When opening jump rings, instead of treating them like a crab claw that opens outward, try opening them like a hinge that swing back and forth, so that the ring is off kilter but you’re not trying to recreate the circle. Sorry if that’s confusing it’s hard to explain without visual support!
Just wanted to let yk that this video is how I got into polymer clay and I love it here ! Hope all is well. Thank you for inspiring me to take a leap in a different path than what I was already doing artistically ✨💕 Sending you so much love
This is the perfect beginner video. Your design is so cute. Also, the seasonings cap is GENIUS!!! I am going to have to try that as I have been trying to get something bigger than a quarter lol
This has got me really excited. Such a brill video to watch. I am starting my own small business soon. And I was excited, when I saw your results 😊❤️❤️
Wow, those turned out so beautiful. What a neat fun design, super creative. I've never made my own earrings either, but that doesn't look too hard at all. Maybe I'll give it a try someday. I'd love to watch any other earring videos if you decide to make more, it was super relaxing to watch.
QUEEN!!! These are so adorable!! Girlfriend! Omg. I am mesmerized. Can you do more? I'm so into this. What a fun project. Honestly I'm tempted to try haha LOVE your pattern. This was so easy to follow
Katrina S Thank you Katrina!! I would LOVE to film more of these videos, it was so fun for me and gave me something to do while I’m stuck at home haha 💗 I think you’d find clay so relaxing, give it a try!!
Thank you for this tutorial! 🙌🙌 I’ve been so interested in making my own poly earrings and yours is the first video I watched. You made it so it looks like it couldn’t be easier! 💚💚
I’ve learned that the temperature you bake your clay is more important than how long the clay is cooked. I would check out the directions for your clay specifically to see how hot the oven should be. My earrings are not rock hard, but they aren’t rubber either. For the smooth look, I used an exacto knife and cut off the excess clay so it was all even! Hope this helps 💛
Thanks so much! I was referring to the circle cut outs! I linked them in the description. They’re from Amazon and we’re around $8 💕 Have fun making earrings!
Sudney! These looked soo professional and the design was so cool! Absolutely loved them 💞 I love watching diy videos even though I'll probably never attemt to make the things lol this looked pretty straightforward though!
Every time I see cute earrings I always think of you! Loveeeeee that you are making your own now :) Seriously open an Etsy shop - you KNOW your small youtuber friends would buy some! These turned out SOOOOO cute! Do you get your craftiness from anyone in your family?!
I love that you think of me when you see earrings omg!! My mom is pretty creative but never has time to find a time for a creative outlet haha, I have been trying to get her to make earrings with me. Alsooo I would love to send all you girls some earrings in the future 💘
Such a simple process for fantastic results! Thank you for sharing! You say you kept checking the clay every 5 mins when it was in the oven - what were you checking for? How do you know when they're done? Thank you :) x
Hi there! I basically kept periodically checking to make sure it wasn’t burning or changing color. I’m still new to clay making so didn’t want to mess them up haha! ☺️ I have burnt ones before and forgot about them in the oven and oh my they were ruined...
Hmm good question!! Not sure if you can bake the earposts. But super glue was enough, I let it dry overnight before wearing them 😃 let me know how it works for you.
I make polymer clay jewelry for a living. You can definitely super glue it, but there’s a chance that the posts can pop off over time. The best way to secure things to polymer clay is polymer clay. I use poly clay paste (it’s literally like really thick elmers glue) then you add some of that to the posts and bake for 30 minutes to cure. I add a little more clay on the back to cover the round part of the earring post to help secure it further.
Melissa Mele that’s so sweet of you! My shop is on a little break right now! It’s VioletDesignStudioUS, but you can follow my Instagram until my shop is back up if you’d like! It’s @vio.let.designstudio
That’s what I have been using! Just make sure your temperature is set to the temp you need for the clay. I’ve over burnt mine before 🤪 I do use separately oven sheets for clay and food.
Thanks so much for watching! I used TEMONING polymer clay. I linked it in the description box 💕 It doesn’t come with that much of each color but it’s good for beginners like myself hahah
I use Parchment paper! It’s the same as Wax paper if you’re familiar with that. It just helps the clay not stick to the paper and is easy to get off ☺️
Omg amazing! 💓 I think these are amazing I am making a company! So I so exited 💕 I am making studs mostly...Work is in progress 🙃 i'm a 10 year old give me a break your work is like a Professional so....Once again give me a break 😂 anyways Have an amazing day 💝

Can u tell me what the texture should be after baking. Mine seems like rubber, it’s not hard. I also want to know how you got your sides smooth?

Any polymer clay will work or do i need the brand one like sculpey and fimo?
Any clay work, this brand was pretty cheap! However nicer brands like Sculpey and Fimo will be easier to work with. They tend to be softer ☺️
@@SydneyKate1 Thank you sydney🤗...do you have any tips or video on how to soften the clay?
what do you call those circle cutters. 3:28
Please where I can buy the stainless stuff to make earring
I ordered everything off Amazon! Products are linked in the description box 💕
But I don’t think there is amazon in kuwait😥
Beautiful project of your jewelry Syd!! Love it!! ❤️
Thanks Maya!! 💛 I had fun!!
Hello so I plan on making a pair of polymer clay earrings for my best friend but was wondering if these are good for sensitive ears
Hi! I would recommend looking into buying sterling silver earring posts! They may be a bit more expensive but they would help sensitive ears 💜
So pretty! You’re so creative!
Stephany Rene THANKS GIRL 😘
About to try this today!!
Yay have fun!! Let me know how it goes 😍
They are a beautiful pair... i wanna try as well... where can i find polymer clay ...? Hardware stores? Stationery ?
Thanks so much! I ordered them off Amazon. But I’m sure you could find some if you have a craft store or a Walmart near you? 😊 I’m in America.
@@SydneyKate1 ... thnks ... I'm in Central America ... greetings... keep on ur nice work...
Just wondering. Is it best to have separate ovens for baking food and clays? 😬 or its ok to use both in the same place?
I use the same one for both! I think others do too 😉
Such a simple process for fantastic results!
I don't know whether my oven works in °C or F and this is getting me so confused I am scared imma ruin my clay
Hey! Where did you buy your materials like the earring posts and dangly thingys? Thank u and I appreciate the video!
mikayla lane Hi! Everything is from Amazon. I linked everything in the description box 💗
SydneyKate sorry I missed that! Thank you so much for replying!
How we can hard this polymer clay? Are these earrings soft?
I baked them in the oven! The earrings get harder while baking, to prevent them from breaking and losing shape 😊
Thanks for this. So detailed!!🤗🧡🧡
Hi! your earrings are beautiful! Wondering was size the jump rings are (4mm?) and where you purchased them from. Thank you!
Hi! I ordered 7mm jump rings from Amazon, I linked it in the description box 💕
@@SydneyKate1 Thank you!!
Any idea why mine went from white to brown?
How long did you bake yours for? Baking times depend on the brand of clay and the thickness of it.
SydneyKate the box says 15 min but i guess it needs much less than that! Lol 😂 I’m a beginner thanksss
Will water affect it's hardness?
Sorry a bit late replying! Water would help smooth the clay out a bit. I would just make sure it’s not too wet ya know??
Those are so cute Sydney! 😍
Thank youuu!! 💗😊
Thank you so much for posting this, those look amazing! I’m definitely buying those cookie cutter things 😍
The cookie cutters are GREAT!! Thanks for watching 💛💛
Great job !!!! Thanks a lot for sharing
Madiha Bilal thanks for watching ❤️
love it im going to try..question could you bake the earpost with the clay? or just superglue is enough?
Hmm good question!! Not sure if you can bake the earposts. But super glue was enough, I let it dry overnight before wearing them 😃 let me know how it works for you.

Pretty earrings! 🥺
Thanks so so much!! 💕
Hey i dont have microwave so can i dry in sunlight
Hmm I would give it a try! Let me know how it works. If it’s hot enough outside it probably would harden a little bit 😉
I love the final outcome of you earrings! I wanna try it! Btw, is it ok to use the same oven for clay and for food ?
That’s what I have been using! Just make sure your temperature is set to the temp you need for the clay. I’ve over burnt mine before 🤪 I do use separately oven sheets for clay and food.

What type of Parchment Paper do you use?
I just have Reynolds Non-Stick parchment paper! 💛
Sorry, may I know what name of the paper? I don’t really understand what you saying. Sorry for my bad English 😆
I use Parchment paper! It’s the same as Wax paper if you’re familiar with that. It just helps the clay not stick to the paper and is easy to get off ☺️
