Dragonflight is not the reason for the current quality of the game, only benefiting from it, meanwhile TBC builded the foundation for future expantions and it had a much better story. Dragonflight is a mid expantion that looks good only because for the past 4 years prior to it you were forced to play some of the worst content I have ever seen be released for a game. P.S. this is my oppinion, I don't play the game, just follow the news for it and watch some content from time to time, because my friends play it and I have a lot of fun seeing what are they going to screw up next. like W3 Reforged, witch my friend pre-purchased and it got delayed, then delayed again, and again, and when it was fianlly released it was literally unplayable for the first 6 months. I think WOW is not very optimised, even in the current state of retail, the mechanics are stale and repetative with no real challange or skill to them (auto aim, point-click abilities) and there is zero to none strategy in the gameplay. The world-building and character progresion are fun, but grindy, repetetive, and in the end your character progresion gets deleted and none of the achievements are valueable or special to care, the collection never ends and the best items now are in the store for money. The game is build in a way, the more you progress - the worse you get as a player (stat-based progress).

But Dragonflight is more casually fun, tbh I just like Dragon riding around 😂😂 I was hardcore in TBC to WOD and I used to get burnt out, but with Dragonflight I play it quite casually. You're probably one of the ones who disliked it just because of Pandas...literally everything about MoP.was great. Peak PVP...damn good raids...storyline, unmatched... only issue was the length of SoO timeline wise
ok a few things by that metric was shadowlands the best? it was the fastest selling wow expansion of all time. second ranked to BFA for pre sales. also Day one sales for MoP were .3 mill greater than that of TBC and only .1Mill lower than that of Wrath. Such a wild metric to go off of and also not be accurate.. Mind you data shown for these is based off physical copies. Least not forget that MOST people up until cata were buying Physical where surely by cata launch people were accustom to digital purchases. At least that's how i went about it and friends and family at the time - Also. We can see more validation by this based on the Sub numbers which we used to have at the time - and leading up to MoP the active subs broke its record of 10 mill subs. It was meme'd ad nauseum but is HARDLY the flop critics seems to think people meme tf out of pandas. and then just ignore the great Hits it had like banger end game content if you want to play the game more than a month past each phase release, in addition to banger themes within the story, and easily the Best PvP. I thought the garrison idea was brilliant the way it made the player feel like a big shot, and have always found the Chinese pre-teen pandering of Pandaria pretty cringe.
@@The-Dom That's a great view actually. I was a BC starter also. WoD has some great raids. And it had my favourite villain, Garosh. So yeah, emotionally I rated WoD, but I also hated that I waited around for 1 year without a single update. I think a Remixed version of WoD could actually be amazing
