Hey @cloudplays, thanks for shouting out my Cryo post. There's definitely room to add cold weapons into the game, it's the one main status effect thats missing IMO. As for how it could function, the comment section basically agreed that slow would be nice, but the cold should introduce the armor defuff (from acid rain) into our arsenal. Cold makes metals more brittle, hence making them less effective. Overall, lower enemy armor by one like going from AP4 to AP3 temporarily. Definitely on my list for 2025 too!
They should have General Brasch issue critical updates on the current MO (war effort) and add incentives to rotate to the best option available (stratagem provisioning or maybe even a slight exp boost)
Short story overview: New update is stealth fixes, added a gambit notification in the game to let people know about that feature. Jitter scope got fixed too.
Until AH puts the Gambit and Supply Line narrative into one of the 'Brasch Tactics' video shorts on the ship video screens, no-one will learn the strategies. Players already state that they don't read the text dispatches, nice try as it was though. The fact that we had this Gambit and didn't get even a fraction of the players paying attention shows that the message does not get across, mixed with players that are not interested in the overall war narrative either, showing that they still outnumber those players that do by a considerable amount.

@@SchproemftellThey should make it that the gas thrower emit a cloud of gass similar to gas grenade. it only works if you keep spraying on the directly. There is no aoe effect
I would love to see a resupply pod for vehicles. Add a hatch to the frv and mechs. The ammo that drops from the pod has to be carried and loaded into said hatch like the artillery. I think this would be amazing to have.
Yesterday everyone proved how brainless this community is. 20k+ players doing defense while THE GAME TOLD YOU TO DO GAMBIT. Not even with the game telling people where to go do people understand anything. Amazing.
Crying can make enemies brittle. Knocking them down an armor level. Then again, we could have added that to the orbits gas strike. I guess it would make a little different. Maybe slow the enemy moment as well since it’s not directly lethal. Still can use an application to keep the heat off.
I’m personally at the point where they are just picking from the community’s opinions and idk bikes and cryo weapons sound cool and all but it doesn’t feel like that’s what we need those things will be like the car it’s available but not everyone uses it I don’t even know what would be good for the game at this point just feel like the statgems everyone wants are the fun ones and not the more useful ones only useful thing the bike will be for getting super credits I don’t see how a bike will make the game better what we need is lore because literally if it wasn’t to all the past people playing the game we would have no clue on what is this game but what they are telling us in game which is damn near nothing and personally I don’t like to see the game have so much character and have no lore in game
I’d love a healing support weapon that sprays stim chems to heal other divers and “technically” heal enemies so you would have to be careful with when and how you spray it
There should be a cryo armor effect that speeds up cooldown or increases capacity of heat buildup weapons, with the ability to call an ice strategem on yourself to cool the player off
People are still ignoring how the Gambit works. When Heeth was a Defence campaign there were over 30,000 on the planet but as soon as Cirrus became under attack Heeth dropped down to around 12,000 & Cirrus over 30,000.
I think adding an indicator like two playing cards over a planet that can be a gambit planet would help tremendously with visibility on the opportunity. To many people ignore reading about gambits unless there is a clear sign over a planet to catch their eye. Also have it when you hover over the planet it explains the gambit like the defense operations do. (Personally I don't need this info but so many people ignore it because they think there would be a clear sign)
We need some white phosphorus callins. Causes toxic burning smoke and sets organics or lightly armored things on fire OR Thermobaric weapons, which could be especially juicy
I would like the cryo effect to put out those napalm fire on extraction or create a zone of lower temp on planets like hellmirer so weapons would not overheat as bad
I like the idea of cryo weapons ... i also "like" that they not only freeze enrmies but divers and the ground alike so that we might slip and fall/ragdoll on these flash freezed surfaces
Please give the WASP a laser guided mode for the artillery! >.< Would really kick as$ *Cryo* Effect should make frozen enemies brittle, EG.. Charger leg frozen.. Limping around.. walk up and hit it with a melee weapon leg shatters to pieces / shoot it even with light armor pen.. Shatter! frozen parts should take WAY more damage regardless of armor. Maybe also.. if freeze and fire meet... EXPLOSION :D
To add to the idea of multiple different ammo types for the grenade launcher, just imagine how much damage you could dish out by combining them. Cover an area in both gas and fire, then unload explosives in there. Nothing would survive.
The PS5 Pro update is still bugged you have to switch from Performance Mode to Quality Mode and then back again otherwise the resolution won't change. I've posted this on your last video and no they have not fixed it with this patch. You have to switch between the modes everytime you start the game otherwise the resolution won't change. TBH pretty underwhelming pro update (there's no enhanced label yet)...PSSR upscaling would have been great.
Still waiting on my western war bond. Could be called, “Wrangler of Tyranny”. Weapons would be a lever action that has high penetration, a dual pistol with medium penetration and a motorcycle stratagem. The booster would be “Fortune-Hunter” where every resource you collect is doubled (Includes, samples, requisition slips, medals and maybe Super Credits). And the outfits have to have a cowboy hat, come on.
I couldn't play the game for more than 5 minutes at a time before this update. To me it's an update the size of the entire game and I'm extremely grateful
For the cryo weapons. We already got those little plants on the ice planets that stun us and the bots, so I would assume that might be a good in-lore way to obtain them.
Something I hope they consider is making a form of the jump pack just a standard part of all armors and then making the backpack stratagem a more powerful version that would be comparable to the dark liquid version we briefly had last summer (eg longer jumps, much more rapid refresh). Maybe these two changes would be too powerful but personally I feel like having more mobility leads to more enjoyable gameplay.
Yeah, throw one cryogranate and the titan turns to ice and then shoot it with a senator and it blows to smithereens! Or throw a cryogranate on the ground and it turns to ice and all the enemies fall down unable to pass on. Should also add a comic sound for the titan slipping on the ice. I think that would be a hell of a lot of fun.
If cryo were to be a thing itd have to be support. Slows down the enemy and apply an effect like "brittle " that lowers the armor grade of fully frozen enemies.
I think Ceyo weapons would be sick if they are added to the game! If they are I think its effects should be a bit of affect the game, like for example it damages but not as much as fire, it slow enemies down to a halt but not instant like the arc thrower and when using the orbital and eagle variant it provides a weaker version of the smoke strikes + all the other effects
This game is more of an arcade game than anything close to a large scale war effort, I play every other day of the week and I don't feel like I make any difference on any situation of liberation or defense when I complete a 3 mission operation, it's all scripted by devs, i've been stuck on full medals for 6 months now and so many major orders given me nothing because of it. I was trying to grind super credits for that new killzone assault rifle, so close to getting it, gets wiped from the store...
it's scripted but scripted more like a TTRPG(ex: D&D, Mothership, LancerRPG, PATROL) rather than a 100% railroaded script. JOEL also respects this with the Jet Brigade "health pool" being manually adjusted each invasion in proportion to how hard players fought them as if JOEL was a GM for a TTRPG. Also keep an eye out for planets with 0% decay rates since the differences you make there each operation actually stick around for longer regardless of how many players are there. ...but yes CCO Pilestedt does want the game to have an arcadey feel at least according to his HD1 interviews.
I only answer sos dives. So I play in all kinds of stuff. It’s never boring and you get to dive with all kinds of divers. Heck set it down to level four and you get to dive with so many new divers. They are almost always nice and great for help. When you come in and clear a swarm for them. Help them compete missions. They are really grateful. I like helping newer players.
I feel like there's more to the patch than what's being said. Like they've put in the next few story beats in for us to eventually get to and what's new will show up later.
"Catalog that will benefit a lot of players" Paraphrased. From the player/meta standpoint, this is vital, as it allows the playerbase to better tackle the major orders in defending against attacks and invasions, allowing for us players to make a real difference in the map liberation, as well as allowing the devs to plan out orders to make the enemy factions' retaliation strikes and assaults feel more organic. We cut off a two-prong attack via a gambit, well the enemy tries to counter with their own to cut off our new gains! It could really make for some interesting narrative choices as the devs start dealing with a playerbase that fights in a more strategic manner. From a lore/in-game standpoint, leaving the ideas of gambits and other things to the helldivers to figure out feels *COMPLETELY* in tune with how Super-Earth's government works, as it seems they barely train the Helldivers before sending them into the slaughter with their equipment (case in point, the manual for how to drive the FRV). They're just throwing us at the enemy like we're the Imperial Guard from WH40K, hoping we crush the enemy under a hail of bullets, bombs and warm bodies. Whether Super Earth will wise up about letting so many soldiers be slain and depleting their defenses or not....is in the clouds.
Either I'm doing something wrong or this update will fix what's wrong with my game I have no audio through the TV only when I plug in my headset do I have audio and it's on a PS5 sometimes I like to play just with the audio coming from the TV and not always headphones wrapped around my head so this is kind of annoying
Hi you need to switch between the two graphic modes (from Performance to Quality and Back to Performance) and unfortunately you have to do this everytime you start the game since it's bugged at the moment. But then you see big improvement in sharpness and clarity! Still additional PSSR support would have been great!
I'd like to know when they'll fix the communications wheel, causing my character to freeze up on ps5. Every single time. It's unusable. It's very frustrating. Oh, and the constant disconnects are not just against Illuminate. It's very bad against bots. Happens several times per hour.
As far as the PRO version goes. I noticed the resolution stays WHEN the game has almost any setting changed. Including changing the game brightness, it adjusts itself. I'm pretty sure they already said they were gonna do a PRO patch awhile back too. I HOPE
I'm going to try that since as of now I need to change it everytime (from Performance to Quality and back to Performance) when I start the game. Thanks!
I still have reason to believe it could do more than just a resolution and frame rate adjustment. The PC version has a lot going on that I think the ps5 pro could handle.
I swear flamethrower is broke. I dont think my feet can catch on fire if my gun end is much further out from my feet unless im pointing down at 90 degrees
Cryo weapons should slow enemies and then eventually freeze them and when they are shattered it could work similar to shrapnel to the surrounding enemies
I noticed yesterday the personal shield packs situation or something has been turned down.. one of my favourite changes makes things so much easier to see That said I still can’t keep a lobby from crashing to save my life, but screw it
Gas weapons should lower the armor rating of enemies. It would actually give gas a massive increase to the utility it brings a team. Allowing someone with a light penetration weapon to fight enemies with formerly medium armor would be game changing, especially for the dog breath backpack. The weapon says it’s caustic which means it is highly corrosive, so it would make sense for armor to be damaged by it

Gas nade launcher would be really good but it would also make the sterilizer even more obsolete than it already is
not if u make the steriliser anti tank tier pen and also affect big enemies, while keeping the gas launcher to medium and some tanks weakspots.
CRYO enacts the Slow* and Brittle* status effects. Brittle* reduces armor penetration requirement by making the armor brittle due to extreme cold.
They should have General Brasch issue critical updates on the current MO (war effort) and add incentives to rotate to the best option available (stratagem provisioning or maybe even a slight exp boost)
Liberating HEETH would end the current Terminid attacks upon both CIRRUS and ANGEL'S VENTURE.
These players cant listen or read.
I only want cryo weapons so we can ask for the Helghast winter outfit with the fur collar and inverted chevron painted on the helmet. Looks so good
Need armor where you can dive 50% farther and take 50% less fall damage
Short story overview: New update is stealth fixes, added a gambit notification in the game to let people know about that feature. Jitter scope got fixed too.
I just want a mech with a jump pack and/or mech with deployable cover for those who don't use mechs or don't have any yet.
HQ: "Gambit available"...
Bug divers: "DUUUUURP🤤 but i like the weather on this planet better" ... 😂
Cryo grenade would be dope as hell
3:00 I love that AT emplacement. There's a squid ship that doesn't even get to do it's flare-out. It just comes straight down to crash land on top of the pile.
Makes me laugh every time.
let them fix the issus with gas weapons first, they are so inconsistent
How so ? ... not tryin to bullshit here i just find them relatively consistent in what they do Confusing the Enemies and clearing out chaff though i must admit i haven't used zhe Gas thrower in a while
The guard dog should just move on to a new enemy after a few seconds, otherwise they're fine
@@SchproemftellThey should make it that the gas thrower emit a cloud of gass similar to gas grenade. it only works if you keep spraying on the directly. There is no aoe effect
Ill have to agree, the only thing i feel works is the orbital gas. The thrower is a bit underwhelming and the dog just doesnt do enough with gas.
@@kjordhenriquez3799 it’s bad. Nobody uses it. It’s true.
I would love to see a resupply pod for vehicles. Add a hatch to the frv and mechs. The ammo that drops from the pod has to be carried and loaded into said hatch like the artillery. I think this would be amazing to have.
join the helldivers
Welcome back man, hope you had lots of fun and good times in romania
Yesterday everyone proved how brainless this community is. 20k+ players doing defense while THE GAME TOLD YOU TO DO GAMBIT. Not even with the game telling people where to go do people understand anything. Amazing.
I mainly answer sos dives. So I play what others play and want help.
Same; I always log in and answer few sos signals
Same is still happening 30k on Defense only 7k on Gambit
@@shurikencookies LOL, and it will keep happening. But hey "it's just a game" so it's ok to suck at it, right? Mediocrity is rampant everywhere...
7:01 give him the hug man 😢
Bro went to the other guy to get some love 😂
Crying can make enemies brittle.
Knocking them down an armor level.
Then again, we could have added that to the orbits gas strike.
I guess it would make a little different.
Maybe slow the enemy moment as well since it’s not directly lethal. Still can use an application to keep the heat off.
RIP Martel. All that work for NOTHING
I’d love a healing support weapon that sprays stim chems to heal other divers and “technically” heal enemies so you would have to be careful with when and how you spray it
@Cloudplay awesome video 💯
(Personally I don't need this info but so many people ignore it because they think there would be a clear sign)
so that aiming jitter was a bug?
I thought my GPU was struggling with the addition of the illuminates so I set everything to low...
We need some white phosphorus callins. Causes toxic burning smoke and sets organics or lightly armored things on fire
OR
Thermobaric weapons, which could be especially juicy
we have the gas strike alr for the first one
I would like the cryo effect to put out those napalm fire on extraction or create a zone of lower temp on planets like hellmirer so weapons would not overheat as bad
I like the idea of cryo weapons ... i also "like" that they not only freeze enrmies but divers and the ground alike so that we might slip and fall/ragdoll on these flash freezed surfaces
Please give the WASP a laser guided mode for the artillery! >.<
Would really kick as$
*Cryo* Effect should make frozen enemies brittle, EG..
Poor guy just wanted a hug and you denied him that!
Flamethrower mech.
Cryo weapons lol wtf why would you even think of this. If things like that and mod support happen I'm done with helldivers crossplay.
Ice? Cryo? Where’s my Wizard Divers at yo!?
Fire, ice, lightning weapons, have no idea how you'd add wind or air based weaponry, but if its possible, full elemental wizards ftw
Bruh 22gb update and it’s literally nothing..
FOR HELP WITH THE GAMBITS THERE SHOULD BE A GOLD ICON OVER PLANETS LIKE THE MO PLANETS SO IT VISUALLY STICKS OUT
Leaving the tiny piece of eggshell in the egg after cracking it is super democratic!!!!.
I just got a Pro yesterday and did notice the better quality.
Particularly when youre looking at the armors and weapons, you can see more detail.
I feel like there's more to the patch than what's being said. Like they've put in the next few story beats in for us to eventually get to and what's new will show up later.
I've been asking for cryo weapons from day 1. They already use cryo tech to keep the Helldivers in stasis. So you know they would weaponize it.
I'd like a cyro weapon mechanic that applies a brittle effect on the armored enemies. Ex an armor 6 enemy becoming and armor 4
Electricity, Fire. Gas, Cryo. Hell yeah if.
Need new warbond
Give it a few more weeks. It’ll come
Badly
@@ratchet1122few weeks????? 😰
@@skylerspurlock4755 Stuff takes time to make, chief.
We JUST got one last month with a phat update and new faction on top. Calm down.
Cryo should be devastating on a cold planet. Super freeze an area the size of gas, titans and chargers froze solid and you can run up them.
Cryo could slow down enemies, and thought it doesn't do alot of damage, it could temporarily lower the amour class of the frozen enemy
Whether Super Earth will wise up about letting so many soldiers be slain and depleting their defenses or not....is in the clouds.
did they lower the ammo for the manned turrets?
I just want to be able to give people stims with my supply backpack. I hope they fix that soon.
damn divers. remember when the game dropped and heeth was one of the first planets you could dive on. good times
Looking at the rotation of the Super Store, do you guys think the Killzone collab page 1 will be in rotation again or was it a limited time FOMO?
would be neat if they gave the Grenades a shaped charge mode to deal with heavier armor like the Harvesters.
Either I'm doing something wrong or this update will fix what's wrong with my game I have no audio through the TV only when I plug in my headset do I have audio and it's on a PS5 sometimes I like to play just with the audio coming from the TV and not always headphones wrapped around my head so this is kind of annoying
If every weapon was perfect.. yeah it would be fun but only for a while. I think what makes the game fun is every weapon isn't perfect.
Exactly. It’s a crap shoot.
I play on ps5 Pro, and I've not noticed anything different
They should rework some of the polar patriot warbond especially the armor has to have a passive for snow planets
I swear flamethrower is broke. I dont think my feet can catch on fire if my gun end is much further out from my feet unless im pointing down at 90 degrees
I'm curious if they will give us more things to unlock
Like after lvl 25
Could have a actual freeze ray have a sycthe alt weapon there are some lasers that induce freezing temperatures irl
Cryo weapons should slow enemies and then eventually freeze them and when they are shattered it could work similar to shrapnel to the surrounding enemies
I noticed yesterday the personal shield packs situation or something has been turned down.. one of my favourite changes makes things so much easier to see
That said I still can’t keep a lobby from crashing to save my life, but screw it
Gas weapons should lower the armor rating of enemies. It would actually give gas a massive increase to the utility it brings a team. Allowing someone with a light penetration weapon to fight enemies with formerly medium armor would be game changing, especially for the dog breath backpack. The weapon says it’s caustic which means it is highly corrosive, so it would make sense for armor to be damaged by it
Gas orbital against the bugs is awesome. I use it a lot.
