I have seen rain clouds around the Hill Cumorah pageant with a hole where you could see the stars above the hill. the pageant could happen despite rain clouds all around.
That is a remarkable story. I think it is on the same level as the miracle of the sea gulls eating all those crickets to save the crops of the Mormon Pioneers. That is such a cool story. Thanks for sharing it.
There are now so many great temple stories. Maybe going forward you can create playlists with stories of similar topics? Glad to see the channel growing steadily.
Years ago when I lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho... We rarely get tornadoes let alone tornado warnings, but I remember one day as I was headed to Deseret Book to get more garments, and keep in mind the temple was just across the street from Deseret Book. It was a stormy day and I remember it was an eerie feeling as I got out of my vehicle in the storm, I looked across the street towards the temple and immediately looked up to above the temple. There were very dark clouds and they were different looking than typical storm clouds. Right above the temple was what I can only describe as appearing to be the start of a giant funnel cloud. I immediately started to pray but on the move and kept my plans to go buy my garments. I wasn't the only one that witnessed this as there were other people around me coming in and out of the store and some were on the temple grounds. Normally, I would've been scared and gone back home, but I got out of my vehicle and went in to the store to purchase garments. I did because I felt everyone who was outside and saw the funnel cloud looming over the temple all prayed for protection of the temple and the area. I felt the power of community prayer that day overpower a storm. I came out of the store with my garments in hand and the funnel cloud was gone. I will never forget seeing or feeling that!
When my mother as an adult convert was baptized in Japan in 1950, there were no LDS meetinghouses built by the Church with a baptismal font. The missionaries organized a train trip from Nagoya city to an inn next to a river in the Japan Alps of Nagano prefecture, with the plan to perform the several baptisms in a shallow place in the river. However, when they got to the inn, it started raining heavily. The missionaries, members, and converts knelt together and prayed for the rain to stop so they could safely walk down to the river bank and conduct the baptisms. The rain soon parted, with sun shining on the inn and the river, but continuing all around the area. They went ahead and walked to the river and performed each baptism, with the sun shining as the ordinances were conducted and everyone could hear. When the last baptism was completed, the rain closed in drenching everyone, but by then half the people were already soaked from the river, and they happily made their way back to the inn and changed into dry clothes for the train ride back. These kinds of weather miracles do happen. At the same time, it seems to me that the contractor building the Saratoga Springs Temple should have concentrated on building the roof before installing interior elements that would be adversely affected by rain. I am guessing that the story was actually more complicated as to why a rainstorm would adversely affect the construction, and not simply the builders just risking the loss of materials and labor because of failing to complete the roof in proper order. The Church has very capable architects and builders who work on temples with high quality materials, and I have a hard time believing that there was some recklessness by the builders that created the crisis solved by this miracle. My guess is that an outside materials supplier failed to make timely delivery of some roof components.
It’s true, we don’t know all the details of why it was the way it was. It was being build during Covid, so that could explain suppliers not sending materials. I’m sure there are more layers to the story. I love that Heavenly Father helps, sometimes in these big, very clear ways! It’s pretty amazing!
Some time you should check out the story of the Columbus Ohio Temple. President Hinkley's choice of it's location was confusing to us. There was a beautiful spot by our new Stake Center. But he chose a low laying location in a mostly industrial area with just a small road that crossed in front of a chapel. During researching the genealogy of the land it turned out that a young girl grew up on that piece of land who later moved to Mentor, Ohio. Her name was Julia Clapp. She passed away giving birth to twins. It turned out her twins were given to Joseph and Emma Smith.
That is amazing! I’ve never heard of that story!! I’m going to try to find it! If you have any books or articles about it, I’d love it to learn more! Thank you, for sharing it, I’m so excited to learn more!!❤️❤️
@@helenlehman2939 Beautiful! Btw it’s called a title search & I’m so grateful we have access to all these records that help us do the Lord’s work. 🙏🏻❤️ They also increase our faith if we let them. Awesome stories, thank you!❤️
I very much enjoyed the message of this video, but I wish you had not hurried the description so much. It made it hard for my slow brain to follow what you were saying. That being said, thank you so much for the video. Miracles are real and we can see them in our lives if we trust Heavenly Father and exercise faith in Him.
We performed in the Nauvoo pageant in 2023. I kept hearing storms go around the pageant. I thought it was cool, but didn't expect I would see it. While we were there we witnessed 4 times the weather literally split in the same way. I have video of the weather tracking monitor in the mic room showing the clouds split right over Nauvoo. I stood in awe every time.
@@heatherdeberry8049 , generally, the Moroni statues point towards the entrance of the individual temple. So they will be in several directions as you go to various temples.
I'm not sure, the missionaries did say that Saratoga Springs Temple would be the last temple with and Angel Moroni, that made me a little sad. We love those angles!
What a story! A true miracle of the storm... Great job! I will add that you'll have to change your intro from "5-minute stories", to 'short stories'. 😁😁 On a lot of your videos, you've got too much good information to squeeze into 5 minutes. I look forward to your future videos, as well.
We’re told to expect miracles, and when they happen “we stand all amazed”. What a very beautiful story.
It is truly amazing! I love seeing these miracles from heaven!❤️❤️

Elder Featherstone spoke about temples being refuges in storms.

No way! That is incredible! I love hearing these stories! God truly is a God of miracles!
We have the priesthood and we need the faith to use it according to God's will. This should not be unusual.
You are correct, more faith would be the answer, but it is hard. That is why sharing these stories of miracles helps.
Ever hear why the angel Moroni is pointed northward instead of east at SS temple? I’ve never been told why.

There are No coincidences.
I agree! I love seeing how the Lord works, it is so amazing!!
Another temple seemingly modeled after the Idaho Falls Temple. I am seeing more and more of these temples built after that model.
