I always saw this country as great, but the way it’s going now I can see the corruption everywhere. My husband and I have already talked, if this country continues how it’s going, we will be moving. My friend is from El Salvador and back in 2018 she said she felt she would never ever go back to visit their family because it was getting bad. She just went back again in 2023 and said it's the best she's ever seen it. She said she was able to go out past 6pm which was the first she's ever been able to in forever. God bless this man.

I was born in El Salvador, and fled with my family during the Civil War of 1980. I went back a few times, but never felt safe or free. I have not gone back to El Salvador in almost 20 years. I am hoping to return this year, because of what this man has done for the country. It is free and safe once again. My father would be so proud of his home country and name sake. I left El Salvador in 1986 because of the civil war. I never went back because of all the bad memories I went through. In the history of El Salvador, we never had a president doing his job. Today I am proud to say that Bukele was the answer to bring back hope and sanity to millions of salvadorians living in the US. Now, I feel safe coming back to visit families. Thank you my brother Nayib Bukele and May God keep you safe with your families…
Both my parents left in the 80s also. Now they are building their retirement home in El Salvador. They still cannot believe El Salvador is the way it is now. What I'm worried about is that Bukele probably might not run a 3rd time in 5 years.
