Kansas has ZERO business playing in a power 5 conference in football. High School stadium that was half empty and half of those there were sooner fans, team captains that won't shake hands, humiliated at home on their senior day...seniors who won what....3 games in their careers? I think Mayfield was the only player there who was doing whatever was necessary to get up to play this horrendous game.
David Cole meh. ...we'll keep em always good for a W on the football schedule and helps the big 12 keep a reputation as a basketball conference too.
KU is setting themselves up for a Big East bid, when the Big 12 collapses from OU and Texas leaving. They won't need a football team at all to play in that conference.

They have a lot of issues in Lawrence, football isn't the only problem not to mention their program has had enormous issues since I think around 2007. But trust that almost no one in Kansas wants to stay in Kansas for football. Almost everyone I know either went to juco's to transfer out of state later or went to Missouri school's like MU or DII schools like northwest Missouri. Unless your closer towards K-State or farther towards Colorado.
Mayfield has singlehandedly made college football fun to watch again and the only thing he's ever done wrong is apologize for it.

Glad to see Kyler Murray had some extended playing time. He showed some flashes of being a very good quarterback. I'm excited to see what the future holds for this guy.

Kansas should be ashamed of themselves. Bakers 'grabbing' was wrong, but the thug'ish behavior of the Kansas players should be the story. Kansas football, what a disgrace to the game!

Kansas didn't kare if they won or lost they were trying to get to Mayfield's head which it did work because Mayfield didn't play his best game but Kansas was 1-9 so it's worth a try. Kansas really had nothing to lose sense there season was already over.

Baker Mayfield is a competitor. Disney owns ABC and ESPN and are in favor of getting attentions and ratings. It's just the cameras that show the bullshit reality show for the viewers that never played the game. You think that these cameramen and announcers (including Greg Mcleroy) ever even sniffed Mayfield's stats in NCAA football? No. Not to mention Mcleroy was downplaying Baker's chance at the Heisman two weeks ago and all of the sudden changes his mind. It's just what they show on air to get ratings. Alabama and Oklahoma have the best, proven, and sound offenses in the country. Stats don't lie. But, I forgot, everyone has played football and competed for a National Championship. He works his ass of to compete. That's what these games are about. If you make a judgement on grabbing his dick and saying fuck you to some guys that were trying to hurt him intentionally is not something that would make you mad, than you have no idea what it's like to ever get cheap shots in this game. The haters are going to hate. Period.
McElroy was the same Alabama quarterback that Flipped off the crowd after a TD pass he made. I would say that was worse because Mayfield antics were directed at the other teams players, not the fans.

Not really sleepwalked, the wind was playing havoc with the pass game so KU just lined up to stop the run. Once the pass game picked up in the 2nd half, the running game got going as well.
Always fun to beat the hell out of KU.

One would think the ESPN sportscasters were evangelicals or something the way the, bitched and and moaned about Mayfield's "antics"almost the entire third quarter. Us too, but it is nearly impossible to keep ones head on right when constantly hit after the whistle and that obvious targeting foul that went unflagged is incredible. The only thing worse than the Kansas football team as I saw it was the officiating.
I was disappointed it didn't lead to a benching, given the game was well in hand. But then I found out Riley didn't know about it until after the game.
