I honestly did not expect to like a metal version of Kate Bush's beautiful song. To my own surprise, though, I do like this. It's certainly the most interesting cover I've found out of eight or nine so far. Well done.
If you don't know Jorn, I suggest you listen to his album "Heavy Rock Radio", where this cover is from. It's a covers album, and it is amazing how he makes the songs his own, while respecting their original spirit. His version of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is fantastic, and John Farham's "You're The Voice" is truly something.
@@TheOriginalDroidfirst of all Jorn is Norwegian not swedish. Secondly I don't think he is considered famous in the hard rock industry considering how great his vocals and music are.
Best part = Jorn did this like 7 YEARS AGO now... So ST is giving more attention to Jorn too 🤘 Now go check out many of the amazing Jorn tributes & originals❣️
Exactly my thoughts. He is wasting time with covers and his less than original attempt at "solo" music. He needs to team up with Tore Østby or Viggo Lofstad and make a kick ass project.
I love the original by Kate Bush. Heard a remake done by a dance music artist years ago but didn't believe they did it justice. I think it's safe to say Jorn's version does! This is awesome!!!
It doesn't hurt me. Do you want to feel how it feels? Do you want to know that it doesn't hurt me? Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making? You, it's you and me. This is probably the best metal cover of this song I’ve heard. Probably because it was made before Stranger things made it popular again and all the TH-cam artists made a money grab with this song. You can tell this dude actually really enjoyed this song.
The fact I was introduced to Jorns stuff thru Pentakill only makes this better, I can only hear karthus belting out this incredibly emotional song. I love this
I can only hear this as the original, naturally due to finding it before I found out about Kate's version. I hope that Stranger Things's feature ends up giving Jorn's version some love as well as it did to Kate's
Mr. Lande. I AM a Kate Bush fan. Since 1979. I SAW Kate Bush in London in Sept. 2014. So from someone who's opinion matters on this..... WELL DONE! I LOVED this version.
Exceptional! Jorn Lande does a great job with this cover! Next to Rolf Scheepers(Primal Fear), Frank Dimino, Rob Halford, and Jeff Scott Soto, he has one of the best voices in Rock/metal!
This is like the best workout song ever! I loop this on repeat when I'm walking around the track at the park and I feel like freaking Thor marching on Valhalla. 😂😂😂
I UTTERLY LOVE this metal version of Kate Bush's Running Up The Hill. It has become one of my favs and I never get tired of listening to it. Jôrn Lande's voice has something really special that pierces through to the deepest corner of my heart every single time I listen to this song. Nevertheless, I owe Kate Bush's version of the song the fact of discovering Jorn's music.
How cool would it have been to bring this more powerful metal version to those final fight scenes.they could have easily incorporated Eddie into the storyline since everyone knows he's totally into metal. It could have been his big contribution at the end to channel this more powerful version to help finally defeat vecna, or something to that effect. Even most of the fans who never heard this version would be pleasantly surprised by the edgier version since it still does justice to the original. Some covers try too hard to make it their own, so it can take longer to recognize the original song, but it's not the case with Jorn's badass version. There also should have been some Dio songs played along the way. If the writers and producers were flexible enough to allow Eddie to have that awesome Dio motif jacket, then they should have been fine with picking one of the multiple Dio songs that were perfect for this genre. So many of Dio's songs have themes very relevant to this type of Series with powerful lyrics, melodies & riffs
Yeah, maybe start a big fight sequence with kb's version then slowly mix the two together until it starts to get a bit intense kick in full on with Jorn's
Look 50 years of music exposure,my parents went to Woodstock ,,it's inspiration what he brings ,,wow ,he makes me brake out the charvels and 88 b.c rich gunslingers and cut loose ,,this man inspires me not just musically,,it lifts me!!! His voice is like a cast iron skillet Seasoned to profection,, I know who he is ,do you !!!???
just as some of you said, it IS a challenge to cover a pop song, like this. The challenging part was to create new, kick ass hard rock ideas, arrangement. Great melody was given already. Nice job! Jorn is great!!
I'm more of a folk/rock type of person, but I really, really enjoyed this. Fantastic job - a complete reinterpretation of the song. And talk about vocal chops!!
Jorn, great job. Your Voice still amazing 😮. Best regards from Portugal, from Classic Rage when we were in Tommy Newton studio ( Area 51). A long time ago. All the Best ; Rock On
Thank you Meg Myers for leading me to Jorn through your version of this song. My wife was laughing at me when I was singing this in my own metal version while listening to meg Myers version, I just knew listening to the lyrics that this song was metal.. Turns out it is !! Lol. Jorn Rocks !!!
A completely different approach for this song!!! I adore Kate's mystical and entrancing voice but come on, Jørn is a Norse Singing God!!! He's a power house and he made this beautiful song his own.
He could sing Mary had a little lamb and I would love it. I'd like to see him do some old Motown or some old straight up blues and see how it would come out. best singer of modern age, so consistent.
Erik Willms Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't aware of it... however, Sharon den Adel engages in even more excessive wailing in that song than Kate Bush ever did herself. Sorry, but she just reminded me of one of the many weaker Sirenia singers on that particular cover. 😉
I'm completely oblivious to the reason(s) for the Kate Bush song to be in the music charts again, but whatever, it's a good enough reason to want to listen to Jorn's excellent version again!
Alright, I KNEW I had heard a heavy cover of this song before covers starting popping up all over recently, but I didn't remember who did it! I found it!
The only rock/metal cover of this song that I like. All other TH-cam covers have whimpy vocals or seem forced. Kate Bush has powerhouse beefy pipes and none other covers bring it even close. Jorn does it great justice here.
I honestly did not expect to like a metal version of Kate Bush's beautiful song. To my own surprise, though, I do like this. It's certainly the most interesting cover I've found out of eight or nine so far. Well done.
Listen to the metal version of wuthering heights by a Brazilian power metal band Angra.
Listen to "within temptation" it's a much better version.

Yes!
Woow aa aa.
True!! He's the King Midas of hard rock.
Holy moly, this song was made for Jorn to cover. Fits so perfectly with his voice.
Couldn't agree more!
While I think the original is an awesome song (among the best songs I've ever heard) I can't stop listening to this cover. It's so beautiful
Super song. Super cover. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hopefully this will also be the break through for Jorn who seriously deserves way more credit for their hard work, talents and delicious music.

forever and ever!
Right now there is no better singer on earth!
He is just a miracle on Earth a bring back hope for pure rock and metal :)

Yes, but he needs to find a real band....And covers are nice but i'd like to hear new songs.
