Why is that gap in the bars so large??? It's the exact size of the sharks they're trying to keep out

It's as if they screened which sharks were allowed in to act in this scene. Smaller but just as deadly sharks would not be allowed in this scene because they could have gotten in. A narrower much safer-take-no-chance-cage-build would mean less drama. So the scene director, after screening the shark sizes made the cage larger, enhanced the bait scent and yelled to the sharks "Action." That's TH-cam I guess! I bet those sharks that got jammed after getting so far into the cage yelled "this is uh...reel click bait." :>)

It's to fit the camera. But ya it's so dumb to compromise their's and the shark's safety just to get a good video.

I can't believe that they use bait boxes to attract the sharks. I always thought the cage was only to protect the human (psychologically anyway) in an area where the sharks naturally swim. Glad that I know this now, coz I wanted to swim with sharks and was considering cage diving. This is wrong.

Well, aside from the obvious baiting, they are also electrically sensitive. Annnnnd.... you're in cages using cameras, moving around, making sounds, etc.
Makes sense to me that, when they can't see the bait, they'd go after the cages.

they had no control, they should have tried with bait aswell and see if it made the sharks agressive. its very rare for cage dives to end in attacks, so chances are any random time you attrack them with bait they wont be agressive.
