Donald Trump said that smartest people in the world are not the most successful. It is the toughest people, the most tenacious people, the people who ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT GIVE UP.
What I learned is how similar what Robert does is to songwriting. My first real songwriting mentor asked me if I had written 100 songs yet. When I said no, he told me to go away and write at least 100 of them, and come back and show him number 101. (otherwise do not come back) He didn't even want to see me again before that time. I understood what he meant 100 songs later, and I REALLY understand it now that I have written over 1,000 of them in the last 35 years. You need to learn your craft. Losers refuse to do this, because it's not sexy, it's not fun, and it basically SUCKS... but it WORKS.

For me it was the number 4. Be a team player. We are so confused out there, thinking we can make it alone for ourselves. We need to find the best people around us, learn from them and also work with them and achieve great things as team members.

This reminds me 10 months ago when I was so broke I could barely pay my bills. I remember taking the most important step in my life when I invested my last income with an experienced trader who worked with a Forex and cryptocurrency trading company. it took courage to know that investing was the right thing to do at the time.
My small investment of just $1500 in crypto trading has generated over $12,000 in barely 8weeks. Honestly, to be successful, you need to take a big step , that's where it all begins.
when you dont have a paycheck you'll get hungry and smarter and test of your character will you become a crook? will you become dishonest? will you cheat and steal? Or become a better human being?
Or maybe also: Will my kid starve? Or will I? Glorifying to refuse a paycheck can cost lives, there is no shame in being employed and building up from there without hitting rock bottom. It could actually be smarter even though the narrative is more boring. Besides: the same questions apply for becoming rich. Will you become a greedy crook or a better human being?

Learning is a part of school...even if you learn nothing during the classes, you are guaranteed to learn about social environments. If you are lazy in school, you will learn how to procrastinate and get away with it. If you cheat in school, you will learn to how to cheat and get away with it. On the flip-side, if you are diligent, you will learn how to maintain a busy and successful school schedule. All of the aforementioned transfer over to post-graduation life.
Thanks for great video! My take away and a motto I live by is, it's not a matter of "if I can obtain a specific goal, it's a matter of how & when." You gotta strategize, stay agile & be prepared to shift gears in order to reach your end goal. If you don't set goals, you can't hit any!
I learned a lot, some fav's: "you can’t do a good deal with a bad partner" • "I stand for financial education, keep it simple, teach people to manage their money" • Midas Touch using fingers on hand as reminder • Cashflow Quadrant • mindset of integrity, tenacity, team player, leadership, freedom as key value, keep on learning, appreciate others, find a mentor.
The hardest thing is to get going. That's when most people fail in our experience. Once you're in the flow it is hard and it is easy at the same time. If you ever ran your own business you know what I mean. It is the moment when all your plentiful ideas, interconnected as they are, have to start somewhere, get grip somewhere first and thereafter your efforts are turning into the flow state, where you work on many things simultaneously. It's like the tree at the rock face where you contemplate how it managed to make it there, but it did anyway. As soon as you have grip somewhere it all comes together. Not always nicely but good enough to carry on.

"Learn how to sell" from experience, I'm an engineer and I was convinced that this skill had nothing to do with my proffesion and after 8 years of experiences, I can tell you that it is Goddang important. Everything after college is selling! interactions with the management and clients, sell ideas and necessities they don't know they have yet to MAKE their business better.
The problem with "team" projects at school: group of 6, 2 are working their butts off and the rest wants to get the credit. Leadership should be taught in school, too.
Number 9 hit me too especially as i struggle with my bussiness relationships.i learnt about it being clear that there are wrong business partners time for the real search
# 4 and #8 "be a team player" "be a leader" ...... building a team that works together takes leadership, and that means to me knowing when to listen and pass ideas aroumd as well as make a decision for direction and listen more to make sure the team is onboard and it is the correct direction but ready to regroup and change directions as needed... they go together the way i see it. #BTA6

I agree with Robert on just about everything he says. I've had people who really were rock bottom terrible leaders as a civilian after my service, but, when I look back at my time in the Navy, and think about all I got out of the leadership I learned there, I realized how shit hot good the guys I served with were! Exceptionally good! I would recommend the military to any good person that wants to be next level awesome!

Learning is a part of school...even if you learn nothing during the classes, you are guaranteed to learn about social environments. If you are lazy in school, you will learn how to procrastinate and get away with it. If you cheat in school, you will learn to how to cheat and get away with it. On the flip-side, if you are diligent, you will learn how to maintain a busy and successful school schedule. All of the aforementioned transfer over to post-graduation life.
Thanks for great video! My take away and a motto I live by is, it's not a matter of "if I can obtain a specific goal, it's a matter of how & when." You gotta strategize, stay agile & be prepared to shift gears in order to reach your end goal. If you don't set goals, you can't hit any!

The hardest thing is to get going. That's when most people fail in our experience. Once you're in the flow it is hard and it is easy at the same time. If you ever ran your own business you know what I mean. It is the moment when all your plentiful ideas, interconnected as they are, have to start somewhere, get grip somewhere first and thereafter your efforts are turning into the flow state, where you work on many things simultaneously. It's like the tree at the rock face where you contemplate how it managed to make it there, but it did anyway. As soon as you have grip somewhere it all comes together. Not always nicely but good enough to carry on.

Evan, Thank you for these videos. I love them! I could relate to this one because I am also a veteran and struggling to get ahead. I agree with Robert on just about everything he says. I've had people who really were rock bottom terrible leaders as a civilian after my service, but, when I look back at my time in the Navy, and think about all I got out of the leadership I learned there, I realized how shit hot good the guys I served with were! Exceptionally good! I would recommend the military to any good person that wants to be next level awesome!
