My Baby Bearded Dragon Is Sick :(

- This vlog is kind of a sad one as I take my baby bearded dragon into the exotic vet to see why he is not eating. The vet found coccidia and pinworm in his fecal sample so they gave me some parasite medication to give to him to clear it out. I was very stressed as I just got my bearded dragon and this is my first pet, let alone first reptile pet. I hope this video was informational to other bearded dragon owners or potential owners looking into getting a beardie. Thank you guys for all your prayers and concerns for my little guy! Hi this is Audrey from the future! I filmed this video mid-September and now we are in the beginning of October. Since this video was filmed, my bearded dragon has gone to the vet 3 times and the last visit discovered that the fecal sample no longer has parasites 🎉However, my beardie is still not eating on his own. The 2nd time we took him to the vet, they gave us some antibiotic injections to give him for a respiratory infection and now he only has one left to go. We are not sure why he is still not eating and think it may be a side effect of the medication, at least that is what we are hoping. More videos on him are coming soon but thank you all for your concerns and love!

@@eldamar86 we would give him salt baths but didn’t let him drink it and after do a normal bath for him and that helped him but he was older when it happened so it was possible easier for him to get better

Hand feeding hasn't worked so the vet told us to syringe feed him until he eats on his own again

Sending prayers for your cute little bearded dragon
When my bearded dragon stoped eating I gave him blueberries aka his favorite food I also gently and slowly squeezed some water into his mouth also soaking in warm water that helps a lot . Not sure if bearded dragon has a name but I think Violet would be cute or toothless , violet because ultraviolet bulb and toothless because dragon The most likely cause of this is because when you get a bearded dragon from pet shops or any place that isn’t reptile specific then they are prone to have lots of diseases and shorter lifespans that is why I got mine from blue Ridge reptile rescue

I used to take care of my schools bearded dragon and when we would give her a bath we would brush her with a tooth brush. Next time you give your bay bearded dragon a bath you should try it. He or she might like it.

Tip. Never peel any skin off them because you can really damage the skin when you peel it off. It can cause an infection

Hey I hope you're beardie is doing okay. Idk if anyone said this, but the spray that you used to waterproof the inside of the enclosure could have been the cause of the cough. Another thing I noticed was that the UVB wasn't covering the area where your beardie spends most of their time. Much love to you for caring so much and doing as much as you possibly could. Especially taking them to a vet! ❤

So I just Google the temtpature a bearded dragon be at and this what I got During the day, the optimum basking area temperature for a Bearded dragon is 40-42°C (104-107°F) with the cool end sitting at around 22-25°C (71-77°F). A heat source placed in one end of the enclosure is usually enough to keep the temperatures within the required range across the entire thermogradient.

My dream pet was a turtle and they died because they weren't eating a lot. They weren't drinking a lot and the next day after I went to there.
Habitat. There was a hole in the and a habitat area and they were not in there so I look around and see them under my bed and they died

1 more thing When you put your bearded dragon to bed they need a break from their lights... For example Their bodies need a break from heat, and UVB light. So your temperature s are fine. So you do not need a heat lamp at night because your bearded dragons body needs a break from the heat.

@AllAroundAudrey Is it a girl or a boy? I thought my beardie was a boy but we found out it was a girl when it lay eggs. Also you need a thermometer in the cage to know what the temperature is at all times.
