“Hi, I’m looking for a new car”
“Okay have you a budget in mind.”
“Erm, it’s gotta be price rangey”
Haha 😂
Yeah I gotta admit price rangey doesn't mean anything 🤣 you can say my price range is 10-12k, or you can say my price range is 80-90k. But price rangey alone means nothing 🤣
Paul Wallace actually a very good guest for Lamborghini topics.
Who is Paul wallace ?
Agreed.
@@Taylor40667 @ supercarsoflondon
God please no
And F1
Tony saying how good a 2017 car is literally had Sam about to jump off a cliff. Hilarious backtracking.
the hand on his head, big sigh, and chuckle 😂
What time stamp?

Came for the podcast, stayed for the calves
Tony's "Oh mate no" at 48:43 when he sees the Morgan on the computer screen before Sam brings it up made me crack up!
Love that Tony embraces his inner Chav!
What’s a Chav (non Brit)
Epic from Lambo! Hope they never quit making these fantastic cars!
How about that the new Gordon Murray T50, anyone seen the video of that and the McLaren F1 on haggerty? Great piece with Henry Catchpole reviewing the two cars. The thing revs forever and sounds absolutely insane
You should have Misha on next time your at the ring or when he is in the UK, would be fascinating/funny to hear him and tony talk about the ring,
I was standing next to Tony’s Gt3 on the ring with him in it and I thought it wasn’t him 😂 🤦♂️
Tony is a hoot.... he obviously never went to school (for long) but somehow we know what he's talking about...
Ages ago you had Max Chilton on the show which I found really interesting to know what life outside of F1 was like. People with a similar racing background would be great to have on the show. Jamie Chadwick?
I agree Sam the Morgan is stunning. But they are only building 50 and they are all sold
Here in the US, I bought my 2017 X5M (567hp 4.8l V8) in 2022 for $26k. It was one owner with 55k miles. They’re such an insane value here.
I liked it so much that I went and grabbed a 2013 X5M (same engine, 555hp) a couple months ago to daily drive and keep miles off the ‘17. The ‘13 is a 2-owner with 68k miles and I only paid $18k!
For less than the cost of a new X5, I have two X5Ms with over 1100hp between them.
The 2013 looks expensive compared to the 17! What a deal that is
I love these chats guys 👌
Wet laps are great for learning, usually very quiet, just swap out the semi slicks and stay off the dry line, I need more wet laps but I also have too much fun on the dry 😂
Another great season, keep up the great work lads. 👍
Tony is an absolute Lad !!!
Modern cars are in a rabbit hole of performance, my car is 1500kg, 450hp manual and RWD, its a fairly simple thing, and yet way too fast for most British driving
I struggle to see the actual driving appeal of a 2 tonne barge with twice the power and AWD beyond bragging rights and drag racing at the lights
In Australia there is no insurance once you leave a designated public road or car park. Get stuck on a beach & the tide comes in or off road in the bush & you roll your car, let alone go on a racetrack & bin it - you’re on your own.
I’ve asked most of the insurance companies out here & they just give a chuckle & say we’ll insure your car no problems. Right up until you go through the gate from the car park onto the track or pit area - then your on your own 😮
They term it “Self Insurance”😳
I wold love to see Tony in a morgan. The 2 of you in 2 different morgans
Dont Usually Agree With Tony But It Definitely Starts At 300k Easy
The new Lamborghini is expected to be named Temerario
Lambor Huracan Tecnica is the supercar to have.
Last, best and rarest Huracan.
Last naturally aspirated Lamborghini.
Guaranteed future classic and with the hybrid replacement being so heavy and technical starting at over £300k list Tecnica values will only increase just like aventadors have
Great podcast. Look cool stuff on the way. Boxster Ev should be dropping son also.
Small point of correction is that the AMG One is not an N/A car. It’s also Turbo and Hybrid
Saw the Morgan being tested at Castle Combe - lovely piece of kit
38:37, GBP 309k is my guess for floor price.
Definitely would love to see the autoalex lot on as guests
Love you Sam ❤️
Great podcast again guys!
Also pretty sure the total out put of engine and electric motor will produce 789HP in the Huracan replacement. Not 789+148
If you convert 800cv to horsepower that is the horsepower of the engine alone
Love that Morgan! Sam get a Speedster ☺️
It’s weird because from what we heard, the Huracan replacement is more exciting than the revuelto which supposed to be the big daddy
Also the Turbo S E-Hybrid will be a rocket, a ROCKET!
This new lambo engine if reliable and sounding good will decimate all!!
This is a top quality podcast , thank you for making it 🙏
I think hybrid on a sports car is going in the wrong direction. Gordon Murray has the right idea. Light is the answer to sports car fun. Let's hope they keep the Boxster 4.0 stick shift without hybrid and fix the gear ratios.
They can't fix the ratios without breaking the law, if I remember correctly it's to do with the EU noise laws on a drive by, to get a 4.0 NA engine through emissions, noise and other regs must be a challenge with only 6 gears
The 718 models are going electric in 2025, so not much hope there
@@eigilleikvam119 Ouch! That makes the current 4.0 stick even more desirable. I think Matt Farah did the perfect thing with the engine upgrade and the shorter gear ratios. A legend.
@@ReeceT20 In US it is probably less strict. There are people regearing it to get rid of those tall low gears.
981 S sweet spot, undiluted sound, usable and enjoyable levels of power
I enjoyed Tony's mention of "dross" early on in the podcast. Even though his use of it as mindless conversation is different than what I think of dross as. 😉
Noooo last episode 😭😭
The lads liking the Type R!? WHAT?!
The Ferrari SF90 has a turbo 4.0 V8 with battery power with close to 1000hp. Almost 2 tons. Granted only revs to 8,000 rpms
Rate my ride stopover: each take a car to say the Lakes for 24 hours, but have a pub chat about them over some pints and a bowl of chips.
Porsche 911 Turbo S power seems to always track the power of the mid engine Ferrari V8 products before it. 430, 458, 488 and now I imagine the Pista power of 710+ will be where the Porsche sits
What about having the chance on rotation throughout the series of actual viewers hoping to dynamic duo on some of the next series
Bring on Neil Clifford!!
literally seems like it's going to be a Revuelto killer. Lambo's money and time have gone into this more than their flagship😂
Auto Alex collab would be great for a more affordable car suggestion podcast.
the general advice is - do not take a normal rentacar on the ring, it is excluded in the small print and the major rental companies have car spotters checking the reg numbers of cars going round. Even if you don't have a claim, you will get charged a steep premium
And banned from renting in future
Love the podcast guys!
Quick question, is it worth choosing the carbon backed bucket seats in the new BMW M2? It's around £9,000 but they look great lol.
Absolutely not 😅 that's a hilarious amount of money for a pair of seats. If you get the proper gearbox, they're also deeply uncomfortable to use.
@@Kempy89 Fair enough, I was wanting it automatic.
They are ridiculously expensive but I wouldn’t want any regret after spending a stupid amount of money on the car to begin with. Thanks for you opinion dude ❤️
@@sneakymemes573 tbf bud, only you can decide if they're worth it or not. For me, I'd much rather have some proper BMW Motorsport buckets if I wanted to upgrade them. The carbon backs do look nice, but I just hate being ripped off for stuff and theyre no where near £9k worth of seats in my view.
If I was a betting man I'd say those 911 hybrids will start at 600ps with the Turbo/S being around 720-750. Tony is right though it will be interesting to see how any extra potential weight will change the driving dynamics, especially of the turbo/s. My concern is that if the 911 starts getting too heavy and loses its agility the greatest sports car of all time will just turn into a GT car......
We know the weight of the hybrid system, it’s only 60 pounds so no problem for dynamics
The 911 is already a GT car. Perhaps in its lightest form with rear wheel steering it can feel agile, but it's too big, the exhaust noise has tamed and its mostly a turbo car bar thr gt3.
The N/A cayman or boxster varients are true sport cars with modern comforts.
300-400bhp, mid engined, PSE and without the dam gpf filters.
I settled on the 981S for that very reason.
News of the 911- they will release the base variants then the GTS which will have the new hybrid system….3.6L engine with circa 100bhp electric boost
Talking of insurance I made an interesting discovery whilst renewing my car and knowing I was going to Europe started looking deeper at policy wording and of the 20 quotes I got back that stated European cover 19 had 3rd party cover only only 1 had fully comp equal to my uk coverage - I wonder how’s many people travel to Europe non the wiser that they only have 3rd party cover
Fancy a Prawn Sandwich Tony? 🤔🤣
Be great to get Mat Armstrong on
44:07 *beep* “we are checking” *beep*
Richard Porter is my vote for a guest
I always hoped that when these sportcars go hybrid, they would ditch the turbo und just use the hybrid for that. So you get a bit more hp than the previous one but gain the sound and soul from NA back. Instead they keep the turbo and add 150hp to every car... Don't know where to use and why you would want that + the weight. The hybrid instead of turbo would at least safe some weight again.
My bet is 285k list for the Hurucan replacement
Kills an hour fellas
Keep an eye on views with the guest episodes because I know other podcasts have reported that the episodes where its just the regular hosts perform much better than the episodes with a guest.
i don't know if this is true, but i read that the hybrid system in the new 911 is a rimac developed 2kwh battery with an electric motor that produces 90hp. And it supposedly only weighs 26kg extra in total with wiring, battery and motor.
Exactly
I think Tony meant a ‘price point car’
lol we have a 2016 bmw X5 with 7 seats and a towbar. Tow our caravan with it. Chuffing brilliant wouldn’t change it for anything unless I won the lottery.
Nothing on the new NA V12 from Aston?
So the new Hurican replacement will be faster than a Revuelto??
The new 911 hybrid won’t be heavy. The hybrid system is only 60 pounds. The hybrid 911 that did a laptime is just a carrera S but it’s not faster than a 992 turbo S. The 992 turbo S time on internet (7:17) is false, it was the time of the 991.2 turbo S and there is no time for the 992 turbo S
But for reference, this carrera S hybrid is faster on the nurb than an M4 CSL
Season seven was good for Seinfeld so it will be the same with you.
Please bring AutoAlex on as a guest and I would love to see Shmee150 back too.
Tony locked in his price at $291,000, and Sam is at $246,000 for the new Lambo, I am thinking $399,000 starting price US Dollars =
GBP £ 314,172.60.
52:37 about 0.5 miles from my house
Is that redline now confirmed? Heard a lot of rumours
That is what the company post says
It already said on the lamborghini video that they posted yesterday
It’s chasing the SF90.
That's what the Revuelto is doing, the Huracan replacement is going after the 296 GTB
how much was the last tour does anyone know?
Guests would love to see: Joe Achilles, JWW, JayEmm, Mat Watson, Henry Catchpole, Ben Colins, Mat Armstrong, Chris Harris
So the huracan has more horses than an 812 super fast
If the Huracan replacement starts at £296k ... :D
What's a chav? sorry i'm not from the UK
Invite Chris Harris, Henry Catchpole.
Hyundai Elantra N, Lamborghini Temerario
The turbo's on the new Lamborghini will not kick in before 7k rpm
Could it be that the 992 Hybrid would be a new model in the line. Not a facelift (.2) of S, GTS or so. Makes little sense that S or GTS would be as fast as Turbo, more so both being the same model (992, one being .1 and the other .2)
No it’s the facelift because it has the new headlights and front/rear bumper. It’s a carrera S because they said it’s +- 8 seconds quicker the precedessor and the carrera S did 7:25 but it’s not faster than a turbo S. They said that in the video because on internet you can see 7:17 for the 992 turbo S but it’s an error, it’s the time from a 991.2 turbo S(and even not on cup2). There is no time for the 992 turbo S but it would be a lot faster than 7:17
@@CLSTRN911 Aha, it makes sense. Let us see
Burb-erry
That urus SE is horrendous
200k for 2+2 car, GTC4Lusso V12 here I come
Makes total sense for Lambo to move upmarket from Ferrari at this point. No one in under the Age of 40 wants a ferrari anymore. RICH kids want lamborghinis, TH-camrs want lambos, and those that can't afford them want McClaren's. Lamborghini as a brand needs to separate themselves from McClaren more than Ferrari because I don't think Ferrari and Lamborghini have actually been competing since 10 years ago. Meanwhile Ferrari will continue to cater only to the old boys club until they all die and are forced to adapt.
Ooooooo :)
Invite Matt Armstrong
Anyone else scrub the intro to avoid the same old welcome announcement? Makes me shudder when introductions never change! We all know who and what we are listening/viewing, why the need to announce it every time..? Let Tony do a different intro each week!! Now, back to the studio...
Guest suggestion would be the smoking tire guys as Matt hasn’t met Tony yet and maybe a vid on the main channel be cool.
I've been watching the podcast for awhile now, but I don't recall Sam ever bringing a guest on a Teams or Zoom type platform? That would be an option to at least have Matt on the show, seeing that he lives across the globe.
Interesting stats on the new lambo but you have to assume it will be deliberately slower than the Revuelto which carwow has already shown is a touch slower (straight line) than an SF90 which is also shown to be basically identical to a 296 once the 296 isn't traction limited.
I'm not sure carwow is necessarily a good basis for establishing the performance of any given car 😅
Also, stats of a supercar are totally and utterly irrelevant these days. Pub talk nonsense. They're all ludicrously fast. Get the one that excites you most.
Weight is a supercar killing experience..not sure how relevant straight line acceleration is..they are all quick.
The problem is the baby versions end up driving better than the flagship versions. The 296 is a lighter, better handling, better sounding car that has proven that it’s pretty much exactly as quick as its bigger brother. I can see this Huracan replacement following in the exact same direction
SF90 is considerably faster than the 296, especially from a dig
@@-LK34- from a dig it’s obviously quicker, but 60-130 and 1/4 mile trap speeds don’t lie.
Does anyone here have a Morgan please, just so these two can do a rate my ride in it, would be hilarious
Lambo guys got money…. And girls😂😂
"They are piles of sh*t, but you can still buy a good pile of p** if you're lucky " Car salesman
Tony - that outfit....no brother ..NO!
Can we not see Tony's legs in Season 7, please? Other than that, love the content!
It's the GR Corolla that compete's with the Civic Type R Sam not the Yaris
The GR Corolla isn't available in the UK, though. It's for the North American market.
Price range = for the poors 😅
Type R dare I say it looks a bit bland.
get Mr JWW on the podcast would be a great episode to watch.
