I ran cross country in high school and wasnt quite good enough for college, but month after i graduated i added this workout once before and once after running 5-15 miles everyday and my 5k race has gone from 18:16 to 15:47 in just 4 months.Now i am getting scholarship offers from colleges for running This workout really does help with cardio!!!!!!! it was like that for me too but then i decided to really pace myself for rounds 3 and 4. Now im used to doing the entire workout without stopping. i hope this helps you out good luck!
Great workout, I put two or three of your videos together for a 10 to 20 min workout and then do your streaching routine. Its brutal. I'm 48 and trying to get back in shape.
i do it once a day, but thats ontop of a physically demanding job and after work i do more exercises including this one. on a normal day and im going easy on my self this is barely trouble, today i really pushed myself. i went at a quicker pace than mike aswell as inbetween transitions did some pushups. i was laying dead still after the workout! the trick is, you DEMAND the workout, you DEMAND the muscle, YOU DEMAND the burn, YOU DEMAND the growth and fat loss. its only as hard as you make it.

Great workouts you have going on Awesome Job... I recently have started the 7 minute work out after 16 years of not training. Intensity training really hits the spots and lets you know its working so glad I came across this training method as you only train 21 minutes a week. Keep up the training and supplying the training tips!!
When Mike Chang was almost humble and tried to teach you something. I like this video and I can recommend it for sure. I used this workout and variations of it (that I made up) as well as a few unique workouts to get abs. Good on anyone who can finish this workout. If anyone is asking on the Calorie burn I wouldn't suggest focusing on that. As long as you are giving it all you got and feel like you are going to pass out at the end, then you did a good job burning whatever the hell you needed to burn.
Im bout to try this...ive gotten in shape i lost 45 bounds in the last month now the only thing left to do is get rid of this little belly fat wich i cant do...so we shall see ILL KEEP YALL POSTED!!!! be back in 30 days

I need help, however, I am trying to lose some weight, gain muscle, but I packed a lot of fat recently (freshman thirty....) and I've tried workouts, but I have really bad knees already (they are proportionally smaller than other people's, thanks mom and dad haha) and they crack and lot, what workouts do you suggest for in home cardio or lifting?

my fav workout advice besides the blond body rock girl, zuzka light. obviously for getting ripped you are the man! i took 2 years off to enjoy laziness and mild depression. now its time to lose weight for the first time ever. never gained weight before. i will enjoy shedding it like a fur coat, too easy!
I mixed this with my chest press flies push- ups and decline push-ups and let me tell you it kicked my ass I went to failure (midway thru round three I couldn't do anymore period) and I was swore all over thank you for this workout it's awesome

These are too nice.My wrist is alittle weak so I couldn't do to many planks or burpees any suggestions that take the pressure off my wrist but allows me to workout effectively.
I love this workout! Your heart rate goes up so fast by the time you're already done with the first minute! And I have a question: does this workout have the afterburn effect??
hey mike i have a question. most hiit exercises are only 10-12 mins long although they are really intense! is that enough exercise for the day for you to get ripped or you still have to pair them up with other exercise? i guess what im asking is is 10-12 "all' you really need to be fit. thanks! great vids!!
Mike...do you own any shirts? =D Lol, not that I'm complaining, just curious :). This was a great workout by the way, pretty intense. I gave it a run this morning after I did 30mins of HIITs, and then did the ab workout you have on another video (reverse crunches, toe touches, planks). I feel great, but this workout in particular was a challenge- which is great. Thanks for sharing your ideas and the videos, it helps a lot!

Yes you can definitely mix it up. There's a lot of cardio exercises. Doing just one exercise will turn easily after a while. You'll have so much resistance and will be able to beat Mike as you play his video and do the exercise with him....
This is a great routine. I used to do an abs session once a week but stopped doing them while I became more focused on other muscle groups. After not training abs for about 2 months I managed to do 2 rounds, not great I know. But I didn't want to totally destroy my abs as I've got a busy day tomorrow and can't be dealing with the annoying pain whenever I use my abs for a movement. I was wondering, how many times a week should you do an exercise like this? Is once enough? Also does this routine work lower, upper and side abs?
yes it is. if you have strong ab muscles they can take this workout easily. the issue isnt your muscule then, its the fat you have over that muscule that is keeping people from seeing them. This is a good thing and means your in good shape :)
what i like to do if im reasonably tired is cycle for 30-40 minutes but i'll do this straight after my workout with weights , gain muscle and slowly slim out swimming is also good if you have that kind of access ! good luck mate
Even though I play tennis very competitively, I still feel like I'm not as tone as I should be...so hopefully doing these things really help to tone me out the way I wanted to. Playing college tennis without being super tone, just makes you feel less comparable and the thing is that I'm actually fairly well built, but again, I don't think I'm at my highest potential so I'm gonna start doing these workouts...all I can do is benefit myself and my core strength which is a definite plus in tennis.

I usually do abs after my workouts but my cardio is how I start exercising. Since this is a combined video of those, does it matter if cardio is done before or after exercising?
