You picked up your rifle and ran after them. When you’ve reached the second floor, you see the same man with the suitcase and the werewolf knocks you out. Sorry if this wasn’t accurate. I tried my best to make it as accurate as I could...
the tension of battle..... the cries of war...... the sound of metal clashing and the dust in the air....... all this, explained in a single piece of music that describes how i felt playing this game the first time. hearing this for the first time. thank you for hitting me so hard with the nostalgia hammer. this song is a beautiful remix that expands my feelings on the original. thank you.
I remember being 7 years old and the demo for this game came with the Pizza Hut promotion they were doing. The demo disc even had Crash Bandicoot and all that good stuff. And the demo started with this scene and ended right up till elvoret pops up if Im correct. But every since I was little and watch my big brother play this game has been a part of my life. Every since we played it for the first time we were hooked. I think you again for you Jaron your hard work with us every song I hear it's like a trip back to my childhood something I cant buy no matter how much $. Nowadays my family is in shambles and my brothers hooked on drugs so it's always good to remember back to the simpler time thank you again sir or madam

This still gives me the chills, remember hearing this first time in 1999 on the Dollet mission. In fact I'm just about to finish the Steam version, haven't played VIII in ages.

Each final fantasy had its own purpose, 1 took a chance, 2 turned the pages, 3 perfecting the first, 4 Drew emotion, 5 Humor added, 6 Cue music and stir the pot, 7 Adapted to modern culture, 8 dash of romance make it real, 9 a return to basics, 10 remove liberation, add spoken word. 11 become the fantasy, 12 the endless fight. 13 intuative cinema. 14 become the fantasy again. 15 our hopes for the future.
tetsuya nomura stated that ff15 will open in a world like our own but the rest of he world will be more medieval, but with futuristic weaponry...he's always felt that's what FF has always been, and what it needs to return to. (btw nomura is a long-time member of FF, but has been more sideline recently).
I'd only say the percussion is really lacking except for the snare when it kicks in. That intro needs cymbals all up the ying yang! The cymbals that are here are really quiet. Otherwise, the orchestration is awesome.
This was always an exiting part for me. I'm done grinding to get my Abilities and junctioned magic, and ready to rape every Galbadian soldier in one strike. And destroy that goddamn spider mech. Hated that thing since the demo first came out, and I feel so happy destroying it. This does have an epic sound to it that almost sounds frantic, but confidant at the same time... Anxiety, perhaps, of the first real mission they are on, even if it's technically training?
just spent a week in austria on a skitrip.. played the PSP with Final Fantasy VIII , and managed to complete the entire game.. then i wonderede... wouldnt it be cool if someone made the soundtrack into an orchestra version.. AND HERE YA GO.. so awesome!
you wont be disappointed chrono T is a really great game. I cant think of any bad points about it. I also love the fact that it doesn't have random battle feature like final fantasy
The Environment of ff viii was the best in the franchise! I love this game. I rebuyed it so often. First 2 Times for ps one then i Had it for psp and now for ps3

The first I played was VII. I love VIII most. Somehow Squall's story appealed to me most at the time of playing. Love VII, VIII, IX and VI though :) So many precious and loved memories.
There's great mods for FFVIII Steam version, and one of the modding tools is there to replace the crappy midi files with whatever the hell you want. I'm actually here to find replacement tracks and put them into my FF8 HD before I play it.
Behemothokun Oh yeah, I ended up looking in the FF7 section and was shocked at what I'd found. I used a program called 7th Heaven which basically lets you pick and choose mods without a hard install or overwrite. They've got a gameplay mod called New Threat that alters every boss and enemy in the game, keeps the party member count at 9 at endgame, and introduces over 100 new enemies into the game. It's called New Threat because Cloud's cell rings when you get to the bottom of the North Crater, and a whole new level of endgame becomes available. Combine that with Character Overhaul, the remastered soundtrack, highdef backgrounds, retextured world map, and retextured battlefields for the best possible experience with the game. I used to have FF7 near the bottom of my list in which FF's I actually liked because it was so damn easy. New Threat is a breath of fresh air, totally cannot recommend trying it enough.
Riketz this reminds me, I need to play FF7 again and try these mods. I think of the PS1 FFs, FF7 is the one I played the least because almost everytime I decided to play a FF, I choose FF8 or 9 because I like them more. But FF8 has the same problem with being too easy, it's maybe even the easiest game in the series, but I play them for the story and characters mainly so I can live with that. either way, there is quite some time to kill until FF15 comes along, which I hope will be awesome. It looks promising at least.
Behemothokun Yeah, I'm really hoping 15 breaks the modern FF trend and tells the story in the correct order. The camping system seems like it'll promote more character interaction and give the player a better chance to get to know the characters. Beats the hell out of cutscene bombardment while keeping it from feeling too light. Also, that vide of Ramuh being summoned got me pretty hyped. Combat reminds me of Type-0, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Also, the 7th Heaven Mod Loader is likely going to see a big update in a couple of weeks, with an enhanced version of New Threat. Considering putting up a video of recommended mods and load order for the occasion and streaming a playthrough. I've only played New Threat 1.2, and it's nearly up to 1.4. Final planned version is 1.5, which will feature a postgame and NG+. I can really only compare it to the Return of the Dark Sorceror FF6 mod.
yeah I know which part, I called him froga since I accidently added an extra 'a' at the end. i think those characters in CT are special, including magus which you know what I mean when you get further into the game. I liked his battle theme too
This song is way WAY better then the original. However you should try the deleted soundtracks of FF8 Like "Raid on Dollet" for example. It was removed from the main game due to fears of being sued. It would sound great remasterd.
The first few bars of the main theme are a bit light on the percussion, though. Or maybe I've just listened the Marc Papeghin version too much. Great work anyway.

there is that but he probably doesnt wanna drop 20 bucks, right now FFVIII has the same issues VII did kinda, needs the audio to PS quality, sound issues with quetzlcotl and pheonix being swapped and textures need some polishing honestly, granted you can use sweet FX to give yourself CRT lines to fix it, but other then that,

ryokoshii Dude if like myself you own the original. There's no shame in my opinion, in using ePSXe and getting an ISO. You're legally entitled to it. Thats what I do when I wanna play FF now as my PSX is busted. If you feel cheap using an ISO, then you can just put the disc in your PC and it will read off that. Best thing, no Memory Card required :)

It was a good game, but not THAT good. Just because you have nostalgic connections with it doesn't make it good. The battle system was broken and the plot was extremely cluttered towards the end. It was still a good game, and far better than the newer FFs still.

FF8 got me through the hardest chunk of my schooling. I wouldn’t have got through it w/o FF8.

Grzegorz Konka squalls problems are much more human and closely resembles peoples issues IRL. FF8 was one step away from being too realistic
