CLPR | TransForm 2019 | Day 1 | Panel 2 : Swati Bidhan Baruah

The Centre for Law and Policy Research held the 3rd edition of the International Conference on Transgender Rights and the Law on the 13th and 14th of September, 2019.
Swati Bidhan Baruah of the All Assam Transgender Association was the opening speaker on the second panel discussion of the day titled 'Intersectional Explorations : Transgender Rights in the North-East and Transpersons with Disability'.
Swati Baruah spoke at length about the process under the National Register of Citizens that posed severe challenges to the transgender community in Assam.
