What to do in DUBAI for 6 HOURS?

Coming from New Zealand to Spain, we had a 6 HOUR stop over in Dubai. So we decided to leave the airport and see how much of the city we could actually see.
We caught the train, saw the Dubai Shopping Mall, Aquarium and the Burj Khalifa. Then it was back to the airport.

Its amazing what you can do in 6-8hours. If you guys had more time in Dubai, what else would you do? or more of?
I know right! It was great, really happy we left the airport. I would say, we would definitely go into the actual aquarium and go to the top of the Burj Khalifa. That would be amazing. We plan on going back to Dubai in the future

Question guys: how much time did you spend outside the airport and how many hours left till your next flights did you make the u-turn back to the airport?
We got back to the airport with probably an hour and a half to spare. We’re a bit paranoid with missing flights but that have us enough time for peace of mind
Did you take transit visa??
Do you need a visa to visit Dubai for a few hours from the airport?
We did not. We could just go out of the airport without one. But this was 5 years ago so maybe worth double checking
Did you have check out your luggage or does your luggage still go to the final destination?
Our luggage was put on our next flight. But make sure to check that when boarding your first flight. You can ask when you check your luggage in
How were you able to get out of the airport? Do you need a visa for it?
No visa was required. We simply got out normally and no questions were asked
We have stop over for 9,5 hours. But we arrive at 00:00 😔😔 dont know if everything is open at the night
same happens to me, I arrive at 00:30 and have to be in the airport again around 12:00 pm, so I´m going to stay in a hotel inside the airport for 6 hrs to have time to discover the city in other 6
Do we need a visa to get out of the airport ?
we didn't have a visa and they let us out, no questions asked
