks the sonic elements of what that band delivers. Certainly criticism of this regard can be placed in what I have shared but my inner voice tries to draw the line. I would never have my TH-cam account attempt to make a penny from stream views but over saturating the web with entire performances could have many questionable elements. It's not as if The Zappa Band are as strict as King Crimson but Full Shows are very questionable. Many ingredients in this Goats Head Soup, too many questionable ingredients.

Awesome talent. Enjoyed it.
Mike Keneally is really playing here with this band, trust me.

Meh
The blend of Ray's warm and Bob's high vocals is one the most beautiful things ever 🙂
Can you imagine, Zappa Plays Fall River?
What a wonderful band. What a fine bunch of musishanins
Going to see these guys tonight in New Hampshire. Last show of the tour!
Enjoy!
Damn it, I didn't know they were playing there. Would have loved to seen this show. It's incredible how talented they are.
This is awesome!
Awesome !!!
Sufficiently-monstro band.
This is way better than ZPZ! Please ignore my last comment regarding Scott Thunes...
Thank you, Winston.
Awe.
I love this!!!
I partied with Ray and Ike and a few other original Mothers there a few years ago!
scott brought me here
Nice Fing Setlist

Thanks for this. I made The Birchmere (amazing!) but not this one.
Someone needs to tell the lighting guy to go pee-pee "BEFORE" the show starts. 🤪

Number 2 is such a beautiful composition. Why didn't Zappa release it?
th-cam.com/video/LizpkpmGqrs/w-d-xo.html
He did. It’s on Them or Us.
Nope. You probably mean Sinister Footwear 2nd movement
@@Zappafantrust nope I mean Marqueson’s Chicken. It’s on Them or Us.
Okay, but I was talking about number 2 which has nothing to do with Marqueson's Chicken
Scott Thunes psychotic playground ,,
meaning?

Scott Thunes ,,,, I meant that in a good way, playing bass like a mad man, and conducting the orchestra, more like a band name alert
@@philwells7674 ah. 'cause Frank's original meaning was far less positive. Thanks!
I wish they would get a better bass player. Ruins it for me personally.
If he passed Zappa's audition he's OK with me.
