I'm 8 years in the future from when this was posted and im playing the remaster of ff8 and this is still the greatest rendition of Dont Be Afraid on youtube. Truly a masterpiece.
I've seen tons of remixes an re-orchestras. But this tops em all! Reason being is 1. You stay true to the piece yet still manage to make it sound original. 2. You replaced the artificial instruments with a full band and orchestra. And 3. Music like this puts a smile on people's faces no matter how many times they hear it. Regular musicians make regular music. But only true ARTISTS can re create a song into a true masterpiece! Excellent work. Well done.

This song was the thing that fascinated me most in my first play-through as a 10 year old kid. I'd hum the melody to myself and even to my friends to show its greatness :D Even heard it in dreams. And this is the best version ever.
for the remake we'll never ever get it sadly... I played FF7 Remake for my first FF, then I couldn't stand understanding nothing so I made FF7 and it was absolutely AMAZING. So I'm actually playing FF8 and I think it's very cool too but not enough popular to get such a treatment...

Looking back, FFVIII had one of the most epic normal battle theme songs. This is a timeless masterpiece.
